New Fever Coach Stephanie White Makes Big Caitlin Clark Admission
When the Indiana Fever take the court Saturday to open the 2025 WNBA season, they'll look noticeably different from a year ago. Still led by Caitlin Clark, who averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.4 assists in her rookie season, the Fever now feature a deeper, more experienced roster. Veterans like Sophie Cunningham, DeWanna Bonner, Brianna Turner, and Natasha Howard were added in the offseason, bringing leadership and toughness to a core that already includes Clark, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell. Advertisement The Fever not only made roster changes but also brought in a new head coach after parting ways with Christie Sides. Stephanie White is now in charge after spending the last two seasons with the Connecticut Sun. Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (22) looks on with head coach Stephanie Becker-Imagn Images Over the past few weeks, White has been leading practices and coaching preseason games as she gets the Fever ready for the new season. In the process, she's already gotten a firsthand look at how mature Clark is, despite it being just her second year in the WNBA. White recently admitted to ESPN's Alexa Philippou that Clark is "far beyond her years." "She's far beyond her years in terms of her understanding of how to work," White said. "Oftentimes, you see rookies, even the great ones, where it usually takes three years for them to figure it out. She's got it figured out." Clark's rookie year was nothing short of historic. She earned Rookie of the Year honors, made the All-Star team, was named to the All-WNBA First Team, led the league in assists, and even finished in the top five in MVP voting. Advertisement Now, as she enters her second season, Clark is the current betting favorite to win MVP. According to ESPN Bet, she's listed at +200, just ahead of Aces star A'ja Wilson (+225) and Lynx forward Napheesa Collier (+300). 2025 NFL Draft betting, odds, lines: 'One-way action on the over' — Oddsmakers don't have a clue where Shedeur Sanders will be drafted either
Former Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders is one of the biggest stories of the 2025 NFL Draft, and much of the discourse over the last few weeks — and months — has been concerning where he will be drafted. Scouts are clearly mixed on Sanders, as highlighted by one anonymous scout telling Tom Pelissero that Sanders had "the worst formal interview I've ever been in in my life." Generally, he's been projected as the second quarterback to be drafted, but at the end of the 2024-25 college football season it looked like he would be in the top five or top 10, and now he could be out of the first round entirely. Oddsmakers certainly aren't sure where he'll be drafted, either, which is part of the reason they hate booking the NFL Draft. Sanders fell out of the first round entirely in Yahoo Sports' final mock draft, with Cam Ward (No. 1), Jaxson Dart (No. 9) and Jalen Milroe (No. 21) going before him. Sanders opened as the +300 favorite to be drafted first at BetMGM when the market opened right after the 2024 NFL Draft, but those odds lengthened as the draft process played out — and Cam Ward is now the overwhelming favorite to go No. 1 overall to the Tennessee Titans in Thursday's Round 1. Circa Sports in Nevada opened Sanders' positional over/under at 8.5 last week, with the over (Sanders drafted after pick No. 8) at -380 and the under at +260. The sportsbook closed the market Wednesday — Nevada requires NFL Draft markets to be closed 24 hours before the first pick — with Sanders still at 8.5 but with the over at -1100. "One-way action on the over," Jeff Benson, director of sportsbook operations at Circa Sports, told Yahoo Sports via direct message on X. On Wednesday, as information came out that the New Orleans Saints may not have interest in Sanders at No. 9, his over/under was on the move at sportsbooks. (BetMGM doesn't offer player positional over/unders.) ESPN Bet moved Sanders' over/under from 8.5 all the way to 21.5, with the under at -140. The Pittsburgh Steelers have the 21st pick and have Mason Rudolph as their current starting QB. 'Oddsmaking around the draft is more art than science, compared to setting lines for matchups where you have performance data on two teams," Adrian Horton, director, North American sports trading at ESPN Bet, told Yahoo Sports via email. "We're following all draft news closely, monitoring betting activity, and moving markets in line with that. With reports of the Saints no longer interested in Sanders at 9, we moved his line to the next likely pocket of teams with a need at quarterback.' ESPN Bet reported that 36.2% of bets and 72.7% of handle were on the over at 8.5, and since the move to 21.5 that 89.2% of bets and 97.1% of handle have been on the under. DraftKings Sportsbook moved Sanders' over/under to 14.5 (over -400) on Wednesday, while FanDuel also moved it all the way to 21.5 (under -168). The 2025 NFL Draft begins 8 p.m. ET Thursday in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Sidney Crosby Drops Five-Word Statement on Avalanche-Stars
Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins are watching the Stanley Cup Playoffs from home for the third straight year. Before that, they made 16 consecutive appearances dating back to the 2006–07 season, winning three Cups in that span. Many might wonder what a player of Crosby's caliber does when his team is eliminated. Does he get back on the ice immediately to train? Advertisement The answer is simple: he watches the playoffs just like any other fan. And he's been tuned into arguably one of the most exciting first-round matchups between two heavyweights. The Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars have delivered a series to remember so far. In Game 1, the Avalanche dominated, winning 5-1, but the Stars quickly bounced back in the next two matchups. Colorado answered with a 4-0 blowout in Game 4, only for Dallas to return the favor with a 6-2 win in Game 5. Game 6 was a wild one, with Colorado edging out Dallas 7-4 in a contest that felt like a goal every few minutes. Now, the two teams will face off in a decisive Game 7 on Saturday night. The winner will advance to the second round to meet the Winnipeg Jets vs. St. Louis Blues series winner. Advertisement Crosby shared his thoughts on everything that has transpired so far in the Avalanche-Stars first-round matchup. It has been great hockey," Crosby said. Dallas Stars' Evgenii Dadonov (63) and Colorado Avalanche's Gabriel Landeskog (92)Ron Chenoy-Imagn Images Dallas has been shorthanded this series, missing two key players: forward Jason Robertson and defenseman Miro Heiskanen. Even so, the Stars have put themselves in a position to get the job done as they push for a return to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 2020. The Avalanche, meanwhile, are looking to get back for the first time since winning it all in 2022. Game 7 is set for 8 p.m. ET. According to ESPN Bet, Colorado enters as a -170 favorite, while Dallas sits at +145. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The Cleveland Cavaliers could be without their All-Star guard for a massive Game 4 in which they have a chance to close things out. The Cavaliers could be without Darius Garland, who continues to deal with a toe injury. Darius Garland #10 and Donovan Mitchell #45 of the Cleveland Cavaliers celebrate during the fourth quarter against the LA Clippers at Rocket Arena on March 30, 2025 in Cleveland, Ohio. The Cavaliers defeated the Clippers 127-122. More Photo byCavaliers head coach Kenny Atkinson was quite vague when discussing the possibility of Garland suiting up for Game 4. "Listen, I'd love for him to play, obviously," Atkinson said. "I'm a conservative doctor. I'm going to prescribe the conservative thing. If they give me two choices, that would be my recommendation. Be more conservative." Garland was unable to give it a go in Game 3. Nonetheless, the Cavaliers took care of business and in a big way on the road, coming away with a win and a commanding 3-0 series lead, 124-87. The 25-year-old has been fantastic in the series, averaging 24.0 points per game, 7.0 assists, and 2.5 rebounds while shooting 51.6 percent from the field and 41.2 percent from beyond the arc. In the regular season, Garland played in 75 games, where he averaged 20.6 points per game, 6.7 assists, and 2.9 rebounds. The Cavaliers will aim to finish the series on Monday, whether or not Garland is available. If Garland is unable to suit up, Cleveland will likely once again turn to Sam Merrill, who filled in as a starter during Game 3. Despite Garland's uncertain status, the Cavaliers are in a strong position to close things out. According to ESPN Bet, Cleveland enters as heavy road favorites with a -8.5 spread. Garland being the only name on the injury report is a positive sign overall for the Cavs as they look to advance. The Heat will do all they can to take advantage of possibly no Garland this time and force a Game 5. If the Heat happen to come away with the win, Game 5 will be in front of the Cleveland fans on Wednesday. The Cavaliers will be massive favorites in that contest, and Garland may be available for that contest.
