
CM condemns terrorist attack in Surab
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Surab, describing it as an act of aggression carried out under the banner of Fitna-ul-Hindustan.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, the CM expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue (ADCR) Hidayat Buledi, who laid down his life in the line of duty while defending the motherland.
The chief minister paid tribute to the martyred officer, stating, 'Hidayat Buledi created an unforgettable chapter of fulfilling his duty by sacrificing his life. His bravery and sense of responsibility are a source of pride for the entire nation.'
Maryam Nawaz reiterated her government's firm resolve to stand united against terrorism and safeguard Pakistan's sovereignty. She emphasized that such cowardly acts would not succeed in weakening the nation's resolve.
She extended her condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family of the martyred officer. 'By bringing the perpetrators to justice, we are sending a clear message that the brave sons of Pakistan will never back down in the face of terrorism,' she added.

Female TikToker Sana Yousuf shot dead
ISLAMABAD: A young TikToker, Sana Yousuf, was shot dead by unidentified assailants at her residence in Sector G-13/1 on Monday, police said. According to officials from the Sumbal Police Station, armed men entered her home and opened fire, killing her on the spot before fleeing the scene. Sana Yousuf, belonging from Upper Chitral, had gained a significant following on social media platforms. The victim's body was shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for a postmortem examination. CM vows to resolve issues facing overseas Pakistanis
LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif met MD Overseas Pakistanis Foundation Afzal Bhatti, here on Monday and directed all government departments as well as district administration to take steps to resolve the issues of overseas Pakistanis as soon as possible. During the meeting, it was decided to appoint focal persons for the overseas Pakistanis in the Chief Minister's Office, Chief Secretary's Office and IG's Office. The focal persons of the Punjab government will play their effective and vibrant role in resolving the issues and problems pertaining to the overseas Pakistanis. On this occasion, it was agreed to take prompt measures to make the Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab active and dynamic. The Chief Minister directed to resolve the issues of overseas Pakistanis on a priority basis. MD Overseas Pakistanis Foundation Afzaal Bhatti gave a detailed briefing about the issues and matters of overseas Pakistanis belonging to Punjab. He also apprised the CM about the issues of OPF housing societies and schools. The Chief Minister directed to resolve the problems of Overseas Pakistanis without any delay. She outlined that the current government is taking all possible steps to resolve the problems of Overseas Pakistanis at the earliest. She said that overseas Pakistanis are the valuable asset of our dear homeland. MD Overseas Pakistanis Foundation congratulated Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on the success of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos. He emphasized that all Overseas Pakistanis stand shoulder to shoulder with the government and the Pakistan Army.
