Long Strange Drive: Felix Rosenqvist to Sport Grateful Dead Livery

Fox News23-07-2025
There is a new entry for INDYCAR livery of the year — and it's a rockin' one!
Felix Rosenqvist will sport a Grateful Dead tribute livery along with SiriusXM's Grateful Dead Channel, honoring the band's 60th anniversary, for a pair of upcoming races.
The No. 60 SiriusXM Honda will feature the one-of-kind look this weekend at Laguna Seca and the August 10th race at Portland International Raceway.
The custom car design comes ahead of Dead & Company's sold-out concerts in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park August 1–3 in celebration of 60 years of the band's music.
This isn't the first time this season Rosenqvist's ride has paid homage to music legends.
He teamed up with legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne and SiriusXM's Ozzy's Boneyard at the Mid-Ohio race to celebrate Black Sabbath's "Final Show at the Back to the Beginning" concert on July 5. Osbourne passed away on Tuesday at the age of 76.
The Java House Grand Prix of Monterey is set for Sunday at 3 p.m. ET live on FOX.

Good news for the Colts' third-year quarterback, who's in a competition with Daniel Jones for the starting job. Richardson was scheduled to play a quarter and a half Thursday with Jones taking the rest of the second quarter, before that playing time was flip flopped in the second preseason game. We'll see how this injury impacts that, and the competition as a whole. Bengals defense, still an issue: Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase looked like they were in regular season form already. The Bengals' defense? Not so much. The Eagles' backups moved the ball easily against Cincinnati's starters, which does not bode well for a team that has a Super Bowl-caliber offense. Perhaps this prompts momentum toward getting a deal done with Trey Hendrickson, the NFL's reigning sack king who's been holding in since July 30 while seeking a big contract extension. Chargers lose star OL Rashawn Slater for season: He suffered a torn patellar tendon after being carted off the field in training camp on Thursday, the team announced. He will undergo season-ending surgery, and will be placed on injured reserve for the rest of the year. Texans give update on CJ Gardner-Johnson

Texans give update on CJ Gardner-Johnson originally appeared on The Sporting News The Houston Texans received some good news late Thursday evening. The leg injury suffered by CJ Gardner-Johnson is not as serious as they once thought. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport Gardner-Johnson who was carted off the field Thursday, was at first thought to have a serious leg injury, some even thought her tore his Achilles or tore his ACL. Although he will have to undergo more test, the thought is that he may be ok. Early in the day, Texans head coach DeMarco Ryans had talked about how heartbreaking it was for him and the Texans to see Gardner-Johnson carted off the field. 'It's heartbreaking when you see a guy go down on the field like that and doesn't get up quickly. I'm always nervous as a head coach any time I see somebody hit the ground. It's tough to watch. We'll see, we'll evaluate where he is, but no update at this time,' said Ryans. "It's heartfelt because we're a team," Ryans added. "We're all in this together, and you see the emotion from our team. I've been on teams where you just, 'Hey, coaches, just move the ball up, and keep practicing.' I think that's very insensitive. So, we're going to take the time there, guys take a knee, pray for him, just make sure they send their teammate off well." Now that the injury doesn't look as serious as they thought, the team should get the official word today about how bad the injury is and how long Gardner-Johnson will be out. Even if he's not out the whole season, missing anytime is a blow to this team looking to improve on defense.

LaJohntay Wester opens up about unforgettable Ravens preseason moment

With 2:37 remaining in the first quarter of the Baltimore Ravens' first preseason game, the Indianapolis Colts faced a fourth-and-18 scenario. Adisa Isaac and rookie Mike Green had just met Daniel Jones to collect a sack to force a punt from Rigoberto Sanchez. What happened next was pure electricity and an adrenaline rush. Rookie LaJohntay Wester had already crafted an impressive 17-yard punt return on the night. His second effort may have gone a long way in catapulting him onto the initial 53-man roster. Here's what's funny. A man can carve out a career for himself by piecing words together to tell a story, and be rendered speechless by a moment. Words truly can't encapsulate the brilliance of LaJohntay Wester's 83-yard return. For that, you need a visual. Thank the NFL for this beauty. Fans and the Ravens' social media team took to social media to express their delight. Here are two other angles of the same return. Just appreciate the beauty. In the end, that one won't count. When Wester calls it a career and hangs up his cleats, hopefully a long time from now, that 83-yard punt return won't be part of his career stat line. 'Preseason games don't matter. ' That's what they tell us. Someone try telling that to the rookie after hearing him describe his moment. Wester finished his first preseason game with 104 return yards and a TD on three attempts. He caught two passes for 41 yards, including a 30-yarder. Again, tell him this game means nothing, and watch how he responds. Let's not overreact or place him ahead of DeAndre Hopkins, Zay Flowers, and Rashod Bateman on the depth chart. Let's appreciate what we have seen. The Ravens have found a diamond in the rough in the form of this sixth-round draft choice.
