AP govt plans to develop 10 large industrial parks
Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to develop large industrial parks at 10 locations spread over the State by offering land by AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) under PPP model.
This is the first time the State has taken up development of large industrial parks through PPP mode by inviting bids through a notification for development, operation and maintenance of large industrial parks each in an area measuring 290 to 500 acres.
A senior official of APIIC told Bizz Buzz that little over 4,000 acres has been identified for allotment in areas close to the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor (VCIC) and Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor. Different industrial nodes mooted under the corridors are located in the vicinity of the proposed industrial parks. June 6 has been set as the deadline for submission of bids for Expression of Interest (EoI).
The parks are proposed at Atchutapuram, Thimmasamudram, Kosalanagaram, Guttapadu, Komarolu, Jayanthipuram, Kothapalli, Donakonda, Santhabommaliand RouthuSuramala Industrial Clusters.
The authorities propose to develop sector-specific parks to promote investments in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, toy, electric vehicles, semiconductor, defense and aerospace, food processing, agro-processing and aqua- processing, leather, textiles, specific products and parks for downstream industries of evolving needs and drone manufacturing industries.

EAM holds bilateral meetings with visiting Central Asian FMs
New Delhi, June 5 (UNI) Ahead of the Fourth India-Central Asia Dialogue, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar today held bilateral meetings with his counterparts from the Central Asian nations. He met with FM Sirojiddin Muhriddin of Tajikistan, Deputy PM and FM Murat Nurtleu of Kazakhstan, FM Zheenbek Kulubaev of Kyrgyz Republic and FM Rashid Meredov of Turkmenistan. In posts on X, the EAM said of the bilateral meetings: 'A good meeting with FM Sirojiddin Muhriddin of Tajikistan. 'Agreed on the need to firmly counter terrorism in our region. 'Shared views on furthering our cooperation including deeper trade, investment and connectivity ties.' On his meeting with his Kazakh counterpart, he posted: 'Pleased to meet DPM & FM Murat Nurtleu of Kazakhstan this morning. 'Appreciated his reaffirmation of zero tolerance for terrorism. 'Discussed various facets of our Strategic Partnership focusing on political, trade, investment and energy cooperation. Also spoke about widening connectivity with the Central Asia region.' The two sides also signed a Program of Cooperation for strengthening India - Kazakhstan ties. On his meeting with the Kyrgyz FM, he wrote: 'A productive meeting with FM Zheenbek Kulubaev of Kyrgyz Republic. 'Thanked him for their support and solidarity in countering terrorism. 'Discussed our cooperation in banking, education, energy, health, connectivity and capacity building. 'Today's signing of Program of Cooperation is a step forward in deepening our bilateral ties'. He also met with the FM of Turkmenistan: 'Delighted to meet FM Rashid Meredov of Turkmenistan. 'A warm exchange on deepening our cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, connectivity, health and energy sectors. 'Welcome his strong condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.' EAM Jaishankar will host the Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan for the 4th meeting of the India-Central Asia Dialogue in New Delhi on June 6. The Third meeting of the Dialogue was hosted by India in New Delhi in December 2021. India and Central Asia, in each other's 'Extended Neighbourhood', enjoy close and cordial contemporary diplomatic relations underpinned by millennia old cultural and people-to-people exchanges. The first India-Central Summit held virtually in January 2022 and the mechanism of India-Central Asia Dialogue, at the level of Foreign Ministers, have taken this relationship substantially forward, a statement said. At the 4th Dialogue, on June 6, the Ministers will discuss further strengthening of relations between India and Central Asian countries with particular focus on trade, connectivity, technology, and development cooperation. They will also share perspectives on challenges to regional security and other regional and global issues of mutual interest. The Foreign Ministers will also participate in the India-Central Asia Business Council meeting on June 5, by MEA in collaboration with FICCI. The India-Central Asia Dialogue is a manifestation of mutual interest on the part of India and the Central Asian countries to forge even closer, wider and stronger partnership in a spirit of friendship, trust and mutual understanding. "India's maritime prowess soars, global collaborations give thrust to Make in India": Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal
Oslo [Norway], June 5 (ANI): The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways (MoPSW), Sarbananda Sonowal, attended the MoU signing ceremonies in Oslo, as Indian maritime companies inked them with leading global players, exploring opportunities for collaboration and future business. A Memorandum of Intent (MOI) was signed by Carsten Rehder Schiffsmakler und Rehder GmbH & Co. KG, Germany and Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd (GRSE) for the construction of an additional 4 numbers of 7,500 DWT multi-purpose vessels. These vessels will have hybrid propulsion and will adhere to the latest cybersecurity norms. This is in addition to an existing order of 8 such vessels currently being constructed at GRSE's Kolkata yard. The GRSE also signed MoUs with Aries Marine LLC from the UAE on collaboration on 'Construction of Offshore platforms and Vessels' and with a Global Engine Manufacturer. During the Union Minister's visit to the Norway pavilion, an MoU was signed between India's Larsen & Toubro (L&T) group and Norway's DNV covering multiple areas of collaboration. It includes shipbuilding, Offshore & Maritime and Expanding Port Infrastructure, Energy Systems, Industrial Solutions and Smart Infrastructure, Sustainability, ESG and Risk Services, Software, cyber security, platforms and digital solutions. Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said, 'It is a privilege to join you here at the Norwegian Pavilion--an impressive showcase of maritime innovation, deep-rooted seafaring tradition, and forward-looking sustainability. Norway has long been a valued partner of India. Our enduring collaboration is built on shared values, mutual respect, and a common commitment to sustainable development.
