INTRODUCING SMART LIFT: AN INNOVATIVE NEW UNLINED BRA BY CACIQUE INTIMATES
65 Sizes. 4 Years in the Making. 2 Best-Loved Cacique Bra Frames. 1 New Game-Changing Bra
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Feb. 13, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Cacique Intimates, the leading large cup and large bust bra brand, has cracked the code on an unlined bra that lifts and shapes without sacrificing comfort. Say good-bye to bulky bra padding and say hello to your new favorite everyday bra: Smart Lift. The Smart Lift Bra and the Cacique Intimates assortment is exclusively shoppable at Lane Bryant.
In the past, full cup customers have shied away from unlined bras, fearing lack of support and containment. In order to ensure the Smart Lift unlined bra fit was flawless, Cacique's design team leveraged customers whose try-on feedback helped perfect the new bra style. Some even called the Smart Lift "magic" and a "can't-wait-to-put-it-on, everyday bra."
A light fabric that feels so silky coupled with a power mesh, flexible side wing, this bra isn't just genius – it's beyond comfortable too. The Smart Lift Bra's most innovative feature is the cup construction that intuitively lifts and supports breasts of all shapes, size, and even unevenness, all the way up to a K cup. Another exceptional feature? The fabrication of the Smart Lift Bra disappears under tops and dresses and doesn't cling, providing a smooth foundation under any Spring outfit.
"Cacique is an established expert in delivering unparallelled support for larger bust sizes without compromising comfort," said VP of Merchandising at Cacique, Heather Naughton. "When unlined bras started to become more of a trend, we knew we needed to dream up an innovative solution that would effortlessly support our fuller-cup customers' curves without traditional foam cups. The other bras in the market just don't cut it for our customer regarding all day support and comfort. Smart Lift gives her the lift she knows Cacique will deliver, in a gorgeous range of colors in our two well-loved bra frames. Trust our experts – slipping on a Smart Lift bra will undoubtedly be her smartest spring decision."
Cacique offers the new Smart Lift Bra in the brand's best-loved Balconette & Full Coverage frames. The Smart Lift bra is available in over 65 sizes, in band sizes 34-50 and cup sizes C-K.

Doo-Dah Diner owners sell as they face health challenge
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — One of Wichita's more popular restaurants is changing hands as the owners deal with health challenges. Founders Patrick and Timirie Shibley decided to sell the diner due to chef Patrick's stage 4 prostate cancer. The new owners will be long-time customers Jeff and Jay Miller and their partner, Pat Reilly. The transfer of ownership will happen on Monday, June 16, the day after the restaurant hosts a Father's Day Feast of Kings buffet on Sunday, June 15. On Saturday, June 14, there will be a 'Shibley Sendoff.' Customers are invited for a special buffet spread. Guests are encouraged to drop by for a hug and to share well-wishes along with their favorite Doo-Dah Diner memories with the Shibleys. Complete closure of I-135 in north Wichita The Shibleys opened Doo-Dah Diner in 2012. It quickly developed a strong following for its made-from-scratch breakfast and lunch dishes, its customer service, and its retro vibe. 'Doo-Dah Diner isn't just a restaurant – it is an extension of who we are,' Patrick said in a news release. 'Every dish is rooted in love, every detail mattered, and nothing made us happier than watching someone's eyes light up with the first bite. That joy – that connection – is why we worked so hard. Pleasing people wasn't a goal. It was the reason we opened the doors every morning for 12 years.' 'We packed a lifetime of memories into the 13 years we owned this treasure,' Timirie said. 'Our moms sat together in a booth and rolled silverware while telling stories. Our daughters literally grew up working in the restaurant. I even hired my ex-husband to help manage the front of house.' The future owners, Jeff and Jay Miller and their partner Pat Reilly, also own and operate the three Wichita-area Five Guys Burgers & Fries restaurants. 'We are deeply honored to continue Patrick and Timirie's vision for Doo-Dah Diner,' Jeff Miller said. 'The diner is a place that means so much to so many people, including us. We are committed to preserving the warmth, the flavor, and the atmosphere that everyone loves about Doo-Dah. We've been in the restaurant training under Patrick and Timirie for the past several weeks so that the ownership transition will be seamless.' The diner has also made news for all the celebrities who stop in when they visit town, including actors Harrison Ford and Henry Winkler, Long Island Medium Theresa Caputo, ESPN play-by-play broadcasters, and traveling artists with Music Theatre Wichita. 'This diner isn't just a restaurant – it's a gathering place, and we can't wait to continue that tradition,' Jay Miller said. The Shibleys plan to do some traveling and connect with loved ones as they 'De-Doo-Dah' their lives. They want to start a podcast for friends and fans to follow their post-diner adventures. Look for @doodahmom on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. Timirie will continue her DooDads permanent jewelry business that she and long-time diner employee Laura Shoemake have operated for nearly three years. Look for @doodadsict on social media. Hotel group challenges city's 'tourist tax'
A major hotel group is challenging a £2 "tourist tax" charge added to overnight stays for visitors to Liverpool. Whitbread, which owns Premier Inn, said the visitor levy which came into force on Sunday should be voided. The charge was voted for by members of the city's Accommodation Business Improvement District (ABID) in a ballot earlier this year. Of the 83 hotels in Liverpool who were asked, 59% (26) were in favour, on a turnout of 53%. The levy is mandatory for all hotels in the city above a certain rateable value, regardless of whether they took part in the ballot or whether they opposed the charge. According to the ABID, a £2 city charge per room per night could bring in over £9m pounds over two years, to support the visitor economy. However, the idea has had its critics. Whitbread chief executive Dominic Paul has said that hotels, restaurants and bars were being held back by higher labour costs and faced additional burdens from possible surcharges on overnight accommodation. Writing in The Times, he said the hospitality industry "finds itself on the receiving end of a series of government interventions which together will significantly hold back our ability to contribute to growth". The government has confirmed it had received a request from Whitbread for the ballot result to be voided. Liverpool City Council said it was confident the ballot was conducted according to legal requirements, but will look at the concerns raised by the challenge by the deadline of 24 June. A minister will consider the response in determining whether the ballot should be declared void. The government said hotels could continue to collect the cash from visitors, pending the outcome of the challenge, but visitors would be refunded if it is successful. The challenge comes as regional mayors, lead by Liverpool City Region's Steve Rotheram, have asked government to devolve powers to raise such taxes at local level, rather than via a BID ballot which is the only means available at the moment. Harry Doyle, Liverpool City Council's cabinet member for health, wellbeing and culture said Whitbread's challenge "reinforced the council's position and that of the mayors that visitor levies would benefit from a new national arrangement, established under the proposals for devolution." He added: "The case for a visitor levy has been made and is being advocated across the UK." The BBC has contacted Whitbread for comment.
