'Chucky' alum Jennifer Tilly joins 'School Spirits' Season 3
July 21 (UPI) -- Jennifer Tilly -- best known for playing Tiffany and a fictionalized version of herself in the Chucky film and TV franchise -- has joined the cast of School Spirits Season 3.
"Very excited about joining School Spirits for Season 3!" Tilly wrote on X Monday.
Deadline reported Tilly will play a character named Dr. Deborah Hunter-Price, but offered no details about who she is or how she might interact with the show's main characters.
The Paramount+ ghost story follows a group of students trying to rescue Maddie (Peyton List), a teen who seems to be caught between the worlds of the living and dead in their high school.
The cast includes Kristian Ventura, Milo Manheim, Spencer MacPherson, Kiara Pichardo, Sarah Yarkin, Nick Pugliese and Rainbow Wedell.
Season 2 wrapped up in March.

Is it too early to start thinking about Halloween? Not at home improvement giant Home Depot (HD), where the new Halloween collection is already rolling out. Granted, the air may have nowhere near a chill to it right now, but the slowly waning daylight is starting to get some people in the right frame of mind. Halloween starts August 4 at the Home Depot, with products available online or through the app. Actual storefront arrivals, though, will take a bit longer, reports suggest. There will be 'something for everyone,' notes decorative holiday merchant Aubrey Horowitz. And indeed, from big to small, Home Depot will have the fright fuel to make your front yard spooky for Halloween. Starting off, the Giant-Sized Skelly will be back. It's a 12-foot skeleton coming in for $299. Sitting Skelly's Dog and Skelly's Cat, both five feet tall, will be in play, and the seven-foot edition of Skelly's Dog will also make a comeback. Skelly is also getting a bit of an upgrade in the 6.5-foot Ultra Skelly. Animated, and app-controlled, it can offer several stock phrases or 30 seconds of custom recording to allow you to put your own spin on the proceedings. Home Depot has even joined forces with Universal (CMCSA) to bring out new licensed character props, including long-time fan favorites Chucky and Tiffany of Child's Play fame. The Home Depot Effect A new problem emerged recently for Home Depot, and it is connected to its status as ground zero for immigration enforcement. Reports in South Sacramento note that businesses surrounding the Home Depot are starting to see customer counts drop off after the recent border patrol operation hit the Home Depot parking lot. Some business owners suggested the problem was already starting even before the border patrol incidents started up. One even traced it back to the second arrival of President Trump in office. But even that business owner said that things were getting worse as a result of the raids. One business owner, a woman named Maria who runs Tortas Sinaloa, noted that '…everyone got scared, and everyone was in panic mode…' after the raids began. This will likely do few favors for the Home Depot brand. Is Home Depot a Good Long-Term Buy? Turning to Wall Street, analysts have a Strong Buy consensus rating on HD stock based on 18 Buys and six Holds assigned in the past three months, as indicated by the graphic below. Seth Meyers worries for the future of his late night show because of ever-changing TV ‘ecosystem'

Meyers, who has hosted 'Late Night' on NBC for over a decade, spoke on this week's episode of the 'Armchair Expert' podcast about dealing with the uncertainty that comes with hosting a program. 'There is this weird thing that I feel like I shifted from fearing that I wouldn't be good enough and now my fear is weirdly more outside of my control, which is (that) just at some point the ecosystem might not support it,' Meyers told hosts Dax Shepard and Monica Padman. 'I guess that's better than thinking it's your fault, but it is weird to not feel any control over it.' Meyers said his big takeaway from his experience on the late-night program is just to 'show up and do the work.' 'That's the only part they're paying you to do, that's the only part you're good at,' he said. Meyers acknowledged that while the TV business has evolved since his show debuted, he's grateful that 'at least I got in.' 'The world knows Seth Meyers in a way that I'm happy with. I've taken my opportunity to build a thing,' he said. 'I know what it means and I think other people know what it means. So I'm happy about that.' Meyers did not address the recent cancellation of 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' during the podcast, but it is not clear if the conversation was recorded prior to the news. CNN has reached out to a representative for Shepard for comment. In a Story posted to Instagram after Colbert's show was cancelled, Meyers called him a 'great' comedian and host and 'an even better person.' 'I'm going to miss having him on TV every night. but I'm excited he can no longer use the excuse that he's 'too busy to hang out' with me,' he wrote. Earlier this month, CBS announced the network was cancelling 'The Late Show' citing financial reasons but the move drew much criticism and speculation. Colbert has long been an outspoken critic of Trump and has been making jokes about CBS's motives for axing his show since it happened. The show's cancellation came weeks after CBS's parent company Paramount entered into a $16 million settlement agreement with President Donald Trump to resolve Trump's lawsuit against '60 Minutes.' And just last week, Skydance Media's $8 billion acquisition of Paramount received approval from federal regulators. On Tuesday, Trump denied that he was 'solely responsible for the firing' of Colbert, writing on Truth Social, 'The reason he was fired was a pure lack of TALENT, and the fact that this deficiency was costing CBS $50 Million Dollars a year in losses — And it was only going to get WORSE.' CNN has reached out to CBS for comment. 'The Late Show' has been on the air since 1993 when David Letterman served as host before Colbert took over in 2015, will end in the spring of 2026.
