Neighbours blast ‘disgusting' Andy Byron as ex-Astronomer CEO's wife hides out in $2.4 million mansion

Sky News AU6 days ago
Former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his wife Megan Kerrigan Byron's neighbors find his alleged infidelity 'disgusting' but believe the family deserves 'privacy' as they navigate overnight fame and heartbreak.
Those who live in the pair's Kennebunk, Maine, neighborhood told the Daily Mail Thursday — just over a week after Andy's alleged affair with an employee was exposed at a Coldplay concert — that 'everyone has seen' the viral 'kiss cam' video.
'The family do not want to talk about it,' one angry local explained before asking the outlet to leave the exclusive street next to the Webhannet Golf Club.
According to the Daily Mail, Megan fled the duo's $1.4 million home in Northborough, Mass., and has been hiding out at their $2.4 million Maine mansion while holding crisis talks about her marriage.
Multiple family members were seen going in and out of the four-bedroom, four-bathroom, 4,169-square-foot property over the weekend, including her older sister, Maura, per the outlet.
It's unclear whether Andy, 50, came to speak to Megan, also 50, following the incident.
Last Wednesday, while at the Coldplay concert in Boston, Andy and Kristin Cabot, a top HR executive at Astronomer, were caught canoodling on the big screen.
'Whoa, look at these two,' frontman Chris Martin exclaimed into the mic.
However, once the couple noticed they were on the jumbotron, Andy let out a 'f–king hell, it's me' and immediately ducked out of view, while Cabot, who acknowledged that 'this is awkward,' hid her face in embarrassment.
'Either they're having an affair, or they're just very shy,' the musician joked as the audience erupted in laughter.
A TikTok of the moment spread like wildfire online, prompting Megan to remove her married name from her Facebook page before deleting her account altogether.
Astronomer's Board of Directors then launched an investigation into the matter, which resulted in both Andy and Cabot — who is also married — being placed on leave.
Andy resigned over the weekend.

‘He can finally tell his story': Prince Harry's sworn enemy Paul Burrell set to pen another memoir about the royal family

Former royal butler Paul Burrell is gearing up to release a bombshell new book two and a half years after he was slammed in Prince Harry's best-selling memoir Spare. Mr Burrell served as Princess Diana's butler and confidante for a decade from 1987 until her death in August 1997, before becoming one of the UK's best known royal commentators. On Monday, it was confirmed his book The Royal Insider – with a picture of himself and Diana on the cover – is due out for release in September. According to the Daily Mail, the monarchy is bracing for more bad press as Mr Burrell vows to 'speak candidly about the tensions that simmered' during his time at the Palace. 'It is only in the wake of the Queen's passing Burrell feels he can finally tell his story in full,' Mr Burrell's publisher Sphere told the outlet. Reportedly, the book will include candid new details about the demise of Diana's marriage to King Charles, as well as the King's relationships with both of his sons. The new memoir will mark the third book by Mr Burrell detailing his life in the palace with Diana, Charles and Princes William and Harry. William and Harry were reportedly infuriated by the previous two books, and Mr Burrell emerged as something of a villain in Harry's own tell-all book. In his memoir, the Duke of Sussex makes specific references to Mr Burrell but refuses to name the former staffer and calls him only 'mummy's butler'. In one passage, Hary fumed that Mr Burrell 'made his blood boil'. 'Mummy's former butler had penned a tell-all which actually told nothing,' he wrote. 'It was merely one man's self-justifying, self-centring version of events. 'My mother once called this butler a dear friend, trusted him implicitly. We did too. Now this. 'He was milking her disappearance for money. It made my blood boil.' In January, Mr Burrell himself told that he had experienced Harry's 'petulant behaviour' firsthand after Vanity Fair wrote an expose about the Sussexes. 'I know from firsthand experience how difficult Harry can be,' he said. 'I know how petulant he can be and how spoiled he is, because I've experienced that myself. 'He's always lived in a bubble.'

Warning: These emojis could mean your partner is cheating according to a private investigator

The Coldplay kiss-cam scandal – which saw a married boss and his alleged mistress caught in an embrace on the big screen – has become a global talking point. But, while the story went viral, there may be a far less public and more discreet way to spot your partner is cheating. A top private investigator told Fabulous the secret code cheaters are using to hide affairs on their phones. While some go to extreme lengths to cover their tracks, others are using something far more subtle: emojis. According to Paul Jones from ARF Private Investigators, apps like WhatsApp and Snapchat have become a hotbed for hidden relationships, with secret codes, archived chats and sneaky symbols replacing the traditional love letter. People often think of cheating as something obvious such as flirty photos, late nights or secret calls. But Paul says many of the cases he works on start with something as small as a random emoji. Sneaky symbols He told The Sun: 'Over the past year we've seen an increase in people using everyday symbols as a way to communicate without getting caught. 'On the surface, it might look innocent, but there's usually a deeper meaning.' One of the most common signs? A flurry of harmless-looking messages with the croissant or padlock emojis. If these symbols are in your partner's most-used emojis – found by clicking the emoji icon on the keyboard when typing a message – it could be an indicator they are being used for an affair. These symbols may mean nothing to you, but to someone cheating, they are code for dinners, hook-ups, or secret messages. Paul added: 'We've had people using a croissant emoji as a way of saying 'meet me for breakfast', or the letter emoji as a subtle 'text me when you're free'. 'It's like their own language, one that their partner isn't meant to understand.' Here are just a few examples Paul has seen used in real cases: The private investigator added: 'Used once or twice they don't mean much. 'But when you see them appearing regularly in chats with the same person, especially late at night, they start to mean something more.' Warning signs So what phone habits should you look out for with your partner? Paul continued: 'Start with your gut. 'If your partner suddenly starts hiding their phone, keeping conversations short, or you notice new contacts with strange names or emojis, that's when you should start asking questions.' There are other ways to find out your partner is having an affair – Carla Bellucci had a decade-long affair with her now husband Gio, and she text Gio's ex evidence of their relationship. If you're at a crossroads in your relationship, or feel you need advice and support, The Sun 's Dear Deidre team of qualified counsellors are available. Read their advice for a woman who's fallen pregnant with a wealthy man's baby, who is struggling to come to terms with the fact he wants to take no responsibility for their baby. Four red flags your partner is cheating Private Investigator Aaron Bond from BondRees revealed four warning signs your partner might be cheating. They start to take their phone everywhere with them In close relationships, it's normal to know each other's passwords and use each other's phones, if their phone habits change then they may be hiding something. Aaron says: 'If your partner starts changing their passwords, starts taking their phone everywhere with them, even around the house or they become defensive when you ask to use their phone it could be a sign of them not being faithful.' 'You should also look at how they place their phone down when not in use. If they face the phone with the screen facing down, then they could be hiding something.' They start telling you less about their day When partners cheat they can start to avoid you, this could be down to them feeling guilty or because it makes it easier for them to lie to you. 'If you feel like your partner has suddenly begun to avoid you and they don't want to do things with you any more or they stop telling you about their day then this is another red flag.' 'Partners often avoid their spouses or tell them less about their day because cheating can be tough, remembering all of your lies is impossible and it's an easy way to get caught out,' says Aaron. Their libido changes Your partner's libido can change for a range of reasons so it may not be a sure sign of cheating but it can be a red flag according to Aaron. 'Cheaters often have less sex at home because they are cheating, but on occasions, they may also have more sex at home, this is because they feel guilty and use this increase in sex to hide their cheating,' Aaron said. 'You may also find that your partner will start to introduce new things into your sex life that weren't there before.' They become negative towards you Cheaters know that cheating is wrong and to them, it will feel good, this can cause tension and anxiety within themselves which they will need to justify. 'To get rid of the tension they feel inside they will try to convince themselves that you are the problem and they will become critical of you out of nowhere,' Aaron warns. 'Maybe you haven't walked the dog that day, put the dishes away or read a book to your children before bedtime. A small problem like this can now feel like a big deal and if you experience this your partner could be cheating.'

Inside Johnny Depp's secret new life in UK

Johnny Depp has reportedly ditched Hollywood for a quiet life in the UK after a tumultuous five years dominated by his legal battle with ex-wife Amber Heard. The Pirates of the Caribbean star is renting a secluded mansion in the Sussex countryside, near the border with Kent, according to the Daily Mail. The sprawling estate features ten bedrooms, a sunken garden, an open-air amphitheatre, water features and two staff cottages. The property, which dates back to the 1850s, is hidden behind towering trees, ornate gates, and Gothic statues. Depp is thought to have fallen in love with the area after visiting his late friend, guitarist Jeff Beck. 'Mr Depp knows this area well and he loves it here,' a local source told the Daily Mail. 'It's a beautiful home and very peaceful'. According to a showbiz insider, the Edward Scissorhands actor chose to reside in Sussex instead of the Cotswolds, a popular spot for Hollywood celebrities, suggesting his desire for 'peace and quiet'. 'Johnny's choice of a very quiet corner of Sussex rather than the goldfish bowl that the Cotswolds has become for big stars tells you all you need to know about his mindset: he wants peace and quiet,' an insider said. 'And he has no interest in being judged by the kind of people who walked away from him.' Depp took a step back from Hollywood amid his highly publicised defamation trial with ex-wife Amber Heard in 2022. The Ed Wood actor took his ex to court in Virginia over accusations she made in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed. The Aquaman actress claimed that Depp had been physically abusive to her during their relationship — allegations that he vehemently denied. The A-lister's career was almost destroyed after losing a UK libel case in 2020, labelling him a 'wife beater'. He then dropped from major roles, including Fantastic Beasts and Pirates of the Caribbean. The Dark Shadows star won all three counts against Heard. He was awarded $US15 million ($A22 million) in damages, which was later reduced to $US10.3 million ($A15.6 million), Page Six reported. Despite winning his defamation case, Depp's reputation was damaged. 'I was shunned, dumped, booted, deep-sixed, cancelled, however you want to define it,' Depp said in a recent interview. 'Would I rather have not gone through that? Of course. But I learned more than I ever dreamed I could.' Since then, the star has managed to keep busy in other ways. Earlier this month, Depp stepped out at The Curzon Mayfair in London for the red carpet premiere of 'Modi: Three Days on the Wing of Madness'. 'Modi', which stars Al Pacino and Riccardo Scamarcio, marks the first film Depp has directed since 1997's The Brave. After 'Modi', Depp is set to return to the big screen in a starring role for the new film 'Day Drinker' with Madelyn Cline and Penélope Cruz.
