When Is ‘A Minecraft Movie' Coming To Streaming On Max?
Warner Bros. Discovery announced in May that Jack Black and Jason Momoa's A Minecraft Movie would begin streaming on Max in June.
However, we're a week and a half into June and A Minecraft Movie still has no release date on the Max streaming service, which will renamed HBO Max this summer.
News broke on May 21 that A Minecraft Movie was part Max's new lineup of programming in June. The move was surprising given the expediency of the release coming to the streaming service, considering the film opened in theaters on April 4 and made its debut on digital streaming via premium video on demand on May 13.
In Warner Bros. Discovery's May announcement of A Minecraft Movie's debut on the service, the press release only said the movie was 'coming soon.'
A Minecraft Movie is still playing in 346 North American theaters. To date, the film has earned $423.6 million domestically and nearly $527.6 million internationally for a worldwide box office tally of $951.2 million against a $150 million budget, according to The Numbers.
A Minecraft Movie attracted unique attention early in the film's run thanks to the film's "Chicken Jockey" scene and the havoc that erupted during screenings.

With no new news from Warner Bros. Discovery about A Minecraft Movie about the release of the film on Max, the streaming tracker When to Stream is projecting a potential landing date for the film on the platform.
When to Stream, which is typically accurate with its PVOD and streaming service reports, previously forecasted June 20 arrival for A Minecraft Movie on Max since that is the only available date that the service doesn't have a big title scheduled for release. In recent reports, When to Stream is sticking with its projection.
The most recent mention of A Minecraft Movie's pending release on Max from Warner Bros. Discovery came in a Tuesday press release, where the title was mentioned among others that will be available to 12 new countries when the platform expands its global footprint in July.
Rated PG, A Minecraft Movie follows four misfits (Jason Momoa, Sebastian Hansen, Danielle Brooks and Emma Meyers) who are sucked into a portal in a mine that brings them to the Overworld, where anything the mind imagines can be built with blocks.
It's in the Overworld where the group encounters a smattering of block-shaped creatures and the human, Steve (Jack Black), who is being held by a nefarious, pig-like group known as the Piglins.
Directed by Jared Hess, A Minecraft Movie also stars Jennifer Coolidge and the voices of Hess, Rachel House, Jemaine Clement, Bret McKenzie and Matt Berry. A Minecraft Movie, of course, is based on the blockbuster Mojang Studios video game Minecraft.

Why book? This boutique hotel in the heart of the Design District, Miami's luxury retail hub, is built into the 100-year-old Moore building. It has excellent dining, access to a members-only club, and blue-chip art amidst high-style rooms. Set the scene Opened in 2024, this 13-room hotel is nestled inside the four-story landmark Moore building, which also houses a posh coworking space, private club, art gallery, and restaurant on the ground floor. Upon walking inside, you're immediately struck by the Zaha Hadid site-specific installation Elastika that spans the light-filled atrium connecting the different levels with stretches of web-like material. It's both cheeky and iconic. With all the different elements at play, the building now functions as a clubhouse for the city's creative set to gather over dinner or cocktails, attend cultural programming, take a meeting, or spend the night. Light-filled corridors surround the hotel's central atrium, and as you explores the different floors, a warren of beautifully designed spaces emerge: handsomely designed offices and 'Zoom booths' on the coworking floor, a cozy karaoke room, a speakeasy, cocktail lounges, private dining rooms (the one outfitted in pineapple decor was my favorite), and an indoor courtyard with soaring ceilings and terracotta tile floors. The crowd that circulates through the multiple floors varies from digital nomads and executives with flexible work commitments to artists and fashion lovers who work in the neighborhood's upscale boutiques. The backstory The 90,000-square-foot building dates back to the 1920s when architect and entrepreneur David P. Davis built the Art Deco jewel on a former pineapple plantation. Over the years, it served as a furniture showroom and event space, and in 2005, developer and Dacra founder Craig Robins transformed the building into a cultural hub by hosting the inaugural DesignMiami fair there, ushering in a new era for the neighborhood. WoodHouse, a hospitality company, is the developer and operator of the new hotel within the building. The rooms Sometimes, in high-concept properties, the finer details can get overlooked. That's not the case here. The residential-style rooms were conceived by Los Angeles firm Studio Collective in collaboration with iCrave and feature an inspired mix of custom furniture, art, and decorative elements by furniture brand Mous and Sossego, a sustainably-focused collection based out of Brazil. The minibar in my suite was stocked with full-sized bottles of liquor and a fancy Chemex pour-over coffee maker. My king-size bed was from Swedish brand Duxiana and delightfully plush with nice, crisp bedsheets, and the shower amenities were the divine-smelling Byredo Mojave Ghost, also Swedish. The rooms all feature oversized soaking tubs and bathrooms outfitted with porcelain slab walls and floors. You're not missing much by booking the cheapest room—the action is in the public areas—but if you feel like splurging, the suites include dining tables and seating areas with boucle-covered sofas. Food and drink The main spot here is Elastika, located on the ground floor of the atrium and named after the sculpture that hovers above the impressive dining room. The menu focuses on farm-sourced, modern American cuisine and includes dishes like heirloom tomato gazpacho with house-made focaccia and roasted local mahi with celery root puree and Champagne sauce. Guests of the hotel can also dine on the second-floor balcony restaurant that is part of the members' club. My lunch there included a delicious hen-of-the-woods mushroom pizza and spicy tuna crispy rice from the sushi bar. The neighborhood/area If you love art and luxury shopping, this location is an advantage. High-end retailers like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel are all within walking distance, as is the Institute of Contemporary Art. You'll also find a world-class collection of public art and murals scattered across the neighborhood. Wynwood and Downtown Miami are a quick cab ride away, and the beach, though a bit farther, is just over the causeway. For guests who want to stick their toes in the sand, the hotel has partnered with the W South Beach to offer access to beach chairs and service (although you're on your own for transportation to and from the coveted spot). The service The staff are warm, friendly, and helpful—from the front desk attendants to the folks who take care of members at the coworking space to the servers in the restaurants. For families The hotel caters mostly to an adult crowd and business travelers, but families with small children can book suites that offer separate sleeping quarters. Eco effort Both the restaurant and bars work with sustainable, local suppliers whenever possible. Accessibility There are elevators and ADA-compliant rooms available. Anything left to mention? A major perk of staying at the Moore is the chance to moonlight as a private club member during your stay, and gain access to wonderfully designed spaces like The Courtyard, a chic living room of sorts, featuring museum-quality art and two signature bars: The Banyan Bar, where bubbles and caviar await, and Miwa Sushi Bar, serving sake and Japanese-inspired dishes. There's also a game room, cigar room, photo booth, and The Chapter Room, filled with curated books and art. Weekly programming includes artist talks, musical performances, and fitness events. During city-wide events like Art Basel and Formula 1, the place is a hive of activity.

Strap in for a Thrilling Glimpse of Universal's High-Speed ‘Fast & Furious' Coaster
Giving a new name to family ride at Universal Studios Hollywood will be the theme park's first major thrill rollercoaster inspired by The Fast and the Furious franchise. Height requirements are pending, sorry kids! The West Coast's love for adrenaline-packed car races and theme parks combines in Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift—Universal's fastest 'drifting' coaster with a speed of 72 MPH. The ride is set to open sometime next year, and construction is well underway for it with the tracks hugging the hillside of the upper lot of Universal Studios Hollywood. Boasting a 360-degree rotation on each one of the ride vehicles, the coaster will turn the proverbial NOS up to get the cars to reach that 72 MPH on 4,100 feet of outdoor track with the real streets of LA from the films as the backdrop. The cinematic experience is meant to evoke the car culture that inspired the films, making you feel like a part of the crew led by Vin Diesel and co-starring Michelle Rodriguez, the late Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese, Ludacris, Sung Kang, John Cena, and more. Watch the video below that showcases the coaster vehicles replicating the Toretto family's signature driving moves throughout the blockbuster global heist films. The ride is set to replace the Studio Tour's representation of the hit franchise films, the now defunct attraction Fast & Furious Supercharged, which featured Dwyane Johnson and Luke Evans. The storyline for the coaster is firmly under wraps but to tide fans over they can check out one of the ride vehicles modeled after Dominic Toretto's 1970 Dodge Charger on display at Universal Studios Hollywood. 3 new Game Pass games to play this weekend (June 13-15)
If you're a superstitious person, Friday the 13th might be a bad sign for this weekend. While I can't say you won't encounter any bad luck, what I can promise is that you will have more than enough fun with all the new Game Pass games hitting the service. Last weekend's Xbox Games Showcase showed off too many upcoming Xbox Series X games to count, most of which will be day-one Game Pass games when they come out, but we still have a while to wait for games like Keeper and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. All that excitement may have overshadowed the latest batch of Game Pass games, including a fantastic day one sci-fi survival game like nothing else, a delightful co-op strategy game, and the biggest sports game just in time for the World Cup. The Alters Any sci-fi fan should pay close attention to The Alters, regardless of whether or not you typically like survival games. After crashing onto a mysterious planet, lone survivor Jan Dolski can only survive by creating alternate versions of himself based on different life paths he could've gone down had me made different choices. Between juggling the need to gather resources, expand your base, and overcome obstacles to move your base before the sun rises and cooks you with radiation, you will spend a ton of time interacting with your various Alters. This is where the game shines brightest. The moral and ethical dilemmas, plus the unique issues that arise from alternate versions of the same person trying to work together in a dire situation, are incredibly captivating and thought-provoking. Kingdom: Two Crowns Technically, Kingdom: Two Crowns is the third game in the overall Kingdom series, but you won't have any problems starting here. The first thing you will notice is the game's amazing pixel art, but there's a lot of depth behind this 2D game. You control a monarch who manages and builds up your kingdom under attack by a race of monsters called the Greed. You spend the day building up your defenses using gold before night falls and waves of enemies attack. You don't fight yourself, but simply place units, build walls, and outfit your kingdom to repel invaders, but you can travel out during the day to explore a procedurally generated world to hunt for extra loot. This is a great co-op game, especially since it supports local split-screen play. Kingdom: Two Crowns is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, Mobile, and PC. EA Sports FC 25 Xbox knows exactly what it's doing here, and I totally respect it. June 14 marks the beginning of the World Cup, so what better time to give us EA Sports FC 25 so we can play along with the real event? For those who didn't follow the news at the time, the EA Sports FC brand is the same team that made all the FIFA games in the past, but has ditched the license to make their own brand. While the name is different, the top-notch soccer simulation gameplay is exactly the same. New to this game is the new tactical system called FC IQ, Player Roles, and a 5v5 Rush Mode. Of course, there's always the career mode and slightly predatory Ultimate Team. EA Sports FC 25 is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC.
