2025 NBA draft lottery: Mavericks, Spurs and 76ers big winners
The Mavericks secure the top pick in the 2025 NBA draft lottery despite a 1.8% chance
The Chicago Bulls had a stroke of bad luck when fans learned that the Dallas Mavericks were winners of the 2025 NBA Draft Lottery.
The Bulls, like the Mavericks, were fairly competitive and made the play-in tournament this season. So losing out on the rights to the No. 1 overall pick and draft Cooper Flagg may not hurt quite as bad as it did for teams like the Jazz, Hornets, Wizards, and Pelicans.
The Wizards got it especially bad considering they so narrowly missed out on both Flagg this year and Victor Wembanyama two years ago. But what happened to the Bulls in the lottery is still particularly devastating.
More: 2025 NBA Draft lottery winners (Cooper Flagg! Mavs!) and losers (the lottery system)
The Bulls and Mavericks finished with the exact same record in the standings.
So before the lottery, the two franchises had a coin toss to see who would have the twelfth-best odds at No. 1 overall and who would have the eleventh.
Dallas won that tiebreaker last month and then went on to shockingly win the 2025 NBA Draft Lottery.
This, of course, is about as tough of a break as you can find in the league.
That means Chicago was effectively a coin flip away from having those exact same ping-pong numbers that eventually won the chance to draft Flagg.
What are the chances of that?
More: Bulls' Josh Giddey shocked the Lakers with an unbelievable half-court buzzer-beater
Chicago, however, would have never found themselves in this situation were it not for the buzzer-beater that Josh Giddey hit against the Lakers on March 27.
If the Bulls had won just one fewer game over the course of the season, in fact, they would have not tied with the Mavericks and would have just outright owned the ping-pong balls that eventually became No. 1 overall.
That is about as frustrating as it can possibly get for a franchise that continues to teeter between middling and slightly above or below. Flagg would have given them a chance to have a focal point and identity but instead, he will play elsewhere next season.

Luka Doncic on the criticism that he is slow
Luka Doncic on the criticism that he is slow Although Luka Doncic has been a phenomenal NBA player over the last several years, he has recently gotten a good deal of criticism. Much of it has centered around his subpar fitness and conditioning, as well as the fact that he is pudgy and has trouble staying in front of his man defensively. One reason for his defensive shortcomings is his lack of speed and quickness, which could be partly attributed to his lack of fitness. But overall, Doncic has never been a speed demon. He was a guest on the latest episode of the "Mind the Game" podcast, which is co-hosted by LeBron James and Steve Nash. Nash brought up the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are heading to the NBA Finals thanks to a young, deep and athletic cast, and he asked Doncic about his speed, or lack thereof. The superstar gave an interesting response. "I have speed, I just don't show it," Doncic answered. There have been videos of Doncic from the 2018-19 season, when he was a rookie, posted on social media lately, and he displayed more speed and quickness back then. Since he has apparently already slimmed down this offseason, the hope appears to be that improving his fitness and conditioning heading into next season will make him quicker on both ends of the floor. According to at least one report, Doncic has changed his mindset and actions as far as taking care of his body.

Timothée Chalamet, Kylie Jenner pack on the PDA during Knicks-Pacers Game 5
The post Timothée Chalamet, Kylie Jenner pack on the PDA during Knicks-Pacers Game 5 appeared first on ClutchPoints. Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner looked very much in love as the New York Knicks faced the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Knicks superfan and beauty mogul have been dating for around two years and were seen on celebrity row speaking closely and sharing a few kisses. Jenner previously attended Game 5 of the Knicks and Boston Celtics' Eastern Conference Semifinals alongside Chalamet. She had a memorable moment when she celebrated the Knicks' win with her best friend Jordyn Woods. The model is dating Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns. The Dune star and Jenner have also attended the US Open together and first caught the attention of fans at a Beyoncé concert back in 2023. The couple has attended the 2025 Oscars together and the 2025 BAFTAs but they made their red carpet debut earlier this month at the 70th David di Donatello ceremony. Jenner stepped out in a black gown with Chalamet in a black velvet blazer. In their recent formal appearances as a couple, the Khy founder has opted for black gowns which she said she wore to not necessarily draw too much attention. 'I think it just like happened that way,' the Kylie Cosmetics founder told Harper's Bazaar. 'Even, recently I was like, 'I can't wear another black dress.' And then of course the most perfect, gorgeous Schiaparelli black dress shows up,' she said. 'Although these are the most beautiful, iconic gowns that I've been wearing, I think a black dress is also kind of like, not too attention-grabbing in the best way. You can never go wrong with a black dress,' Jenner told the publication. Chalamet has been a Knicks fan since high school despite his recent fame on the sideline of the Knicks playoff series. In Game 4 of the series which the Knicks fell to the Pacers, 121-130, the actor did not look too happy with the referees calls. However, that was not the case tonight as the Knicks defeated the Pacers 111-94 in Game 5 at New York's Madison Square Garden to force a Game 6 in Indianapolis bringing the series to 3-2.

Kylie Jenner shares NSFW meme on how she and Timothée Chalamet celebrate Knicks win
The post Kylie Jenner shares NSFW meme on how she and Timothée Chalamet celebrate Knicks win appeared first on ClutchPoints. When the New York Knicks win, it's a good day in New York, but for Kylie Jenner and Timothèe Chalamet, it's an even better night. Jenner and Chalamet have been dating for nearly two years now, but the two have kept their relationship as private as possible. However, the beauty mogul gave fans a peek into their romance with an NSFW meme from the HBO classic, Sex and the City. 'And when did we start caring about basketball?' Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) asks in the clip that Jenner reposted on TikTok. 'Don is obsessed,' Samantha (Kim Cattrall) replies, referring to her boyfriend at the time. 'I don't get laid unless the Knicks win.' Jenner has accompanied Chalamet, a Knicks superfan, to two games during the NBA playoffs. During the Eastern Conference Semifinals, the Knicks faced the Boston Celtics. Jenner was on celebrity row alongside her sister, Kendall Jenner, for Game 4. She even had a viral moment with her friend, Jordyn Woods, who is dating Karl-Anthony Towns on the Knicks, when they celebrated the team winning courtside. The Knicks ended up winning that series 4-2. Now, the Knicks are playing the Indiana Pacers, where the Pacers are leading the series 3-2. Jenner was in Madison Square Garden for Game 5 with the Knicks winning 94-111. The two packed on the PDA as they watched the Knicks' back up against the wall and cementing themselves back into the series. Jenner has came to support Chalamet on several occasions throughout their relationship including being on his side for the BAFTAs, Oscars, Vanity Fair Oscar Party, and the Golden Globes. Despite making all of those appearances, they never walked the red carpet together until earlier this month when they attended the David Di Donatello Awards. The Khy founder opted for a plunged black gown and the Dune star wore a black velvet tuxedo jacket. Fans have been noticing Jenner's change for these large events and gave some insight about why she made that decision. 'I think a black dress is also kind of like, not too attention-grabbing in the best way,'the mom of two told Harper's Bazaar. 'You can never go wrong with a black dress.'
