Where does New York Giants' Andrew Thomas rank among NFL's top 32 tackles?
In 2022, former New York Giants first-round pick Andrew Thomas had a breakout season and became one of the NFL's premier left tackles and was named a second-team All-Pro.
As a result, Thomas was ranked at the top of the heap at his position. The Giants rewarded the former Georgia standout with a five-year, $117.5 million contract extension.
Thomas' high ranking was a distinction that did not last very long. In 2023, Thomas missed the first half of the season with a hamstring strain. Last year, the injury bug would strike again as Thomas was felled by the dreaded Lisfranc injury, ending his season after six games.
In Pro Football Focus' rankings of the top 32 offensive tackles ahead of the 2025 NFL season, Thomas came in at No. 15.
Thomas would likely rank significantly higher if he were able to stay healthy. However, the Georgia product has logged fewer than 1,000 combined snaps over the past two seasons. Thirty-two NFL offensive tackles played more than 1,000 snaps in 2024 alone.
After ranking third among offensive tackles with a 90.3 PFF overall grade in his last full season in 2022, Thomas has failed to break into the top 15 in each of his past two short seasons.
Thomas is currently being brought along slowly this offseason, per head coach Brian Daboll. In February, general manager Joe Schoen was optimistic about Thomas making a timely and successful return this summer.
"He looks phenomenal," Schoen said. "No boot on the foot or anything. He's moving well. He looks humongous right now. He's been in [the weight room]."
The Giants have also added veteran depth at tackle this offseason in James Hudson III and Stone Forsythe. Rookie Marcus Mbow can also be used at tackle.

Georgia Tech vs. Georgia Basketball Rivalry Set for 2025

Georgia Tech vs. Georgia Basketball Rivalry Set for 2025 originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Mark your calendars, Jacket Nation. Georgia Tech's basketball team will make the short but heated trip to Athens on Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, to face off against in-state rival Georgia in what will be the 201st edition of Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate on the hardwood, and it's happening earlier than usual, adding a fresh twist to one of college basketball's longest-standing rivalries. Advertisement The matchup, which returns to Stegeman Coliseum, is part of a massive sports weekend for Georgia fans, who will also host Texas in football the following day. But Tech fans are eyeing the Friday tipoff as an opportunity to reset the tone of the rivalry and stop the Bulldogs' recent surge. Georgia has taken the last two meetings, including a 77-69 win in Atlanta last year, and has won seven of the last nine contests. Despite that, Tech still holds the all-time series edge at 107-93, a history that adds weight to every possession when these two collide. But this year's game has more than tradition riding on it. For head coach Damon Stoudamire and the Yellow Jackets, Nov. 14 is more than a rivalry, it's a benchmark. After flashes of promise last season and an offseason focused on identity and development, this early test against an NCAA Tournament squad gives Georgia Tech a chance to make a national statement and spoil Georgia's momentum under Mike White, now entering his fourth season. Duke's Cooper Flagg (2) blocked by Georgia Tech forward Baye Ndongo (11).© Bob Donnan-Imagn Images White guided Georgia to a 20–13 finish and the school's first NCAA Tournament berth since 2015. Their non-conference slate includes Maryland Eastern Shore, Morehead State, Western Carolina, and West Georgia, solid but winnable games. But the real fire starts with the Jackets. Advertisement Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate is always personal, but with Georgia aiming for back-to-back March Madness runs and Tech hungry to reclaim bragging rights, expect an edge. Expect intensity. And expect Jacket fans to travel well and loud. From the first tip to the final whistle, this Nov. 14 showdown will be more than a game, it's a litmus test for Tech's toughness and a chance to change the script. So circle the date. Wear the gold. And remember: rivalries don't start at tipoff, they live in every practice, every film session, every fan's memory. This is the one you can't lose. Georgia Tech Lands Twin OL Commits in 2026 Recruiting Win

Georgia Tech Lands Twin OL Commits in 2026 Recruiting Win originally appeared on Athlon Sports. In a college football landscape where every commitment counts, Georgia Tech just doubled down in the trenches. The Yellow Jackets landed not one, but two towering offensive linemen over the weekend, and they're family. Advertisement Twin brothers Courtlin and Courtney Heard, both 3-star offensive tackle prospects in the 2026 class, committed to Georgia Tech following official visits that made a lasting impact. Their pledges mark the eighth and ninth commitments in Tech's 2026 cycle, continuing Brent Key's strategic push to rebuild the Jackets from the line out. 'Georgia Tech is the place where offensive linemen should want to go,' Courtney told Jackets Online after his visit. 'Especially with Coach Key being a former offensive lineman, and Coach Geep Wade coaching you up. That's something I want to be a part of.' Courtney, ranked as the No. 75 player in Georgia by Rivals, brings versatility and work ethic to the offensive front. His brother, Courtlin, also rated 3 stars isn't yet ranked nationally but is quickly gaining attention. Advertisement While most commits talk about football, these two are thinking bigger. Their decisions weren't just about gamedays at Bobby Dodd Stadium; they were about building futures. 'I chose GT because I trust the coaches with developing me,' said Courtlin. 'They have plans for me to succeed in life as a man and not just an athlete.' Both brothers emphasized Georgia Tech's commitment to life beyond football, a message that clearly resonated with the duo. For Brent Key, a former lineman himself, and offensive line coach Geep Wade, the Heards represent more than size and strength. They represent belief in a vision. With five offensive players already committed in the 2026 class, it's clear that Georgia Tech is prioritizing protection, development, and durability on offense. These twin commitments are a clear signal: Georgia Tech plans to dominate the trenches for years to come. Advertisement Courtney promises to bring 'versatility' and 'hard work,' while Courtlin describes himself as a 'competitor' who'll give his all to the program. At 6-foot-4 and still developing physically, the Heard brothers are long-term assets, exactly the kind of high-upside players that Brent Key loves to mold. This isn't just another recruiting headline. It's a statement of intent. The Yellow Jackets are investing in their foundation. With the Heard twins on board, the Flats are getting tougher, smarter, and more future-focused, exactly what Georgia Tech needs to rise in the ACC ranks. The future just got stronger, times two.
