
Motorbike rider dies after crash with ute in Queensland's Bundaberg region
A motorbike rider has tragically lost his life after a crash in Queensland's southeast.
The 50-year-old man from Bucca was riding his 2010 Harley-Davidson motorbike across the Burnett River Bridge, near Cedar Rd in South Bingera, when his bike collided with a 2019 Holden Colorado about 9.50am on Saturday.
The rider died at the scene.
The 55-year-old male driver and the 47-year-old female passenger of the ute, both from Blackwater, were not injured but were taken to Bundaberg Hospital as a precaution.
Forensic Crash Unit investigations are ongoing.

Teen killed in single-vehicle accident in Coolabunia, South Burnett, Queensland
Queensland's Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a 16-year-old girl was killed in a single-car accident on Tuesday evening. Emergency services were called to Lucas Road, Coolabunia, approximately two-and-a-half hours north-west of Brisbane, shortly before 7pm after reports a Daihatsu Applause had crashed into a tree. The teen driver and sole occupant was found dead at the scene.

Jackasses cop 60-plus charges for alleged car thefts in Jackass Flat and other parts of Victoria
Two alleged car thieves in regional Victoria have been charged with more than 60 offences between them, after they were allegedly involved in more than 20 incidents between April 29 and May 28, 2025. Victoria Police alleges the incidents occurred across multiple suburbs in the Bendigo region, including Castlemaine, Epsom, Flora Hill, Ironbark, Jackass Flat, Junortoun, Kangaroo Flat, Kennington, North Bendigo, and White Hills. Police executed four search warrants on May 28 at addresses in California Gully, Bendigo, North Bendigo and Kangaroo Flat, and allegedly seized 'multiple items of interest' including a stolen Subaru, a Holden Colorado, stolen credit cards, tools connected to alleged car thefts, and an imitation firearm. The investigation remains ongoing, though police detailed the pair's spate of offences. Other alleged offences included committing an indictable offence while on bail, contravening conditions of bail, and a prohibited person possessing a firearm.
