Depleted England clinical against the Pumas in La Plata
Argentina beat the Lions 28-24 in Dublin two weeks ago for the first time and left most of the team intact for its first test at home this year.
But Argentina's failure to score any points in a first half it dominated came back to bite it as England opened the new half by suddenly running the ball and scoring three tries in seven minutes.

Ola Aina signs new three-year Nottingham Forest contract
Ola Aina has committed his future to Nottingham Forest by signing a new three-year contract until 2028. The Athletic reported in November that Forest were in advanced talks with Aina over a new deal, with his contract set to expire next summer after a one-year extension clause was activated when the club were confirmed to have avoided relegation last season. Advertisement Aina joined Forest in July 2023 on a one-year deal after his contract expired at Serie A side Torino. He featured regularly at left-back in his first campaign as Forest escaped relegation to finish 17th in the league. Forest activated the option to extend Aina's contract by an additional year in May 2024 and the Nigeria international has continued to be a valuable part of Nuno Espirito Santo's defence, this time on the right flank. Aina made 37 appearances in all competitions in the 2024-25 season as Forest finished seventh in the Premier League and reached the FA Cup semi-finals. The 28-year-old has made 59 appearances for Forest in total, scoring three times and providing two assists. Forest also signed Chris Wood to a new deal during the 2024-25 season and extended centre-back Murillo's contract until 2029. Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo also signed a new contract in June, extending his stay with the club until 2028. Aina came through Chelsea's academy and went on to make six appearances for the first team. He spent the 2017-18 campaign on loan at Championship side Hull City before being loaned to Torino for the following season. The Italian team took up their option to sign him permanently in June 2019 and he went on to make 113 appearances for the club in all competitions. He returned to west London for the 2020-21 season, spending the campaign on loan at Fulham. Despite appearing for England at various youth levels, the London-born Aina was called up to the Nigeria senior team for the first time in 2017 and has won 40 caps for the side. ()

Manchester United consider free agent after Gyokeres blow
Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for free agent Dominic Calvert-Lewin, with the club set to miss out on the signing of Viktor Gyokeres. Ruben Amorim had been interested in a potential deal to sign Gyokeres from former club Sporting Lisbon, but the Swedish striker is nearing a move to Arsenal. Advertisement Any deal for the 27-year-old would have been dependent on sales and United are now understood to be considering cut-price reinforcements. United have already signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves and are pushing for Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo, potentially taking their transfer spend past £130m this summer. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is now a name on the club's radar, according to talkSPORT, as Amorim looks to improve his options at centre-forward. The 28-year-old is available on a free transfer after leaving Everton and would offer an experienced alternative to Rasmus Hojlund at number nine. Calvert-Lewin called time on his career with Everton last month after nine seasons on Merseyside. Advertisement He scored 71 times in 273 games for the Toffees but has been impacted by persistent injuries in recent campaigns. Last season, the 11-cap England international netted just three times in the Premier League. Why are Manchester United considering Calvert-Lewin deal? Amorim is keen to improve the physical level of his team and Calvert-Lewin's aerial ability could appeal. He ranked in the top 8% of forwards in Europe for aerial duels won per game last season (4.7) and in the top 18% for percentage of aerial duels won. Though he vastly underperformed in terms of xG conversion rate, Calvert-Lewin significantly outperformed Hojlund in terms of non-penalty xG, expected assists, and offensive duels won. Advertisement West Ham, Newcastle and Leeds have also been credited with interest in the forward. Ben Stokes says ‘there probably will be a decision to make' with third Test team
Jofra Archer and Gus Atkinson could be asked to breathe new life into England's bowling against India after Ben Stokes admitted his attack failed to 'blast them open' at Edgbaston. Within an hour of India levelling the series 1-1 with a thumping 336-run win in the second Rothesay Test, England added Surrey quick Atkinson to their squad for next week's clash at Lord's. Advertisement He is fit again after injuring his hamstring against Zimbabwe in May and could line up for the first time with Archer, who has been training with the team in Birmingham and is primed for a first Test appearance in more than four years. Brydon Carse and Josh Tongue are the likeliest players to stand down after sharing a big workload in the first two games against India. Stokes may also be hoping changes help unsettle opponents who have racked up 1,849 runs in four innings and celebrated seven centuries along the way. Having sent India in on the first morning in Birmingham he saw them go from 211 for five to 587 all out, to claim a commanding position they never relinquished. Advertisement 'At 200 for five we were happy but we just weren't able to blast them open,' he said after his side were dismissed for 271 on the final day. 'They ended up getting a big first innings total after us having a good start. I think if we'd been able to burst them open when we did have them five down then the game would potentially have played out a little bit differently. 'It's no secret that we have spent some time in the field and bowled some overs in the first two games so we'll have to see how everyone pulls up over the next two days. With it being a quick turnaround there probably will be a decision we have to make.' Whoever is chosen at headquarters, one of the main tasks will be finding a weakness in the armoury of new India captain Shubman Gill. He has now scored 585 runs in the series at an average of 146.25 and is in with a shout of Sir Don Bradman's magic number of 974 – the most runs ever scored by one batter in a series. Advertisement 'He's had some two games, hasn't he?' Stokes acknowledged with a wry smile. 'You've got got to give your opposition credit when it's due and for him to bang out as many runs as he has done in this game has been pretty special.' England are set for two days off before reconvening on Wednesday, training once at Lord's before resuming hostilities, and Stokes is content they will do so with a clean slate. 'We've had some unbelievable wins and some bad defeats and I feel this team is quite good at staying level throughout those ups and downs,' he said. India's Shubman Gill (left) shakes hands with England's Ben Stokes (Martin Rickett/PA) 'We knew coming into the series it wasn't going to be easy, that there were going to be ebbs and flows because it's two very good teams. We have to wipe this one under the carpet as quickly as we can because Lord's day one will be coming round pretty quickly.' Advertisement Gill is looking forward to it after enjoying his first success as India skipper, adding: 'There's no bigger honour than to captain your country in a Test match at Lord's. 'I am definitely feeling comfortable with my game and if we are able to win the series with my contributions, that will be great.'
