NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Jr. took to social platform X to voice his approval with Kendrick Lamar's Buick that was the centerpiece of the rappers Super Bowl halftime show. Many gearheads thought the sinister-looking Grand National put on the best performance in the middle of the Philadelphia Eagles pummeling the Kansas City Chiefs.More specifically, Junior responded to a post from sports journalist Ryan McGee who also praised Lamar's choice in vehicles for the show. 'I don't care if you like Kendrick Lamar's music or not,' he posted. 'Any man who makes a Buick Grand National the centerpiece of the #SuperBowl halftime show is a superhero. #GNX.'
In reply to that praising of the rapper's car, Earnhardt said, 'I told Amy 'that's my dream car.''

Likely, Junior just like many other people, believed the Buick he saw on the screen was a GNX. While it's true Lamar owns a GNX, which he showed off with glee last summer, what we saw used as a quasi clown car at the beginning of the halftime show was a regular Grand National modified to look a lot like a GNX.
In other words, Earnhardt really wants a GNX. With all the money and fame he has at his disposal, we're pretty sure the man could buy one. So why hasn't he if that's his dream car?
We don't have any answers, but we do know a lot of people fantasize about owning one of the only 547 Buick GNX cars made for the 1987 model year. They were wickedly fast for their time, roasting exotic cars like Ferraris on the drag strip, becoming a blue collar hero.
But now, the 80s muscle cars fetch six-figure prices, making them anything but a common man's car. Even someone as rich and famous as Lamar isn't going to use theirs in a show like that, especially as he stands on the hood – that would be insane.

‘It's So Hideous': Eagles Star A.J. Brown Refused to Commit to Georgia Over Socks

The University of Georgia might want to rethink its uniform after A.J. Brown's latest revelation. The Philadelphia Eagles superstar revealed on the 'Pardon My Take' podcast that he didn't commit to the Bulldogs because of one deal-breaker: black socks. Yes, you read that right — black socks. 'I didn't choose Georgia because I don't like wearing black socks. And that maybe crazy but I hate wearing black socks,' Brown said, adding, 'Putting on black socks with black cleats, it's so hideous.' While some might roll their eyes, an athlete's fit matters. Players want to look good on the field — otherwise it becomes an unnecessary distraction. Brown chose Ole Miss instead, where he posted 2,984 receiving yards on 189 catches with 19 touchdowns over three seasons, all while sporting white socks. 'Because when I put on white, I feel so fast, so smooth. There's something about it,' said Brown. His white-sock preference has served him well in the NFL, where he's earned four second-team All-Pro selections with Tennessee and Philadelphia. He also captured his first Super Bowl championship with the Eagles last season. Kaden Honeycutt To Replace An Injured Stewart Friesen

Top Nascar prospect Kaden Honeycutt is switching teams after being released from his duties at Niece Motorsports. Honeycutt, who has been contending for wins throughout the 2025 Nascar Craftsman Truck Series season, parted ways with the team he's been competing for since parts of 2023. Honeycutt will replace Stewart Friesen in the Halmar Friesen Racing No. 52 truck, which has already qualified for the playoffs via Friesen's Michigan win. However, Friesen was severely injured in an accident during the Super DIRTcar Series race at Canada's Autodrome Drummond last weekend. He will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing numerous surgeries in New York. 'While I continue to recover, it was important for us to put someone in our truck that can help us compete at the highest level,' Friesen said. 'I know Kaden will deliver strong performance in our truck and allow us to continue to run for the owner's championship.' Friesen, a well-known dirt track racer, has been competing in the Truck Series full time since 2017. Honeycutt will not race for the team this weekend at Watkins Glen International, as Cup Series driver and 2017 Truck Series champion Christopher Bell will take the helm. 'It's an honor to be able to fill in for Stewart for the rest of the season and help give his team a chance at the owner's championship, which they earned. I'm excited to compete in contending, race-winning equipment as I pursue a title this season,' Honeycutt said. 'We are going to work hard to have a solid final eight races of the season and continue to deliver great results for Stewart, his family and this organization.' The move is a major one for Honeycutt, who goes from the Chevrolet development program to the crowded Toyota pipeline. It is likely he will continue to compete in the Truck Series next year, with rumors he will join Tricon Garage. Honeycutt is currently eighth on the playoff grid and will need a waiver if he qualifies for the postseason.

Saquon Barkley reveals whether there's lingering beef with Giants after viral ‘Hard Knocks' clip ‘saved' him

Saquon Barkley might be the only one who is happy about the Giants' 'Hard Knocks' appearance last year. The Eagles' superstar running back, who rushed for 2,005 yards in his first season with the Eagles while winning a Super Bowl after leaving the Giants, went on the 'Pardon My Take' podcast this week and was asked whether he hates the Giants. 'It's funny because you would think from social media that there's this big beef with me, (general manager) Joe Schoen, the Giants,' Barkley said to Barstool Sports' Dan Katz. 'In reality, I still talk to them here and there. I got to see all of them before the game last year to end the season where I didn't end up playing. … They were super happy for me for rushing for 2,000 yards the week prior. It's a business. The NFL is a weird business, obviously. I'm not a fan of that side of it when it comes to the money side. But those guys were a big reason why I was able to get back.' 4 Saquon Barkley talks to Barstool Sports' Dan Katz. YouTubbe NYPost Sports Barkley's season in Philadelphia was so special that he received MVP votes, and he believes the 'Hard Knocks' clip showing what went into his exit allowed fans to view him differently. The former Penn State star received plenty of vitriol from fans after leaving Big Blue for their heated rival. 'I'm kind of happy, though, it saved me,' Barkley said. 'Because people thought that I just [left], you know what I mean? You have fans that are just blinded by it, and they just say, 'Oh, he just left.' But, you got to see that, yes, we had a negotiation process the year before, but that year they gave me the opportunity to hit the open market, which was the right thing to do by the Giants. A lot of people don't talk about that.' 4 Joe Schoen wound up letting Saquon Barkley go to Philadelphia. Getty Images 4 John Mara did not want to let Saquon Barkley walk. Hard Knocks Giants owner John Mara said in the show he would 'have a tough time sleeping if Saquon goes to Philadelphia,' which ultimately came to fruition. And to add salt to the wound, Barkley produced one of the best seasons by a running back ever. Barkley added that he's happy as ever to be in Philadelphia, where he just got a raise and contract extension less than a year after signing with the team. 4 Joe Schoen discusses Barkley's departure on a viral Hard Knocks clip. Hard Knocks 'So, for Joe Schoen and all those guys to be like, 'The right thing to do by him is to let him test the market,' and I gave them the opportunity to match it. Obviously, they felt that I wasn't worth what they thought that number was,' Barkley continued. 'And it's the best thing to ever happen to me. I'm in Philly, I'm with Howie [Roseman], I'm with (security guard) Big Dom (DiSandro) and all these guys. I got the best offensive line in football, we just came off a Super Bowl win, and things are continuing to go great.' The Eagles open the 2025 NFL season Sept. 4 against the Cowboys on 'Thursday Night Football,' and may face a Dallas team that is without Micah Parsons amid a contract disputre.
