The latest report by Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport states that Roma may soon begin their pursuit of Flamengo fullback Wesley.
The 21-year-old is a long-time favorite of Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

According to Di Marzio, Gasperini has asked Roma to monitor Wesley whom he already wanted at Atalanta.
However, the issue of the sporting director remains to be resolved: after the separation with Ghisolfi, the possibility for Massara remains open, but also for the promotion of Federico Balzaretti.
Once the next Giallorossi sporting director has been selected, Roma could get serious about Wesley.
