Coldplay's jumbotron captures – what exactly? The internet has its theories
Advertisement
At a concert at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts on Wednesday, a man wearing a birthday sash was up first. Two people in banana costumes were highlighted.
But in between, something else ensued. For several seconds, a couple was shown on the big screen. They were cuddling and smiling, his arms wrapped around her, as she leaned back into him.
When they saw themselves on the big screen, her jaw dropped, her hands flew to her face and she spun away from the camera. He ducked out of the frame, as did she.
'Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy,' Martin joked.

But it didn't end there. The video went viral, and the internet got to work.

Michael Jackson's dirty sock sells for more than US$8,000 at auction in France
A single glittery sock that late pop superstar Michael Jackson wore during a concert in France in the 1990s sold for more than US$8,000 on Wednesday, a French auctioneer said. A technician found the used sock discarded near Jackson's dressing room after the concert in the southern city of Nimes in July 1997, auctioneer Aurore Illy told Agence France-Presse. The self-styled 'King of Pop' wore white athletic socks adorned with diamantes during his HIStory World Tour in 1997, according to specialist website Jackson can be seen wearing them in clips of him performing his hit 'Billie Jean'. Decades later, the off-white item of clothing is covered in stains, and the diamantes adorning it have yellowed with age, in a picture posted on the website. 'It really is an exceptional object – even a cult one for Michael Jackson fans,' Illy said.

The Naked Gun movie review: Liam Neeson plays bumbling cop in hilarious comedy reboot
3.5/5 stars It has been more than three decades since Leslie Nielsen's bumbling police detective last cracked a case, but now The Naked Gun returns, with Liam Neeson assuming the role of Lieutenant Frank Drebin Jr in a belated sequel every bit as childish, ridiculous and laugh-out-loud funny as its predecessors. The film is produced by Seth MacFarlane, creator of Family Guy and Ted, and directed by Akiva Schaffer, who is one-third of the comedy troupe The Lonely Island. It also stars Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser and Danny Huston, who all help unleash an unstoppable barrage of puns, sight gags and ludicrous set-ups. Frank (Neeson) has followed in his father's footsteps and joined the LAPD's Police Squad. When a mysterious electronic 'P.L.O.T. Device' is stolen, all clues point to scheming tech billionaire Richard Cane (Huston). Play Frank is also approached by sultry femme fatale Beth Davenport (Anderson), who believes that her brother's mysterious death is linked to Cane's plans, and sparks soon fly between them. The original Naked Gun, released in 1988, was created by David Zucker, Jim Abrahams and Jerry Zucker (or 'ZAZ' as they are known) and was born out of the short-lived Police Squad television show that was taken off air after four episodes.
