A senior dog taken back to the shelter by his family was left confused about what had happened to his previous life, shattering the internet's heart.
The 12-year-old Labrador mix, Hugo, was brought to the London Animal Care Centre on April 16 by his previous family. His entire world turned upside down. The animal shelter, known on Instagram as @londonanimalcare, shared in Tuesday's video how Hugo now spends most of his days—sleeping on his tiny cot with his head down and his eyes filled with confusion.
After 12 years of living with his family, he was left alone in a kennel, "wondering where he went wrong." He went from going on adventures and having warm snuggles with his family to adjusting to a loud and chaotic shelter environment.
The recent video explained that Hugo, luckily, settled into his new life at the shelter "in no time." The senior dog thrives on routine and loves to patrol the yard, keeping it safe from squirrels, but he can also be found napping in his bed.
Despite his age and prominent gray hairs on his snoot, the shelter called him a "young-at-heart kind of guy" on the website. He still shows off his energy, as he loves running around. He enjoys making noise with his barks and will sometimes pull on the leash if he spots something, but with extra training, the shelter believes he'll be a walking expert in no time.

The shelter is hopeful that the right family, preferably in a home with no kids or pets, will adopt him so he can spend his golden years surrounded by love.
Instagram users flooded the comment section with their disappointment over the family abandoning him. The clip amassed over 12,100 views and 547 likes as of Thursday.
"This is just heartbreaking. People pray for more time with their fur babies, they don't drop them off at the shelter when it's time that they need us.. the owners should be ashamed. I hope he finds his family soon," wrote one viewer.
Another asked: "How could someone abandon this sweet soul in his golden years?!?"
A third person said: "Just look at that sweet little face!!"

Josh Duhamel, 52, reveals ‘taboo' method he uses to ‘stay youthful and virile for as long as I can'

Josh Duhamel is turning back the clock — with a little help from modern medicine. The 'Transformers' star, 52, says he's got the same energy he had in his twenties, but admits he's kept quiet about what's really been powering his second wind. Now, with the launch of his new wellness brand, Duhamel is finally coming clean about the 'taboo' therapy he's relied on for the past five years to stay strong, sharp and camera-ready. Advertisement 5 Josh Duhamel is going public with his longevity regimen. Getty Images for Hearst Magazines Duhamel first noticed something was off a few years ago — his energy was dipping, and the high-octane lifestyle he was used to suddenly felt like a grind. 'I took an inventory, a personal inventory, of how I was feeling, and I knew that I wasn't quite where I was five, 10 years before,' he said Thursday at a Men's Health Lab event in New York. Eager for answers, Duhamel got some blood work done. The culprit was clear: low testosterone. Advertisement While some men maintain steady levels throughout life, most men start to see a gradual decline in their testosterone around age 40, according to Harvard Health. It's not the hormonal freefall women face during menopause. Instead, the drop is slow — about 1% a year — but by age 70, the average man is running 30% lower than his peak. That drop can bring a long list of changes, including decreased muscle mass and strength, hair loss, weight gain, low libido, fatigue and mood swings. Sherry Young – 'It was one of those things that I didn't want to talk about,' Duhamel said. 'Neither did anybody I was asking about it.' Advertisement Still, he decided to give it a shot. 'I started taking testosterone injections and began to feel really good,' Duhamel told Forbes in a recent interview, adding that he also began using hair growth treatments and longevity medicine. 'I had the urge to get back out and do the things I didn't have the desire to do anymore,' he added, noting that he experienced little to no side effects. TRT, a form of hormone therapy using anabolic steroids, can be administered through injections, oral meds, gels, or patches. Its popularity is rising fast in the US, with prescriptions jumping from 7.3 million in 2019 to over 11 million in 2023, according to CBS News. Over time, Duhamel's motivation shifted from looking youthful to simply keeping up. 5 Duhamel has two sons, ages 11 years and 15 months. audramari/Instagram 'I didn't have my first kid until I was 40 years old, and then it was 52; I just had another one,' the actor said. 'Overall, I want to stay as youthful and virile as I can for as long as I can.' Even with such positive results, Duhamel kept his TRT use under wraps. Advertisement 'Guys were asking me what I was doing and I didn't want to talk about it,' Duhamel said on a recent episode of The Ed Mylett Show. 'I just told them I was eating really well and working out but the truth is I was doing TRT,' adding that it still remains a 'taboo thing.' That fear nearly stopped him from going public — and from launching his new brand. 5 Josh Duhamel launched his new wellness brand, Gatlan, in April. GC Images 'At first, my representatives were like, 'No, you're not going to be the face of a testosterone company! That's not something you talk about!'' he recalled. 'And I was like, 'Maybe it is!'' Advertisement Gatlan, Duhamel's new venture, focuses on treatments to help men with hormone optimization, weight loss, and hair thinning. 'We want to destigmatize something that men have been doing for years, and shine a light on it, and make it not so taboo,' he told Forbes. 'You can look and feel better for much longer. Why not take advantage of modern medicine?' Duhamel credits this regimen with helping him juggle fatherhood alongside demanding roles — including his latest as rancher Staten Kirkland in 'Ransom Canyon,' a gritty Netflix drama about a man fighting to protect his family's legacy. Advertisement After five years on TRT, Duhamel said the impact is clear when he takes a break. 'It's less energy, a little harder to keep muscle on, and a little harder to keep the fat off,' he said at the Men's Health Lab event. 'You definitely can feel the difference.'

Heidi Klum shared a selfie video on Instagram of herself dancing as she watered the plants in her garden in a nude-colored string bikini. Klum's video is part of her campaign for Calzedonia. She has shared a number of shots of herself in Calzedonia bikinis in recent weeks along with an image of herself in nothing but Calzedonia Klum has been doing some rather unorthodox gardening this week. CNN correspondent in tears as she reveals MTV VJ Ananda Lewis' final text before her death

A friend of Ananda Lewis has opened up about the final text message she received from the former MTV video jockey. On Wednesday, Lewis's sister posted on Facebook that her sister died, writing, 'She's free, and in His heavenly arms. Lord, rest her soul.' The announcement came after Lewis revealed in October 2024 that her breast cancer had spread and progressed to stage 4. CNN correspondent Stephanie Elam joined Sara Sidner on the channel on Thursday to discuss their last interactions with Lewis. 'One thing I want everyone to know is that she was at peace with this decision,' Elam, 51, said about Lewis and her decision to refuse receiving a double-mastectomy. 'She had come to grips with it.' 'We thought we had weeks and it turned out that it turned into days and it turned out it was just a matter of hours. It happened very quickly how things changed.' Elam then proceeded to read Lewis's final text message to her. 'She texted me and said things had taken a different turn than she would have liked,' the CNN correspondent said. 'This is part of the text she sent me: 'You know my feelings on this. We all go. These bodies are on loan and must be returned. We come in love and choose to leave it with love as well.'' She added: 'And then she goes on to say, 'I love you my wonderful lifelong bestie of besties.'' Lewis had first revealed that she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2020. In her Instagram post, Lewis encouraged women to receive annual mammograms because she had avoided them due to a fear of radiation exposure. Speaking with Elam and Sidner during a CNN round-table discussion in October 2024, she revealed her cancer had spread and progressed to stage 4. At the time, the former VJ also revealed why she decided to keep her tumor instead of undergoing a double mastectomy, which her doctors recommended. 'My plan at first was to get out excessive toxins in my body. I felt like my body is intelligent, I know that to be true. Our bodies are brilliantly made,' she told Elam and Sidner. 'I decided to keep my tumor and try to work it out of my body a different way. Looking back on that, I go, 'You know what? Maybe I should have.'' According to the CNN segment, Lewis's methods of treating her breast cancer included medication, radiation, and improving her sleep and diet. On Thursday's segment, Elam reflected on her friend's holistic approach to treating her cancer, saying, 'I love my girl, but she was hard-headed.' 'She wanted to do it her own way despite the fact that so many of us close to her wanted her to try the way that [Sara Sidner] did it. But this is what she wanted to do and she was totally at peace with it.'
