Minehead, Somerset
The South West Coast Path kicks off in Minehead so Minehead Beach was always likely to appear in the film.
Sometimes known as The Strand, the sandy beach ends at Minehead Harbour and is an ideal sandcastle-building spot.
The beach is located very close to Exmoor National Park, so holidaymakers can combine their seaside break with a stop in local woodland.

Clovelly, Devon

Another breathtaking spot along the South West Coast Path, Port Quin is a pretty cove between Port Isaac and Polzeath.
Once a busy fishing port, Port Quin is now a much quieter spot along the walking route.
The National Trust reveals: 'Port Quin is a peaceful sheltered inlet.

It's a popular spot with people who want to explore sea caves.

Princess Anne hosts over 100 charities at Buckingham Palace to mark upcoming 75th birthday

She is known for being one of the hardest-working members of the royal family. So when it came to marking her 75th birthday year, Princess Anne had only one request - to host as many charities as possible for a special gathering at Buckingham Palace. With 400 patronages to her name, the royal residence was packed for the 'charities forum'. 'This personifies what Her Royal Highness cares about,' a palace source said. 'She didn't want to do anything for her birthday but bring her charities together to hear more about their work and how she can help them.' The princess, wearing a sand coloured skirt suit, arrived at today's event after Colonel John Boyd, her Private Secretary, welcomed guests to the Palace's ballroom, telling them: 'There has been a significant amount of interest in HRH's 75th birthday celebrations. 'As you are aware the princess has given decades of time and support to more than 400 charities and patronages. 'It probably won't come as a surprise, given HRH's commitment to you all, that the way the Princess wants to celebrate this milestone is to replicate what she's done on previous significant birthdays and hold this charities forum again to once again understand how she can help you, at a time when the third sector is facing unprecedented challenges and transformations.' In her own speech to more than 216 guests from 111 different organisations, Anne was typically self-effacing, telling them hilariously: 'I'm not here because this was my choice. 'You very kindly asked me to become patron of your organisations, so it's an honour for me to have all of you here.' She also spoke about 'the pleasure I get from visiting and finding out a bit more about what you do.' The Princess took to the podium after hearing from three charity leaders: Sarah Woolnough, Chief Executive of The King's Fund spoke about public trust in charities; David Holdsworth, CEO of the Charity Commission spoke about the financial challenges faced by charities; Zoe Amar, founder and director of Zoe Amar Digital spoke about the opportunities and challenges raised by technology. Their presentations were followed by a Q&A session led by Professor Lynne Berry, Chair, Human Tissue Authority, who addressed the Princess by saying: 'Your leadership... and encouragement to a group of charities that range in size, in location, in purpose, is quite extraordinary.' Among the charities invited were two of her most longstanding patronages, Save the Children, which she became patron of in 1970, and Riding for the Disabled, of which she became patron in 1971. Some of her newest charities were also represented, including Friends of the Elderly and Royal Star and Garter Homes - both formerly patronages of Queen Elizabeth II - and the Naval Children's Charity, formerly a patronage of the Duke of York. In her address, the Princess also told guests: 'I would just like to make the point that we're very fortunate that His Majesty has allowed us to use Buckingham Palace for this event… And I need to say that!' She concluded by saying: 'The responsibility and respect that you give to your own organisations, the people who work for you and your own beneficiaries, is perhaps the key to what makes you so important. Respect and responsibility. Thank you very much for doing what you do.' The Princess Royal beamed on Thursday as she chatted with members from the charities she supports The Princess, who will turn 75 on August 15, is not expected to mark her milestone publicly in any other way. After today's event in the ballroom, she spent around an hour chatting to guests at an afternoon tea reception in the Picture Gallery, where they were entertained by musicians from the Scottish Fiddle Orchestra, one of Anne's patronages. This comes as Princess Anne became the first royal to visit to the peninsula of Little Sark as the Channel Islands celebrated Liberation Day last month. She was joined by her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence for the day - 80 years since the archipelago was freed from Nazi occupation in World War Two. Anne travelled by horse and carriage to La Coupee, a narrow walkway that connects the main island of Sark to the peninsula of Little Sark. She became the very first member of the Royal Family to visit the area. She had the opportunity to speak to islanders who had been liberated from German occupation, and enjoyed a street party with Chelsea Pensioners and Gurkhas. Christopher Beaumont, the Seigneur of Sark, said he was sure Anne would be 'blown away by the beauty of the island'.

Furious ITVX viewers slam channel as service crashes stopping them watching British Soap Awards

ITV viewers have slammed the channel as the service crashed - stopping them watching The British Soap Awards 2025. Soap fans were tuning into watch the awards ceremony, which was meant to start at 8pm. 1 But the programme was delayed by a few minutes with just a message from the broadcaster and a black screen. The message read: "We're sorry for the disruption." Fans were quick to take to social media with their complaints. One wrote: "What the hell is going on ? Will it ever come on?" A second said: "Oh dear looks like we got major problems on ITV1." A third commented: "Well, I guess I am not watching The Soap Awards on ITVX. What's going on?" Despite the delay, the ceremony, which was filmed earlier this week, kicked off with ane McDonald hosting for a second year. It comes after Coronation Street were brutally snubbed at the awards as they failed to pick up any of the previously announced awards at this year's ceremony. The annual soap event made a return this year after ITV mysteriously axed the contest in 2024. But it was bad news for Coronation Street as the programme suffered a devastating loss after managing to bag just the specially curated Outstanding Achievement Award which went to Roy Cropper star David Neilson. The show failed to secure wins in any of the main panel or viewer-voted categories amid ITV's ongoing cash crisis and the mass cast exodus at the soap over the past six months. Its ITV counterpart Emmerdale also faced a crushing blow ahead of the impending ITV schedule changes which will see 30 minutes worth of each programme cut a week from January 2026. BBC rival EastEnders swept the board after collecting a total of eight gongs in its 40th anniversary year - more than double its nearest rival, Channel 4's Hollyoaks who got three awards. EastEnders was awarded Best Soap after its huge live episode and anniversary week which saw Anita Dobson return as Angie Watts and Martin Fowler killed off in the arms of his love, Stacey. It was certainly not the only award that they picked up with actress Lacey Turner receiving the trophy for Best Leading Performer ahead of her impending exit from the show. The 40th anniversary also managed to clutch the Scene of the Year thanks to Angie's shock return. Steve McFadden a won a trophy for Best Dramatic Performance as Phil Mitchell but did not attend the ceremony with Angela Wynter and Rudolph Walker also receiving prizes as Patrick and Yolande - beating Corrie fan favourites Lisa Swain and Carla Connor, affectionately known as Swarla, to the Best On-Screen Partnership award. The Walford based soap also collected the Comedy Performance gongs and Villain of the Year. In a major blow to Coronation Street, only David Neilson picked up the Outstanding Achievement Award as Roy Cropper which was presented to him by by his on-screen wife Julie Hesmondhalgh. Hollyoaks managed to win three awards with Isabelle Smith winning as Best Newcomer with The Osbourne family taking home Best Family and the sibling sexual abuse storyline being named Best Storyline. Emmerdale managed just two awards with Amelia Flanagan beating her Corrie star brother Will to the Best Young Performer prize. Mike Plant, one of the show's camera operators, picked up the prestigious off-screen Tony Warren Award accolade for his contributions to the soap behind the scenes. ITV's crushing defeats come amid a period of unrest backstage at the shows. Both Corrie and Emmerdale have lost a number of stars over the past 12 months amid cuts at the channel. In particular, Coronation Street has faced increasing criticism of its far-fetched storylines and dwindling viewer interest in many of its plots.

Love Island hunk Ben Holbrough says he's not afraid to have sex in the villa – and way to hide bedroom sessions

LOVE Island star Ben Holbrough has admitted he's not afraid of having a cheeky romp in the villa. The hunky Islander, 23, is one of the new singletons looking for love on the ITV2 dating show. 3 3 And now he's open to getting down and dirty in the villa - and has even worked out a way to hide his bedroom antics. Ben told The Sun and other press said: "I can never say never, you know, you gotta take every day as it comes. "Who knows if there's a girl and I sharing a bed with and she's sexy, who knows what it's gonna cuddling every night, it could get carried away." The 6ft 2ins model from Gloucester teased: "The hideaway is there for the taking as well, so we'll wait and see. "I've already told my family that I will try and keep it as PG as possible, because I have my niece watching so I do need to make an effort to keep it PG. "But then again, there's nothing wrong with just putting a quick cover over, so I could just do that and people will think we're just having a quick cuddle, and that that is all it was." Ben, who is a private hire taxi driver, is a big fan of showing off his six pack in mirror selfies on social media. In a video on his Star Now modelling page, he said: "My main line of work is modelling, which I've been doing for about five or six years now. Love Island 2025 cast revealed as footballer, actress and beauty influencer who cheated death sign up "But when I'm not doing that, my hobbies are either going to the gym or playing football." Ben already has a connection to the reality TV world, as he is followed on Instagram by Married At First Sight star Lacey Martin. Love Island host Maya Jama will kick off the brand new series on Monday, June 9. Ben will be joining a gorgeous line-up. But their beauty is more than skin deep, as ITV2 has amassed a group with real kudos. Former fire-breather Sophie Lee has campaigned for real beauty since she was scarred for life when her act went disastrously wrong, whilst Alima Gagigo has a BA degree in international business. 3
