ANGEL OF THE BAY (7.00 Thirsk, nap)
Enjoyed going back over this trip when a solid third at Ayr last time. His capable claimer takes off a valuable 5lb today that can make all the difference in this tight contest. A repeat of his last run can do the trick.
CHARGING THUNDER (4.30 Beverley, nb)
Usually operates at a higher level than this and was an excellent third in the Northumberland Plate last time. This trip is ideal and he can defy a big weight.
COEUR JAUNE (5.13 Nottingham, treble)
Was just over a length away at Haydock last time. That was over seven furlongs and moving up to a mile looks a wise move by trainer David O'Meara.
DAKOTA DAWN (6.00 Thirsk)
Looks good for the Lucky 15. She has shown promise in three maidens and improved at Ripon last time. There's more to come now handicapping from a fair mark.

Hibs boot out seven-figure bids from English Championship clubs for key star with offers nowhere near club's valuation

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) HIBS have rejected seven-figure bids from English Championship clubs for defender Lewis Miller. SunSport understands the offers were at the £1 million mark - but Easter Road chiefs were quick to reject them because they were nowhere near their valuation of the Aussie star. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 Miller has emerged as a key Hibs player Credit: Kenny Ramsay 2 The Hibees have turfed out offers for Miller Credit: Kenny Ramsay Boss David Gray is not looking to sell the 24-year-old who has proved an excellent signing since arriving from Central Coast Mariners in 2022. However, he is realistic enough to know he could still lose the powerful full-back who has made 85 appearances if the hovering clubs match the price on Miller's head. Hibs last week broke their transfer record with a £1 million-plus swoop for Togo striker Thibault Klidje from Luzern - underlining the club's ambition to maintain their new status as Scotland's third force. There is no pressure on Gray to balance the books but it would prove hard for the board to reject a significantly increased bid for a player who is into the final year of his contract after a 12-month option was triggered. Miller has 14 caps for Australia and is on course to be included in Tony Popovic's squad for next year's World Cup finals in USA, Canada and Mexico. In the last month Hibs have also extended the contracts of key men Rocky Bushiri and Jordan Obita. Gray also continues to have scope to strengthen his squad. Hibs travel to Denmark next week to face FC Midtjylland in a Europa League second round qualifier. They have been busy in the transfer market, so far also bringing in Raphael Sallinger, Jamie McGrath and Josh Mulligan. Meanwhile, former Hibs midfielder Stevie Mallan is closing in on a return to Scottish football. David Gray opens up on THAT Cup Final winner for Hibs against Rangers and how he felt like a 'wild horse' as he celebrated The 29-year old hasn't played a competitive game for almost TWO YEARS after going through hell with a foot injury. Mallan, who was at Hibs between 2018 and 2021, is a free agent having left Salford City at the end of the 2023/24 season. He featured as a trialist for St Johnstone in their friendly against Dundee United on Tuesday night. Now, the Saints hope he'll sign on for Simo Valakari's promotion push this coming season. Forgotten ex-Hibs star close to stunning Scottish football return almost TWO YEARS since his last game

He made the breakthrough as a teenager NEW SAINT Forgotten ex-Hibs star close to stunning Scottish football return almost TWO YEARS since his last game Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) INJURY has robbed him of almost two years of his career. But now one former Hibs star is closing in on a stunning comeback to the SPFL. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 18/09/15 St Mirren v Raith Rovers. Pix by Keith Campbell. STEVIE MALLAN Credit: Keith Campbell - The Sun Glasgow 2 21.11.2020 Hibernian v Celtic, SPFL Premiership . STEVIE MALLAN Credit: The Sun Stevie Mallan broke into the first team at St Mirren as a teenager, making his debut as an 18-year old in a Premiership clash with Hamilton. He went on to make more than 100 first team appearances for the Buddies before earning a big move to England in 2017. Mallan joined Championship outfit Barnsley but struggled to make an impact and was restricted to just nine appearances as the Tykes suffered relegation. After just a year away, Mallan returned to Scotland with Hibs in July 2018 and signed a four-year deal. He bagged 13 goals from midfield in an impressive first season at Easter Road before a knee injury hampered his second season at the club in 2019/20. Mallan moved to Turkey with Yeni Malatyaspor, on an initial loan deal in February 2021. The switch became permanent in the summer but it turned into a nightmare over unpaid wages. Mallan returned to the UK with Salford City in June 2022. But injury completely wrecked his spell with the League Two outfit. In fact, his last competitive game was all the way back in 2023. David Gray on life as Hibs manager and how he turned it around when his job was on the line Mallan played the full 90 minutes of a 3-1 defeat for Salford against Gillingham on November 18 that year. He hasn't played since. A foot injury arose and it's sidelined him for 20 months. But now, he's ready to come back. Mallan has been on trial with St Johnstone and looks set to sign up for Simo Valakari's promotion push. He featured in a pre-season clash with Dundee United on Tuesday night. The golf star left empty-handed as he carded two four-over rounds of 76 during the tournament. This meant that he did not make the cut for the weekend with his +8 score. The poor effort also saw him fail to win any prize money as he finished just one shot outside of the cut line. Oakmont Country Club (OCC) president John Lynch issued a letter revealing that Clark can lift his ban if he performs several actions. It has also urged the golfer to go to anger management therapy. Lynch wrote: "Several of you have inquired about the situation involving Wyndham Clark and the steps being taken in response to his recent behaviour. "Following multiple discussions with the USGA and the OCC Board, a decision has been made that Mr. Clark will no longer be permitted on OCC property. 4 He can get his ban lifted if he goes to anger management therapy Credit: PA 4 He won the US Open at Oakmont in 2023 Credit: Getty "This decision will remain in effect unless formally reconsidered and approved by the Board."
