Emma Raducanu has responded to growing speculation about her relationship with Carlos Alcaraz, after news broke that the two tennis stars will partner in mixed doubles at the upcoming 2025 US Open.

Raducanu addressed the rumors during a BBC interview, where she was told that some online accounts were suggesting the pair were romantically involved.
'I'm glad the internet's having fun, and we're providing some entertainment for everyone,' Raducanu dismissed the talk with a light response.
The speculation followed the announcement that Raducanu and Alcaraz will play together in New York later this year. Alcaraz, the reigning Wimbledon men's champion, reportedly reached out to Raducanu earlier in the season with the idea.
'Yeah, he asked me earlier in the year and I was very surprised and honoured, and obviously excited,' she said. 'Of course I was going to say yes, I just had to kind of go through the formality of asking my coach.'

Raducanu admitted she made him wait for an answer.
'Gotta keep them on their toes!' she joked, explaining that while she wanted to say yes immediately, she still checked with her team before confirming.
The British player also shared how the partnership is rooted in a long friendship.
'I've known him for years,' she said, adding that they first got to know each other around Wimbledon 2021. That same year, both had breakout performances at the US Open.

'I remember he beat Stef [Tsitsipas] in the third round, and it was like a big win, his breakout kind of win on a big stage,' Raducanu recalled. 'We were staying in touch the whole time.'

While Alcaraz has since become a top-ranked player and Grand Slam champion, Raducanu acknowledged their careers have moved in different directions. Still, she values their connection. 'He's obviously overtaken me a lot, but it's nice that we have that from a while ago.'
She also spoke about how early friendships matter more as success grows. 'You just find yourself reverting back to people you knew from a young age… that's a real genuine connection.'
Raducanu and Alcaraz are expected to draw attention as one of the top mixed doubles teams at this year's US Open.

Charlize Theron Uses 1 Harsh Word To Describe Jeff Bezos And His Wedding Guests
We didn't know the next installment in the 'Mad Max' franchise was Furiosa vs. the Broligarchy. Charlize Theron kicked off her fifth annual block party for her Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project— which advances and invests in the health and safety of young people in Africa — Saturday night with an opening quip that made her opinion of Jeff Bezos and his ilk crystal clear. 'I think we might be the only people who did not get an invite to the Bezos wedding,' Theron told event attendees at the Universal Studios backlot, according to the Hollywood Reporter. 'But that's OK because they suck and we're cool.' After the 'Monster' star used one concise word to describe the Amazon founder and the famous attendees of his opulent Venice, Italy, wedding over the weekend, she moved on to thank her attendees for 'taking the time to be a part of this, especially when the world feels like it's burning because it is.' 'Here in Los Angeles, in the U.S. and across the globe, we're moving backwards fast,' Theron said. 'Immigration policy has destroyed the lives of families, not criminals; women's rights are becoming less and less every day; queer and trans lives are increasingly being erased; and gender-based violence is on the rise. This isn't just policy, it's personal.' THR notes that as the crowd began to appllaud, she added: 'Yeah, fuck them.' Bezos aligned himself with MAGA in January, when he snagged primo seats at President Donald Trump's inauguration alongside the other leaders of the nation's biggest technology companies, including Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, Apple's Tim Cook and Tesla's Elon Musk. Bezos is seemingly so chummy with the Trump family that the president's eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, attended the billionaire's wedding, which Forbes estimates may have cost around $25 million. Other attendees joining the star-studded guest list included Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Tom Brady, Orlando Bloom and the Kardashian/Jenner family, who weren't exactly welcomed in the Italian city. Despite Bezos and his now-wife, Lauren Sánchez, promising to donate money to Venetian charities after they tied the knot, local activist groups, including Greenpeace, protested the wedding. Critics accused the couple of exploiting a city already suffering from overtourism, rising housing prices and the threat of flooding due to environmental factors. But, unlike Trump, it doesn't seem like Theron thinks that protestors suck. The 'Tully' star noted in her speech Saturday that she feels that the 'resistance' against the president's policies is a glimmer of 'hope.' 'There is power in all of us standing up, organizing, protesting, voting and caring for each other, and refusing to accept that this is the new normal,' Theron said, per THR. 'That spirit of resistance, justice and care for each other, that's the spirit that drives the work at CTAOP.' 'And although our focus is on the youth in Southern Africa,' Theron added, 'what we're really talking about here tonight is that all lives should be valued.'

David Bakhtiari pokes fun at Aaron Rodgers's mystery wedding
David Bakhtiari could be heading to "The Island." Then again, maybe he's already there. On Monday, the former Packers tackle tweeted a video from the recent wedding of current Packers quarterback Jordan Love. Bakhtiari added this: "Just happy at least one of my quarterbacks invited me to their wedding." Advertisement Love and Bakhtiari had limited time together. Bakhtiari started only one game in 2023, Love's first year as a starter and the left tackle's last year in Green Bay. Aaron Rodgers and Bakhtiari had many years together with the Packers. Making the Bakhtiari remark even more interesting is the general haze of uncertainty surrounding the Rodgers wedding. Up to and including whether a wedding even happened. We know, we know. Rodgers doesn't want anyone to talk about his wedding. When you're one of the most famous players in the NFL, however, you don't get to dictate the terms of the attention you receive. Especially when you show up out of nowhere with a wedding ring. Before showing up without it. Before showing up with it prominently in the photo of you signing a contract with your new team. With Rodgers cloaking so much of his life in mystery, it's impossible to know when, where, or who he married. Or if he even is married. Advertisement Maybe the ring is a Costanza-style sociological experiment aimed at seeing whether women will hit on guys who wear wedding bands. Regardless, Bakhtiari went there. We don't know much, but we know Rodgers won't be happy about it.

Wimbledon 2025: No. 3 Jessica Pegula eliminated in first round in shocking loss to Elisabetta Cocciaretto
Wimbledon 2025: No. 3 Jessica Pegula eliminated in first round in shocking loss to Elisabetta Cocciaretto Jessica Pegula entered Wimbledon with lofty expectations. As the women's No. 3, Pegula was expected to make a deep run at the event, not running into trouble until the later rounds. Any hope for that push ended Tuesday, as Pegula shockingly lost in the first round of the tournament to Elisabetta Cocciaretto. Pegula lost in straight sets to the women's No. 116 player (6-2, 6-3). It was an uncharacteristically sloppy day for Pegula, who notched four double faults in the loss. Advertisement For all of Pegula's success, Wimbledon remains her toughest Grand Slam event. Entering Tuesday, Pegula had just a 62 percent winning percentage at the tournament, her lowest among all Grand Slams. That number decreased following her first-round loss to Cocciaretto. This story will be updated.
