Where is the Forty Seven hotel?
At Forty-Seven Peter street, located in a former shipping warehouse, the bold and contemporary interior design patterns contrast the more traditional heritage architecture surrounding the hotel, found in the heart of Manchester.
The hotel is situated just a 6 minute drive from Manchester Piccadilly station.
What is the hotel like?
The boutique hotel is in a Grade II-listed Lancashire House on the bustling Peter Street.
It's within easy reach of the best Manchester has to offer, from art and culture to food and nightlife.
What are the rooms like?
There are 32 rooms spread over five floors. I enjoyed a Cosy King room with a king-sized bed. Decor features deep greens and striking furnishings, with teals set against bare brick.
Rooms are compact and cosy. The bed was one of the comfiest we've ever slept in.
Other thoughtful touches include a high-spec espresso machine and a hidden ironing board that folds out a full-length mirror.
All rooms provide specially appointed luxury fittings to compliment the modern furnishings, making an alluring space to call home for the night.
Rooms range from the Cosy King Room to the Forty-Seven Suite, starting from £129 per night. For more information, click here.
What is there to eat and drink there?
Check out Ashas's- a modern, upmarket Indian restaurant on the hotel's ground floor that is a Manchester favourite.
You'll find traditional Indian cuisine plus more modern takes.
Choose between a pre-theatre set menu, a la carte or a tasting menu for a fine dining experience.
Be sure to stay for breakfast- an Indian twist on the classics.
I had a tasty full English with egg and bacon wrap, spicy sausages and crispy hash browns.

What else is there to do at the hotel?
The hotel is perfectly placed for exploring Manchester's buzzing nightlife.
Grab a drink at the Peterman, the hotel's cosy cocktail lounge, before heading off to explore the city.
You're just a few minutes walk from 20 stories, the city's best rooftop bar, N64 retro arcade bar and Schofield's, which features in a list of the world's 50 best bars.
Peter street has something for everyone, home to exhibitions and late night gigs, brilliant shopping and architecture brimming with culture.
It is also trademarked as a hotspot for foodies, with its hip bars and fine-dining restaurants to cosy coffee shops.
Is the hotel family-friendly?
The hotel can accommodate families, with two bedroom suites available, and a children's menu provided upon request at Asha's restaurant.
But Forty-Seven generally lends itself to more adult clientele as it aims to provide an elevated and sophisticated experience for its guests.
Is there access for guests with disabilities?
Yes, the Forty-Seven is an accessible hotel, providing accommodations and facilities for those with disabilities.

Popular £3 DIY solution for adding privacy to overlooked windows – install in seconds & cheaper than curtains or blinds

Plus, a full list of locations where new Lidl stores are set to open HOME HACK Popular £3 DIY solution for adding privacy to overlooked windows – install in seconds & cheaper than curtains or blinds Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) NO one likes to feel overlooked and spied upon in their own home, but sometimes it's unavoidable. As our homes become taller and closer together, Lidl have been finding innovative solutions to help keep the onlookers out. For only £2.99, Lidl have released new Livarno Home Window Privacy Films. The new product is set to launch on August 14 and will be sure to fly off the shelves. The reason to buy Privacy can be required at home for a number of reasons, and for many it can be the only option. For many, curtains and blinds are too costly and an inefficient way of blocking out onlookers. What's more, not all windows are uniform in size, and so finding blinds to fit some windows can be an interior design nightmare. 4 Curtains and blinds can be an interior design nightmare Credit: Getty As a result, privacy film such as Lidl's, which can be cut to size, is a great solution, in particular because it is reusable. The easy to apply self-adhesive makes protecting your home has never been easier. The rolls come in four different varieties to fit any interior, and come in rolls of 67.5cm wide and 200cm long. As a result, for many windows, there would be no need to awkwardly try to align two rolls together or pattern match.' And unlike blinds and curtains, window film is also easy to clean – it can simply be wiped down with household cleaning products. Lidl Launches £7.99 Extension Lead to Rival Screwfix's £39.99 Gadget Film over curtains People tend to use privacy glass for multiple reasons, and there are many options on the market. Privacy glass films can be either reflective or frosted. Reflective glass helps to achieve privacy by providing an appearance on one side of the glass, whilst allowing vision from the other side, meaning those who use it can still look out without hindering their view - only the view of onlookers. 4 Films can be an easy way to reflect heat without blocking the view Credit: Getty The film works on the light balance, with the side of the film that is brightest exhibiting the reflective properties. During daylight hours, this is always the side of the film facing outwards, making it ideal for daytime privacy. Therefore, the film is an ideal alternative to blinds or curtains which, when drawn, block the view both ways, whilst also making rooms dark. These films are designed to allow good light transmission, ensuring that a good level of natural light is allowed to enter the room whilst also maintaining a view. 4 Lidl's cost-effective option is only £2.99 Credit: Getty For some people, ultimate privacy is wanted, and so two-way frosted film can be used. Once applied, this versatile film gives windows the appearance of acid etched or sandblasted glass, preventing vision from both sides of the pane whilst allowing high levels of light to pass through. It is a stylish solution to privacy, while still allowing light to enter the building and can be cut to the exact size specifications. Yet, privacy is not the only purpose for windows films. Some films have solar control benefits to help lower heat buildup in rooms by reflecting the heat out of a room. This means they can be the perfect solution to keeping rooms cooler in the summer months, such as bedrooms.

Costco secrets revealed including the pricing code that tells you if an item has been discounted

Our expert Jordon Cox who is Coupon King reveals how YOU can save money at Costco BARGAIN HUNT Costco secrets revealed including the pricing code that tells you if an item has been discounted Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) EVERYONE loves feeling part of an exclusive club and it's even better if you get cheaper prices like at Costco. And if you are a subscriber then there are some secrets, including a pricing code trick, that could help you get even bigger discounts. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 Shoppers can save serious cash at Costco Credit: Alamy Plus, we reveal how anyone can shop online and you don't need to qualify for a full membership. Coupon king Jordon Cox shares his top tips and explains how to shop Costco like a discount expert. Secret codes on price labels Did you know that the pricing labels hold a lot more secrets than you might think? They even tell you a lot about the item, purely by what the price ends in. If a price ends in .97 - that means Costco has discounted it, or it's on clearance. A price that ends in .49 .69 .79 - it's a manufacturer's special, so could be cheaper than other supermarkets. The rarest is a price ending in .00 - which is a manager's special, and very hard to come across. These are usually bargain buys. But if you see a price ending .99 - it's full price & nothing to shout about. Finally, if you ever see a pricing label with an asterisk in the top corner, that item is not being restocked. So if it's something you want, get it before it sells out. Gift card discounts you should look out for One of the best value things to buy in Costco is their gift cards. You can often buy them for less than the value they're worth. For example, £40 worth of Vue gift cards are priced at £34.99. £100 worth of Nando's gift cards are £83.99. And £250 Virgin Experience days vouchers are priced at £199.99. These are available both online and in store. Remember, they are only worth buying if you wanted to spend that cash anyway - but they do work out great value for items you had planned to buy. Don't forget to make a note of the expiry date and also consider that your cash isn't protected if a firm goes out of business. Anyone can shop online Did you know you can shop online on Costco's website, even if you don't qualify for membership? There is an 'online only' membership for £42 per year, where you can get access to all of the deals online & delivered - you just can't go into a warehouse. If you're looking to buy electricals, white goods or higher value items - this may be one of the cheapest ways to get them. Get cashback if prices fall If you're ever buying an item from Costco, it might be worth checking the price even after you've purchased it. That's because, if the price is reduced within 30 days after you've bought it - you can claim back the difference. This works especially well for those high ticket items like white goods. You'll need to fill out a price adjustment form - and the money will be given back to you as store credit. You can complete the form either online or in store. Cheapest supermarket lunch A staple of the Costco experience is heading to the food court - where you can find some real bargains. One deal in the food court that has never changed, is a hot dog and fountain drink for £1.50. This is the one of the cheapest lunches you can find at a supermarket - and some go out of their way just to get it. It's known as a 'loss leader' for the supermarket, to tempt people through the door, and do more of their shopping there. But the hot dog is good! You can also pick up a refillable drink for around £1.19 to take around with you while shopping.
