Baby swings recalled due to suffocation hazard
(WJW) – More than 400 infant swings sold on Walmart's website were recalled on Friday because of a suffocation risk to babies, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission announced.
The COMEONROA-branded electric infant swings were marketed for babies to sleep in, but according to the CPSC, 'they have an incline angle greater than 10 degrees in violation of the Safe Sleep for Babies Act.'
Also, the recalled swings do not include the mandatory warnings needed for products that contain button cell and coin batteries, the CPSC said.

The product, manufactured in China, was sold on Walmart.com from January 2024 through February 2025 for roughly $80.
The blue space-themed swings have 'a black base with a touch-screen panel, a star and a moon hanging plush toys, a pillow, a seat cover and a mosquito net with canopy,' according to the recall.
A label under the seat reads 'Model No.: S-Y608' and 'Baby cradle swing.'
There have been no reported injuries related to this recall.

Anyone who purchased one of these swings should stop using it immediately and reach out to Eonroacoo for a refund.
Customers are urged to take a picture of the swing and send it with the message 'Recalled' by email to eonroacoorecall@126.com. Customers should then throw away the swing.

Brown eggs sold at Walmart, Ralphs, Safeway and more are being recalled. These eggs are connected to a multistate Salmonella outbreak, resulting in 79 illnesses. Multiple brands are impacted by this recall, with 1.7 million cartoned eggs an active Salmonella outbreak linked to brown eggs sold in multiple states, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Over 1.7 million cartoned eggs are being affected by this recall and were distributed by various retailers. The affected eggs were sold between February 3 and May 15, 2025. According to the FDA, all of the recalled brown eggs will have a plant code number 'P-6562' or 'CA5330' with Julian dates between 32 and 126 printed on the carton or package. The following stores in California and Nevada sold these recalled eggs with sell-by dates ranging from March 5 to June 4, 2025: Save Mart, FoodMaxx, Lucky, Smart & Final, Safeway, Raleys, Food 4 Less and Ralphs. Additionally, Walmart has recalled brown eggs with sell-by dates from March 4 to June 19, 2025. Salmonella recall of 20 million eggs from Walmart, Safeway, Ralphs, among others
Another salmonella outbreak caused the recall of 1.7 million dozen eggs — meaning roughly more than 20 million less eggs to fry — and has sickened people in seven states. The aforementioned eggs were distributed to Walmart, Safeway, chains owned by Kroger and various other independent and chain supermarkets. Hilmar, California's August Egg Company, a division of Gemperle Enterprises, produced the eggs and issued the recall Friday. 'August Egg Company is not selling fresh shell eggs at this time,' the company-written, FDA-posted recall notice said. 'Our firm has voluntarily been diverting eggs to an egg-breaking plant for over 30 days, which pasteurizes the eggs and kills any potential foodborne pathogens.' The eggs that went to Walmart stores had sell by dates from March 4 through June 19. Other retailers got eggs with 'sell by dates' from March 4 through June 4. August Egg says these eggs went to stores in California, Washington, Illinois, Nevada, Arizona, Wyoming, New Mexico, Nebraska, and Indiana. Saturday's outbreak update from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says 79 people have been sickened in this outbreak with 21 hospitalizations. Of those 79, 63 are in California. The remaining 16 break down as Nevada and Washington (four each); Arizona, three; Nebraska and New Jersey (two each); and Kentucky, one. Salmonella outbreaks tend to be very undercounted because most people recover without medical attention. The CDC estimates about 1.35 million people in the United States will get salmonella each year. Of that number, 26,400 will be hospitalized, usually driven to the hospital by bloody diarrhea, and 420 will die. Usually, salmonella just means a few days of diarrhea, vomiting, fever and stomachaches.
