Cristiano Ronaldo and Mo Salah still at peak fitness as they show off six packs
Cristiano Ronaldo uploaded a Father's Day picture of him and his son with their ripped physiques and Liverpool star Mo Salah had no plans to cover up as he turned 33!
Ripped Cristiano Ronaldo and Mo Salah both continue to combat the years as they spent the weekend proving they are still at peak fitness by showing off their six packs.
Salah had the perfect answer to turning 33 on Sunday as the Liverpool star flexed his washboard abs as he celebrated his birthday on a family holiday. Ronaldo, 40, is also keeping age at bay, and it's a case of like father like son as the legendary forward showed off his incredible physique with Cristiano Jr showing he's a chip off the old block.
Ronaldo, who added yet another honour to his incredible CV after Portugal's Nations League success this month, took some time out as he considers his future with the former Manchester United star - who wants to become the first player ever to score 1,000 professional goals - weighing up an offer to stay with Al-Nassr.
Aspiring footballer Cristiano Jr, who turns 15 next week, has already been capped by Portugal's U-15 side, and wears the iconic number seven shirt, just like his superstar dad. The five-time Champions League winner wowed his 657million Instagram followers with the topless shot, standing next to his son.
Fans were quick to point out a surprising detail in Ronaldo's new post as he posted a Father's Day picture of him and his son. it was soon noticed that his toenails were panted black, which created a huge discussion thread. Posting a picture of his feet one person wrote: "Why is he painting his toenails?" Another person said: "Painted your toe nails goat??" And a third person added: "Tf is this @cristiano?"
Explaining the reason behind his choice of painting his nails black, one follower on the social media platform said: " Cristiano Ronaldo paints his toenails, particularly with black polish, for practical, health-related reasons, not for fashion." They added: "The practice is inspired by combat sports athletes like MMA fighters who use it to protect their nails from cracking, splitting, or fungal infections."
But it appears that new data might have convinced the Portuguese forward to carry on even longer. Ronaldo has had a long-running partnership with fitness watch manufacturers WHOOP. And part of the technology has revealed that his 'biological age' is over a decade younger than he actually is. Speaking on the WHOOP podcast, he said: "I can't believe it's so good. 28.9."
And after learning that, Ronaldo joked that he could potentially prolong his career well into the 2030s. He added: "This means I'll play football for another 10 years." Ronaldo has already spoken about potentially stepping away from the pitch. While he confirmed that there wasn't a specific plan, he did admit that it was something on the horizon.
He said: "I just want to enjoy. Plan for retirement... if it has to happen, in one or two years... I don't know. I'm turning 40 soon... I really want to enjoy, as long as I feel motivated I keep going.
'The day I don't feel motivated, I will retire. When I decide to leave the national team, I'll do it spontaneously but thoughtfully. There won't be any advance announcements. I don't see myself managing a team; that's not in my plans. My future lies in other areas outside of football, although time will tell what happens."

Darwin Nunez ready to accept transfer offer as Liverpool set asking price
Darwin Nunez is ready to accept a transfer offer to leave Liverpool but the Premier League champions are asking for at least £50m for the striker. Nunez has largely disappointed at Anfield following a big-money move from Benfica in 2022 worth up to £85m. The 25-year-old scored 34 goals during his last season at Benfica but has failed to hit those heights during his three-year spell at Liverpool. Nunez has chipped in with some vital goals – scoring 40 in total over the past three seasons – but Liverpool bosses expected more from one of the most expensive signings in the club's history. Liverpool fielded offers for Nunez during the January transfer window but did not want to risk unsettling a squad that was on course to win the Premier League. Wake up to find news on your club in your inbox every morning with Metro's Football Newsletter. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your team in the link we'll send you so we can get football news tailored to you. But Arne Slot is open to selling Nunez this summer, especially if the sale boosts his own transfer kitty and allows him to bring more new signings to the club. Liverpool have signed Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen and are set to welcome his former teammate Florian Wirtz to Anfield in a deal worth around £115m. Nunez is one of the players expected to make way and has emerged as a target for several clubs in Saudi Arabia and Europe. According to Gianluca di Marzio, Napoli have identified Nunez as a top target and the Uruguay international is 'open' to joining the Serie A champions. Napoli have already sealed an impressive deal for Manchester City hero Kevin De Bruyne and now want to add Nunez to Antonio Conte's squad in Naples. Appearances: 95Goals: 25Assists: 13Wins: 57Goals per game: 0.57 Big chances missed: 55 Corriere dello Sport also say Napoli are working on a deal for Nunez and believe Liverpool have quoted a price of at least £50m to interested suitors. Napoli's biggest competition for Nunez could in fact come from their direct rivals AC Milan, who are looking to sign a new striker for new manager Massimiliano Allegri. The Saudi Pro League could offer Nunez a lucrative contract but he is believed to have reservations about leaving elite club football in Europe. Despite his underwhelming spell on Merseyside, Nunez has all the attributes to be a top-class striker. Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain have even been urged to approach Liverpool to discuss a shock move for Nunez. 'There are two players I'd like to see at PSG and one is Kai Havertz from Arsenal,' France World Cup winner Marcel Desailly told Oddspedia. More Trending 'Havertz is the best option because he can play as a midfielder but also as a point of reference up front as a striker. 'For me Havertz would be the best signing for PSG and the other is Darwin Nunez from Liverpool. 'Nunez is a point of reference and has great movement, he has been unlucky in front of goal but I think he'd do well in a back-up role for PSG. 'Those are the two players I'd like to see join PSG this summer.' For more stories like this, check our sport page. Follow Metro Sport for the latest news on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Kleberson on Man Utd regrets, Cristiano Ronaldo and ‘big signing' Matheus Cunha
EXCLUSIVE: Former Manchester United and Brazil star Kleberson talks to Mirror Football about his time at Old Trafford, meeting Cristiano Ronaldo and the Red Devils' signing of Matheus Cunha Kleberson had the world at his feet back in 2003. Fresh from winning the World Cup just 12 months before, he became the first-ever Brazilian to sign for Manchester United. Supporters were understandably excited after a fresh-faced Kleberson was pictured alongside a teenage Cristiano Ronaldo on the Old Trafford touchline after putting pen to paper with the Red Devils. But the former midfielder struggled to hit the heights expected of him in the Premier League having made just 30 appearances for the club over two seasons before being allowed to join Turkish giants Besiktas. Kleberson, though, has no regrets from his time with United. Speaking exclusively to Mirror Football, he said: 'Everything goes fast in that time. I signed a professional contract in 1999, I win the league in Brazil in 2001 and then in 2002, I was in the World Cup winning squad with Brazil. And then 2003, I signed for the biggest club in the world in Manchester United. 'It all happened so fast. It's so fast. Unfortunately, I got a lot of injuries that push me back. I only say that because when I got an injury, I got back 100% to play, I need to compete against Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Cristiano Ronaldo who started to fly. 'It's not easy. I know I won the World Cup at the time and at a big name Manchester United but it took time to get to a better level. But injuries didn't help me at that time. 'But I was the first Brazilian in the Reds jersey, the first to score in Old Trafford and my sons are born there. I have great memories, I really enjoyed that time.' While Kleberson's injuries limited his contributions for United, the man who he was unveiled alongside - Cristiano Ronaldo - enjoyed plenty of success. The five-time Ballon d'Or scored 118 goals across his first spell before his record move to Real Madrid. Kleberson knew he was destined for stardom after meeting him for the first time. He said: "It's so funny because when I get into Old Trafford to sign my contract, I remember I was on a table with a lot of agents. And then a young guy was there. I asked 'who's that kid?' And it was Cristiano Ronaldo. 'I was told he played in a friendly game for Sporting vs United and he destroyed the game. Before Cristiano, they tried to bring Ronaldinho and I think 'wow, that kid is probably special'. 'As soon as I saw that kid on the field, his dribbling, his technical quality, it's amazing. But one thing is was how focused he was. He was really focused on the things he wanted to see, concentrated. "He wants to get better quickly. He had a special mentor in Sir Alex Ferguson and he put him in the right direction. Ferdinand, Roy Keane and Gary Neville helped him to improve. But the strong mind he had at that time really impressed me. To see him score goals in a final for Portugal, that kid never stops.' With it now being over two decades since Kleberson became the first Brazilian to sign for the club, United have once again turned to a Selecao star in the transfer market. Ruben Amorim's side quickly paid Matheus Cunha's £62.5m release clause to sign him from Wolves. Kleberson believes he could be just the answer the club are looking for to solve their goalscoring woes. He added: 'It's a big signing for Man United. I really enjoy watching Cunha play. 'He starts to play in my town in Coritiba. I really enjoyed watching his game against Paraguay. It was the first time I watched him this close. 'He does a little bit more close movement, a lot of runs without the ball, diagonal moves. It's a big signing. I think United are going to be scoring well with him.' Another Premier League player who has been on the move this summer has been Jorginho. The Arsenal midfielder was allowed to leave the Emirates Stadium to sign for Brazilian side Flamengo ahead of the Club World Cup. And Kleberson believes that the Italian could have a big impact for his former side in the USA this summer. He said: 'I think that's a big signing for Flamengo because of the experience he brings for the club, it's amazing. 'He's a leader. He wants to come to Brazil, wants to play in the Maracana and now he can help the club a lot. But for this tournament, it's a great signing and he's going to be helping Flamengo a lot in some of the games.' Kleberson was speaking ahead of the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup 2025. Malisha, meanwhile, hit back and told Meg - who is coupled up with fitness coach Dejon - to "grow up". The bombshell called her "an idiot" and pointed out that Meg had only known Dejon for a matter of days. But despite the majority of the population siding with Malisha, with some fans even threatening to complain to Ofcom about Meg's reaction, Laura is backing the other horse. Commenting on Love Island's official Instagram account, 36-year-old Laura wrote: "#TeamMegs." Slamming mum-of-one Laura, one viewer of the ITV2 show replied: "No sis sorry check ur girl." Another added: "Wrong team darling." A third wrote: "I can't believe you." And someone else remarked: "That says a lot about you." But another Love Island fan told they "100 per cent" agreed with her. Love Island fans slam Meg for 'trying to be iconic' as she furiously confronts rival and villa descends into chaos Meg and Malisha's row has been escalating over the past few days. It began when Malisha entered the villa on Friday night and took Dejon on a date - all under the watchful eyes of Meg. She and the rest of the Love Island OG girls were watching on a big screen in the villa garden. At the time, Meg even branded Malisha a "b****", despite not having met her in person yet. A feud then exploded between the girls on Sunday night after Malisha had returned to the villa with Dejon and asked if he'd like to chat in The Hideaway. The row left Malisha in tears and, as a result, has caused a divide in the villa. Alima Gagigo was quick to comfort her before confronting Meg and the other girls about their treatment of Malisha. Storming outside, she urged them all to be kind. Shakira Khan and Toni Laites have also thrown their support behind the newbie, insisting that Malisha's actions were not "disrespectful".
