Eritrea: Vocational Training Provided to Members of the Defense Forces
A three-month vocational training program has been provided to 163 members of the Central Command of the Eritrean Defense Forces, including 31 females, in Keren.
The training covered music arrangement, drama and directing, vocal systems, dancing, basic camera operation, and training of trainers in football, volleyball, cycling, athletics, and basketball, as well as refereeing.
Program coordinators stated that the theoretical and practical training was part of ongoing efforts to enhance the vocational capacities of members of the Defense Forces. They also encouraged the trainees to apply the knowledge gained in the development of cultural and sports activities.
Ambassador Abdella Musa, Governor of the Anseba Region, urged members of the Defense Forces to continue developing themselves through education and skills, alongside their contributions in defending the nation and supporting development programs.
The event featured cultural and artistic performances by the Zara Cultural Troupe.

Sinner had 'sleepless nights' after dramatic French Open final loss
Italian Jannik Sinner said on Sunday he had experienced "a few sleepless nights" since his historic French Open final loss to Carlos Alcaraz. He returned home to Trentino-South Tyrol after the gruelling encounter on clay. "I was very relaxed with my family. We grilled a bit, played table tennis with my friends," Sinner said. "Really normal things, nothing special. I like going home, when a lot is going on. "I feel safe at home and with my friends," he added. Sinner returned from a three-month doping suspension in mid-May and now turns his mind to defending the title in Germany. "The ball can bounce a bit funny because of the grass, and you have to serve intelligently," Sinner said. "But in general, it is a surface on which I took a step forward last year and we will see how it goes this year," he added.

President Wavel Ramkalawan visited the Paradise Arena at Roche Caiman earlier this week to assess preparations for the upcoming International Boxing Tournament being organised by Tides Seychelles.
