Making sure your devices stay charged is critical when traveling, as they often serve as your map, communication tool, and entertainment hub. Portable chargers, such as high-capacity power banks, are indispensable for long flights, road trips, or days spent exploring. Opt for models that support fast charging and Apple's MagSafe technology for added convenience and efficiency.
Apple's USB-C power adapters are another excellent choice, especially for international travel. These compact and lightweight adapters provide reliable charging while occupying minimal space in your luggage. For travelers visiting multiple countries, consider a universal adapter that supports various plug types. With the right power solutions, you can avoid the frustration of dead batteries and stay connected no matter where your journey takes you. AirTags: Track and Secure Your Belongings
Misplaced luggage or lost items can disrupt even the most carefully planned trips. Apple's AirTags offer a simple yet effective way to keep track of your belongings. Attach an AirTag to your suitcase, backpack, or keys, and use the Find My app to locate them in real time. The precision tracking feature and audible alerts make it easy to recover items, whether they're across the airport or hidden in your hotel room.
To enhance durability, pair your AirTags with protective keychains or holders designed to withstand the rigors of travel. These accessories not only safeguard your AirTags but also ensure they remain securely attached to your belongings. With AirTags, you can travel confidently, knowing your essentials are always within reach. Travel Accessories: Optimize Your Journey
The right travel accessories can make a significant difference in your overall experience. Noise-canceling AirPods Pro are ideal for blocking out distractions during flights or train rides, allowing you to enjoy music, podcasts, or audiobooks in peace. For Apple Watch users, compact chargers ensure your device stays powered, allowing you to track your activity, monitor your health, and stay on schedule.
Multi-port travel hubs and adapters are invaluable for managing multiple devices. These tools allow you to charge and connect your gadgets seamlessly, whether you're working remotely or organizing photos from your trip. If you're a photography enthusiast, consider investing in portable tripods or gimbals compatible with iPhones to capture stunning, steady shots of your adventures.
For added convenience, Apple's MagSafe wallets or cardholders can help you keep your essentials organized and easily accessible. These accessories attach securely to your iPhone, combining functionality with sleek design. Device Protection: Guard Against Damage
Travel can expose your devices to potential damage, making protective cases and covers essential. Rugged cases with shock-absorbing materials are ideal for shielding your iPhone or iPad from accidental drops and impacts. If your plans include outdoor adventures or beach days, waterproof cases provide an extra layer of protection against water damage.
For MacBooks, consider slim yet durable sleeves that offer a balance of protection and portability. These sleeves safeguard your laptop from scratches and minor impacts without adding unnecessary bulk to your luggage. Investing in high-quality protective gear can save you from costly repairs and ensure your devices remain in excellent condition throughout your trip. Connectivity: Stay Online and Synced
Reliable internet access is essential for staying connected while traveling. Portable Wi-Fi hotspots or eSIM solutions provide consistent connectivity, even in remote areas. These tools are particularly useful for navigating unfamiliar locations, staying in touch with loved ones, or working on the go.
Before embarking on your trip, update your devices with the latest software and back up your data to iCloud. Apple's Continuity features, such as Handoff and Universal Clipboard, enable seamless transitions between devices, making multitasking more efficient. Additionally, downloading offline maps and travel apps can help you navigate without relying solely on internet access. With the right connectivity tools, you can stay productive and in touch, no matter where your travels take you. Travel Smarter with Apple Gear
By equipping yourself with the right Apple travel gear, you can make your summer 2025 adventures smoother, more organized, and enjoyable. From portable power solutions and AirTags for tracking to protective cases and connectivity tools, these essentials ensure your devices remain functional and secure. Investing in the right accessories allows you to navigate your journey with confidence, convenience, and ease, making sure every moment of your trip is as seamless as possible.

Apple AirTag I've used travelling to four countries drops in price

Commerce Editor, Harriet Morphy-Morris, has used an AirTag travelling to more than four countries and brands it a 'life saver' - here's where to buy it for less Bluetooth trackers, the tiny tech gadgets that let you track the every move of the belongings it's attached to, from suitcases, to handbags, wallets, and passports. Apple's popular AirTag has dropped to one of the cheapest prices thanks to an early Amazon Prime Day discount - and it's one I recommend to all my friends and family having used it travelling on trips to France, New York, Italy and Botswana. Apple's AirTag uses the Apple Find My Network which allows users to track its every move. Usually £35 for one, it's now available for £26.60 at Amazon. The early 2025 Prime Day discount makes it cheaper than Apple's own site. The trackable gadget is simple to set up for iOS users, once the AirTag has been opened, simply move it near to your iPhone or iPad and it'll appear with a 'connect' notification. Then choose a name for it (which is what you track) and register it with your Apple iD. I did this back in 2022, and since using an AirTag to travel I've never lost my luggage. The AirTag emits a personal network that can be detected by other AirTag users within close proximity to the tag. It will ping its location to nearby users who can then share the location with you, anonymously. Apple users may already be well aware of the 'Find My' app, and the AirTag is tracked similarly to if you were to look for a lost phone on the 'Find My iPhone' days. On the Find My app, I can see straight away where my bags are and how long ago they've been in that location - a feature I find great to check when boarding the plane, I always see if my bags have been loaded too. AirTags do have a limitation for many travellers and mobile users, as they are iOS only, so Android users miss out. This is where rival devices like the Tile tag and select models from the brand Chipolo can come in handy. As we highlight below. Chipolo, Tile and Samsung alternatives The Tile by Life360 is available to buy at Amazon for £34.99. A slight increase to the current on-sale AirTag. It also tracks belongings its attached to with an app, but instead of opening it up and seeing the location of the tracker straight away (like with the AirTag) you have to click 'location history'. I've previously used the Tile tracker up against the AirTag while flying on holiday, and it does offer slightly more precise location on the map, with a view of nearby shops and attractions iOS doesn't have. Another option is Chipolo. The Chipolo Card Spot, which only works with iPhones, is currently reduced to £19 and it offers a slimmer alternative that can be slotted into purses and wallets. During a recent holiday, I decided to put Chipolo's CARD Spot to the test. Its slim design, like a bank card, is perfect for slipping into a wallet, passport, or ID, similar to the Tile by Life360 or Eufy SmartTrack Card. Though I opted to place it in my suitcase pocket for tracking during my flight. It comes with a catch, though, as it operates solely on Apple's Find My network, not its own app. Priced at £21 in the sale, the CARD Spot boasts features that set it apart from the AirTag and Tile pack. However, if you're an Android user, this gadget won't be suitable as it lacks compatibility.

A picnic is always a good idea. Given the glorious weather forecast this weekend, many of us will be grabbing blankets, baskets and beverages and seeking out the perfect picnicking spot, be that beach, park or back garden. An excellent blanket, a decent cool bag and a sunshade are all essentials. But to raise your game, reusable napkins, generous drinks pitchers and large trays – or even a folding tray table – are great additions. For extra picnic points, decant crisps, fruit, nuts, etc into prettier containers: the high street shops are full of patterned platters and stylish serving plates this summer. Bring games, speakers and ice packs, and don't forget the bottle opener. Here are 15 picnic picks for your summer 2025 kit list.
