Pisang goreng seller allegedly scammed, show RM100 fake note
A Malaysian pisang goreng seller has gone viral after falling victim to a heartbreaking scam — receiving a counterfeit RM100 note from a customer, only to realise that it was a fake note too late.
The incident was shared on TikTok by user @kakemikitchen, who expressed her frustration after being duped during a routine transaction.

'Even small traders like me get scammed with fake money,' she wrote in a caption accompanying the video, clearly disappointed.
According to her, the fake note wasn't flagged until she tried to deposit it at the bank and was told it wasn't real currency.
In a follow-up video to silence skeptics, the vendor demonstrated a water test on the note. Though it initially appeared legitimate — complete with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's image and other familiar markings — rubbing water on its surface exposed the truth.
Purple dye began to bleed from the front, and faded ink patches emerged on the reverse side.
'You be the judge. Does this look like real money to you? To those who said I faked this for content, I'm showing this just to prove it's real,' she stated.
The video has since garnered millions of views and triggered an outpouring of support from Malaysians online.
Many were outraged at the dishonesty shown toward a small-time food vendor and urged others in similar businesses to be extra cautious when handling large denomination notes.
One user called mirayasmin56 commented, 'Back then, you could tell fake money just by looking at it once. Now, even after looking two or three times, it looks exactly the same. Next time, keep some water ready—if anyone gives you a RM100 note, dip it in water first.'
'That's not a good thing to do. Pity the trader. May the trader be blessed with abundant sustenance,' A wrote.
'Maybe the person who bought it didn't even know it was fake money... because it looks exactly the same,' auraputeri04 suggested.

In the special night operation enforced by 129 immigration officers and 11 National Registration Department officers, eight summonses were also issued against the supervisor and caretaker of the nightspot as well as a woman deejay. According to the statement, the centre opens for business from 11 pm to 5 am while local and foreign DJs play hypnotic Dugem music to keep foreign patrons engrossed. In KLANG, the Selangor Immigration Department (JIM) arrested 12 foreigners during a raid on an entertainment centre believed to be a transit point for guest relations officers (GRO) in Bandar Bukit Tinggi here through Op Gegar last night. Khairrul Aminus said the cases are being investigated under Section 6(1)(c) and Section 15(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63 as well as Regulation 39(b) of the Immigration Regulations 1963 for misusing social visit passes. He said the raid involved 21 officers and all detainees were taken to the Selangor Immigration Office for further action. In a separate case, Khairrul Aminus said four illegal immigrants (PATI) including a married couple with a one-year-old boy were arrested under Op Sapu at 10.20 pm at a rented house in Taman Klang Jaya. He said the raid follows complaints about the noisy house being used as a transit point for foreigners.

3 Malaysians suspected of smuggling drugs detained in Laos
KUALA LUMPUR: Police have confirmed that three Malaysians have been detained in Laos after being believed to be involved in an attempt to smuggle 103 packages of ganja into that country on May 27. Bukit Aman Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department acting director DCP Mat Zani @ Mohd Salahuddin Che Ali said the three men, aged between 25 and 29 years old, were detained at the Laos International Airport after arriving in the country on a Thai Airways flight. 'Checks found that the men left the country on May 22 and investigations are underway to determine whether the marijuana was smuggled from here or Thailand. 'They are currently being detained by the Laos authorities and investigations are underway,' he said when contacted here today. Earlier, Laos media reported that the three men, including a rap singer from Malaysia, were detained by the country's authorities during a routine inspection involving customs officers and airport enforcement. During the inspection of their six suitcases, the authorities found 103 packages of cannabis with an estimated total weight of 86 kilogrammes hidden in the bags. It is reported that the three individuals were believed to be waiting for a flight to Germany to smuggle the drugs out of the country. Meanwhile, Laos authorities said that the three individuals will be prosecuted according to the country's laws and the case will be investigated according to the set procedures.
