Pakistan's top official, DG ISPR Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, during a press conference, shared Rauf's details, including his national ID number, birth date, and family information.
"This man is Hafiz Abdur Rauf, who is actually leading the prayers. He has three daughters, son and he was born in March 1973. You can see his family details and everything," Chaudhry had said in a presentation during a press conference on Sunday in which he had shown Rauf's details.
Chaudhary also claimed that Abdul Rauf was a preacher and a member of the
Pakistan Markazi Muslim League
(PMML) party.
Press Information Bureau's fact-check unit exposed Pakistan's another lie and said that the identity details shared by DG ISPR completely overlap with the details of Hafiz Abdur Rauf, a member of LeT's senior leadership since at least 1999 and part of the
US sanctions list
.

Earlier, India had pointed out Pakistan's connection to terrorism, citing a viral image of Rauf leading funeral prayers for LeT militants killed during Operation Sindoor, attended by senior Pakistani officials, with a wreath from Maryam Nawaz, Pakistan's Punjab's chief minister and prime minister Shehbaz Sharif's niece.

But Article 370 was abrogated, and it was finally put to an end," the Congress MP said. 'Subsequently, there was an election with 65 per cent participation in the election. There's an elected government in Kashmir today, and therefore, for people to want to undo everything that has happened, the prosperity that has come to Kashmir," he added. Don't hyphenate between India and Pakistan Another crucial message Khurshid shared in Indonesia is the demand not to hyphenate India and Pakistan. On Friday, Khurshid noted that India cannot be reduced to the 'size' and 'stature' of Pakistan. 'We are asked, why did we stop?… We are not Pakistan; we are much larger than they are. We have a greater role in the world… We got respect not only for our strengths but also for showing confidence in our strengths. We had to do certain things to teach Pakistan a lesson, and then we stopped because we are not greedy for Pakistan, their territory, or to destroy them,' he said during an interaction with the Indian community in Indonesia, ANI. 'We only want to preserve and protect ourselves… We want to lead the world. And in that leadership role, we cannot reduce ourselves to the size and stature of Pakistan… We don't want a hyphen between India and Pakistan… Talk to us separately… The beauty of our plural culture, the beauty of how we live together and celebrate life together, is something that we want to show… We are patriots. We believe in humanity. We believe in our country because our country is our mother,' he furthered. Colombia withdraws statement for Pakistan, will issue strong support for India: Shashi Tharoor
Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Friday (local time) said that Colombia will issue a statement of strong support for India's position after the country withdrew their statement condoling the deaths of Pakistanis in Indian strikes. Tharoor made the statement during the all-party delegation's visit to Tadeo Lozano University in Bogota, where the group also paid floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. We had some good news: They have withdrawn their statement that disappointed us earlier and will issue a statement of strong support for our position and understanding of our position. "We will say to our friends in Colombia, there can be no equivalence between those who dispatch terrorists and those who resist them. There can be no equivalence between those who attack and those who defend. We are only exercising our right of self-defence, and if there is any misunderstanding here, on this core, we are here to dispel any such misunderstanding", he added. While speaking with ANI on Friday, after the Indian delegation met with the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, Rosa Yolanda Villavicencio in Bogota, said that "we are very confident with the explanation that we received today and the detailed information that we now have regarding the real situation, the conflict, and what happened in Kashmir, we can also continue the dialogue..." Appreciating Colombian position on the matter after explaining India's view and position, Tharoor said that "The Vice Minister very graciously mentioned that they have withdrawn the statement that we had expressed concern about and that they fully understand our position on the matter, which is something we really value," says Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Colombia withdrawing its earlier statement to ANI.
