More arrests and further action have been taken as part of the operation.
It aims to tackle antisocial behaviour and violence within Cumbrian communities.
In a post on social media, Cumbria Police wrote: "Last month (January) saw more positive work from Operation Enhance officers.
"In January alone, the operation saw 17 stop and searches, 55 intel submissions from the public, and four arrests.
"The work is contributing to a reduction of more than 36 percent in ASB across the 18 hotspot areas.
"Op Enhance sees extra police patrols in areas identified as hotspots for anti-social behaviour and/or serious violence across the county.
"The operation has been made possible thanks to £1 million of extra funding secured by Cumbria's police, fire and crime commissioner from the Government's Hotspot Response Fund to target anti-social behaviour (ASB) and serious violence in hotspot areas across the county.
"The operation puts extra patrols in 18 areas identified by statistical analysis as the county's hotspot areas of anti-social behaviour and serious violence."
