Brazil Refuses to Move Climate Summit as Lodging Crisis Looms

This year's United Nations climate summit, scheduled for November in Brazil, has been designed to make history by bringing world leaders, diplomats and some 50,000 other participants into the heart of the Amazon rain forest. Now the event increasingly risks being defined by a looming logistical fiasco.
With fewer than 100 days to go, Brazil is under fire from countries concerned about a shortage of hotel rooms and soaring accommodation costs in Belém, the host city selected for its proximity to the rain forest rather than its tourism infrastructure. Brazil's secretariat for COP30, as the summit is known, postponed a meeting set for Wednesday to address lodging issues; no new date announced.

11 Wrinkle-free Travel Outfits That Look Polished Right Out of Your Suitcase—All Under $50

If you're anything like me, your pet peeve is wrinkled clothing—which is practically unavoidable when traveling. For the longest time, I would lug my trusty steamer to each destination I traveled to, which took up way too much valuable space in my carry-on. It wasn't until recently that I discovered a better, less bulky solution: Amazon's vast selection of wrinkle-free, travel-friendly clothing. I was able to find a two-piece set that won't crease on a long-haul flight, flowy linen-like pants that I can wear straight out of my suitcase, and tons of other pieces that don't require any ironing or steaming, as confirmed by five-star reviewers. If you, too, are tired of unpacking crumpled, wrinkled outfits from your suitcase, keep scrolling. I've rounded up 11 of the best wrinkle-free clothing items that Amazon has to offer right now, below. The best part? They're all under $50. Keep reading for my favorite budget-friendly, wrinkle-free finds, starting at just $13. This one-piece jumpsuit is an easy vacation outfit that you can wear on the plane, to the beach, or wherever else your adventure takes you. The ultra-soft, wrinkle-free material gives the stylish overalls a lightweight and breathable feel. They also have customizable features—like adjustable straps and easy-to-cuff pant legs—so you can tailor them to your height. One shopper raved, 'The fabric is so comfortable,' adding that it 'does not wrinkle easily.' A classic white tee is the backbone of every travel wardrobe, and this wrinkle-free option from Wiholl puts a fresh spin on the capsule closet staple. This loose-fitting top has fashion-forward accents like cap sleeves and extended arm holes, and is cut in a way that won't show your bra. 'The fabric feels high quality and has a smooth, structured look that resists wrinkles—even after being packed in a suitcase,' wrote one shopper. These wide-leg pants from Ewedoos have the look of dress pants, but are made with a stretchy, wrinkle-free material that 'feels like sweatpants.' These slacks are made with a soft, textured waffle fabric that gives the bottoms their comfortable feel. Bonus: They're available in petite sizes, which I especially appreciate as a five-foot-tall shopper. The name says it all:These straight-leg pants from Lee are truly wrinkle-free, making them a travel wardrobe must-have. These tailored dress pants feature a flexible waistband and are made with a stretchy material that won't feel stiff or constraining on flights, excursions, or walking tours. One reviewer gushed that the pants are 'very flattering and comfy,' and said, 'It's always a hit or miss on how things will fit from offline, but these are amazing.' Similarly, this button-down shirt's biggest selling point is its wrinkle-free capabilities. This classic striped shirt comes in a whopping 32 colors, so there are countless options to choose from. One Amazon shopper wrote, 'I'm not a fan of ironing, so this meets my needs well,' adding that the fabric is soft 'straight from the package.' Right now, you can snag the effortlessly chic piece for 35 percent off, bringing the price down to just $19. This breezy maxi dress from Anrabess is an elevated, throw-on-and-go alternative to leggings and a T-shirt while traveling, and it's just as comfortable. This tiered, flowy dress is airy and breathable, and it has two convenient side pockets for stashing your essentials. Pair it with sneakers for an effortless daytime outfit to wear on the plane, or add heels and a cropped jacket for the perfect night out look. Whether you're hitting the trails, catching a flight, or running errands, these wrinkle-free, moisture-wicking pants are a fit for any occasion. This No.1 Amazon bestseller has thoughtful details, including an adjustable elastic waistband, deep side pockets, and a 7/8 length that hits just above the ankles, preventing the bottoms from dragging on the floor. 'The fabric is lightweight and silky, and they pack well for travel with no wrinkles,' raved one shopper. Amazon's top-selling two-piece set is truly a traveler's dream. The sleeveless mock neck top and cropped, wide-leg pants are crafted from an ultra-soft, wrinkle-free material that won't crease during a long-haul flight, so you can walk off the plane feeling polished and put together. One Amazon shopper wrote, 'I had this outfit on for 18 straight hours and it did not wrinkle,' while another reviewer agreed that the 'insanely soft' fabric 'doesn't wrinkle at all.' Finding a comfortable hiking outfit for the beginning of fall can be tricky;he mornings are typically chilly and the temperatures begin to spike in the afternoon. But this long-sleeved, breathable top will keep you comfortable from sun-up to sundown. The material is soft, quick-drying, and offers UPF 50+ sun protection, and according to one shopper, it stays 'wrinkle-free,' even after washing and drying. Whether you're on vacation or at home, this little black dress is a piece you'll reach for again and again. It has a flowy, loose-fitting silhouette that's made of a slightly stretchy spandex blend fabric that's 'seriously soft,' according to one five-star reviewer. But the subtle contrast stitching detail along the neckline and sleeves is what sets this simple dress apart from other styles. However, if your closet is stuffed to the brim with black dresses—like mine is—it also comes in 13 other colors and patterns. The warm-weather season may be coming to a close, but there's still plenty of time to make use of a pair of breezy palazzo pants, especially if you have an end-of-summer beach getaway planned. These flowy bottoms from Duyang 'don't wrinkle easily,' according to reviewers, so you can pull them straight out of your carry-on, throw them on over your swimsuit, and waste no time getting to the beach. I Found the Comfiest Airplane Outfits at Amazon This Weekend—Styles Start at $31

A comfy airplane outfit is nonnegotiable when I travel, especially when it comes to long-haul flights. But as a fashion writer, I always make sure I feel as stylish as I am comfortable. Amazon has recently become my go-to for travel-ready outfits that are on trend, cozy, and stretchy enough to move around in. Whether it's a two-piece set or even a maxi dress, Amazon is stocked with affordable options that I can't help but add to my cart. I've rounded up the nine best comfy airplane outfits on Amazon that are cozy enough to sleep in while staying on trend during a flight. Whether you're fitting in one more trip before the summer ends or gearing up for fall travel, these comfy outfits work for every situation, and options start at $31. This two-piece knit travel set proves that comfort and style can coexist. Plus, the coffee brown shade is perfect for any fall travel you might have coming up. The set includes a cuffed short-sleeve top and wide-leg matching bottoms for a casual yet stylish look. It's also travel-approved, with one shopper noting the set was 'comfortable [during] an 8-hour plane ride.' Effortlessly cool is the best way to describe this two-piece travel outfit. The chic apricot set features a sleeveless top and coordinating wide-leg track pants. In fact, it's so stylish that you could easily wear this set from the airport to dinner. One reviewer wrote that after wearing it comfortably during a full day of air travel, 'I wore it out to a casual dinner after my flight' instead of changing into another outfit. Shoppers describe this set as 'great for travel' and 'comfortable enough to sleep in.' What more could you ask for in a travel outfit? The cozy two-piece 'fit comes in a soft (and stylish) ribbed material, so don't be surprised if you turn a few heads in the airport. Plus, the quarter-zip sweatshirt features a convenient kangaroo-style pocket, and the jogger-style pants have an adjustable drawstring for an adjustable fit. Never underestimate the power of a good basic set. The T-shirt and joggers are made of lightweight fabric, which one reviewer said is 'perfect for traveling.' If classic black isn't your style, not to worry. The set comes in 40 color options, so you have plenty of hues to choose from. When it comes to comfy outfits, this knit set is clearly a shopper-favorite. This two-piece includes a ribbed knit cropped top and tapered knit pants. The ultrachic khaki shade looks fit for a first-class lounge, but the soft material gives it a luxuriously cozy feeling. Get ready to curl up mid-flight in this comfy two-piece lounge set. Between the quarter-zip sweatshirt and the high-waisted, wide-leg pants, this option guarantees comfort. Pair it with white sneakers for a sporty look, and your airplane outfit is ready for takeoff. Most sets on Amazon come with two pieces, so this three-piece lounge set is an instant attention-getter. The set includes a long-sleeve, lightweight cardigan, a tank top with cinched side detailing, and a pair of high-waisted lounge pants. Whether you wear it altogether or mix and match, each piece makes for a comfortable travel experience. For a more elevated take on a comfy airplane outfit, consider this trendy two-piece set. The short-sleeve, button-down top and flowy, wide-leg pants can easily be dressed up or down, so you can wear them to travel one day and to sightsee the next. Plus, the airy, breathable material is ideal if you run warm on flights. An easy-to-wear dress is another great airplane outfit option. This maxi dress is breathable and lightweight, and it will make you feel a bit more dressed up on the plane. Pair it with slip-on sneakers to breeze through TSA, and remember to have a cardigan or sweater on hand in case you get chilly during flights. Love a great deal? My Favorite Comfy Travel Dress Sold Out Fast—but I'm Adding This $30 Lookalike at Amazon to My Cart Instead

There's always that one piece you end up living in on a trip—something you toss into your suitcase without much thought, wear once, and then reach for again and again. For me, on a recent week in Paris, it was a $20 ribbed maxi dress from Old Navy. I packed it at the very last minute with zero expectations, but it quickly became the most-worn thing I've bought all summer. It's incredibly comfortable (nap-on-a-plane level cozy) and deceptively versatile in that elusive, throw-it-on-and-go way. And I'm not the only one who's smitten—while the Old Navy version has completely sold out, I found a lookalike at Amazon that's equally as comfortable and stylish. I especially appreciated the lightweight construction, with just the right amount of stretch—cozy enough to rival loungewear, yet with enough structure to maintain its shape after a full day (and night). I wore it with sneakers and a white denim jacket for long walks through the Tuileries and along the Seine. At night, I'd swap in wedges, add chunky jewelry, and swipe on some lipstick, et voila: a brand-new look in almost no time. One evening, we went straight from shopping along the Champs-Élysées to dinner, then over to the Eiffel Tower to catch the sparkling lights—no time to change, but the dress rose to the occasion. What really stood out was how effortless it made getting dressed feel—no small feat in Paris, where even a quick coffee run can feel like a runway moment. This timeless frock struck the perfect balance between comfort and polish. I never had to overthink it: I'd throw it on, head out the door, and somehow always look put-together. It's one of those rare unicorn pieces that feels far more expensive than it is—and works twice as hard. I loved it so much I bought it in two colors—black and brown—though I gravitate toward the brown since it pairs with everything and feels endlessly versatile. While the Old Navy version has sold out, the Amazon lookalike comes in a spectrum of shades, from lavender to rose pink to classic white. At this price, it's hard not to resist grabbing a few more. There's one caveat: at 5-foot-3, I find maxi dresses tend to run a bit long—especially with sneakers or flats. If you're a petite traveler, it might be worth getting the hem taken up. It's a small adjustment for a dress that otherwise punches well above its wallet-friendly price tag. Shoppers call this the 'best travel dress ever,' with one saying it kept them warm on the airplane and that they 'would buy it in every color.' Another chimed in: 'I bought this for a vacation and it's going to be perfect to wear and easy to pack.' Since the trip, I've worn the dress dozens of times—at least twice a week, if not more. As a busy mom of twins, I don't have the time (or energy) to overthink outfits in the morning, but I still like to feel polished and presentable. This dress checks both boxes: it's easy, comfortable, and somehow always looks like I've put in an effort. For sleek travel dresses at equally affordable prices, shop these Amazon picks and thank me later. Whether you're headed to the office or out for dinner with friends, this collared ribbed maxi nods to preppy style with its contrast trim, lapel neckline, and pleated fishtail hem. The lightweight knit keeps things breathable, even on hot days. If you prefer a frock with sleeves, look no further than this maxi dress, which features a breezy side slit that's equal parts stylish and practical for keeping cool. The soft, stretchy fabric moves with you instead of restricting, making it an easy go-to for everything from beach vacations to urban adventures. This Wenrine pick stands out for its contrast seams, which add a graphic edge to an otherwise minimalist silhouette. The ribbed knit fabric offers just the right amount of stretch, too. For a shorter option, this ribbed midi from The Drop taps into the trend without the extra length. Its sleek silhouette—complete with a side slit for extra flair—makes it an easy pick for day-to-night dressing. Additionally, it comes in a dozen colorways and sizes ranging from XXS to 5X, making it one of the most inclusive options in terms of size and style on the list. With its square neckline and contrast trim, this ribbed maxi offers a contemporary take on the classic silhouette. The strappy, form-fitting design is versatile, making it a reliable choice for everything from weekend plans to vacation nights. Love a great deal?
