Rescuers believe the couple died after losing control of their vehicle while driving through rough terrain in the mountains near Trout Lake in British Colombia, Canada.
But a few days earlier, the pair shared a video on their YouTube channel that would serve as their haunting swansong.
Titled "VANCOUVER ISLAND | The Off-Road Version", the hour-long video shows them putting Toyota trucks through an "ultimate test" in the rough terrain.
The video shows them camping out in the stunning Canadian scenery while testing their trucks on the rocky trail.
Heartbroken fans in the comments section have paid tribute to the influencer couple.
One user said: "I'm in absolute shock hearing that these two beautiful souls are no longer with us.
"My condolences to not only their family and friends, but also viewers that appreciated them, their projects, and their adventures."
Another commented: "We wished this episode would have lasted forever, as it meant we'd never have to truly say goodbye.
"We didn't get the chance to meet you, but you gave more inspiration than you knew.
"Hope you're on an amazing trail leading to an even better campsite. Rest easy to the coolest people we never met."
Popular influencer couple killed in horror off-road crash in 'the beautiful mountains they loved so much' in Canada
News of the couple's passing was shared on social media by friends and family - and was also confirmed by Kaslo Search and Rescue.
Kaslo SAR manager Mark Jennings-Bates said rescuers were called to an off-road motor vehicle incident around 7:30pm local time on August 7.
He said: "So it was on a forestry road, somewhere in the mountains, and quite a long ways north in the valley up towards [...] the village of Trout Lake.
"Our teams were able to get to them efficiently.
"It's a long journey, but they got there efficiently. So that was very, very helpful.
"And of course that means that the helicopter pilot could also fly straight to the destination with confidence that he was going to find them."
He added that one occupant of the vehicle was dead when they arrived at the scene, while the other later passed away in hospital.
The precise cause of the crash remains unknown, but the working theory is that the vehicle lost control on rough terrain.
Tourout's mother Colleen paid tribute in a heartwrenching Facebook post.
She wrote: "With unimaginable heartache, the families of Matthew Peter Yeomans and Stacey Tourout would like to advise that we lost them both tragically succumbing to injuries in an offroad accident on Aug 7, 2025 in the beautiful mountains of British Columbia that they loved so much.
"Please keep us and them in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this devastating end to an amazing Love Story.
"They are together forever as we knew they would always be."

Canadian entrepreneur Eric Perez assumed control of the club in November 2023 as part of the Ontario Inc consortium. Truro clinched the National League South crown in April this year during the new ownership's maiden full campaign at the club. By doing so, they became the first Cornish side to secure promotion to non-league's highest division, with Perez believing that makes their achievements more significant than Wrexham's. "I think what we're doing is even more special than what they've done," Perez told BBC Radio Cornwall. "There are, at the end of the day, five league clubs from Wales. There's only one club in Cornwall that's even close to the Football League. If we could get there, it would be something that would change Cornwall forever. "It would weave a patch into the cultural tapestry of a place that has been alive and vibrant for 3,000 years. To be able to do something like that is, to me, what life is all about, so I actually feel like this is bigger than Wrexham could ever be." Alongside securing triumph on the field, Perez and Truro's other backers have been working hard to enhance the club's facilities. A new stadium was constructed on the city's outskirts approximately 12 months ago to stage the side's fixtures, with additional development occurring this summer. In contrast to Reynolds and Mac, Perez brings prior expertise in managing sporting organisations, having previously owned Cornwall's rugby league outfit and maintained connections with Toronto Wolfpack. Whilst Wrexham's remarkable rise may have captured King Charles's interest, prompting his visit to the Racecourse Ground in December 2022, Truro boast their own royal fan. Perez said: "It's just been such a journey. I remember when we first took over the club and we set out some goals, no-one really paid attention. I think everyone's paying attention now, because we are really on the cusp of something huge here playing our first home National League match. "It's been a super hectic off-season. First of all, we've had a stadium renovation that we've done, building a new main stand to accommodate what is now the requirements for this league. Then obviously transitioning the club from hybrid to full-time professional, that's been massive." Whether Truro can emulate Wrexham's success is yet to be seen. When Steve proposed to Marley on January 1, 2025, on an ice rink in Boise, Idaho, surrounded by their family and friends, the pair got straight to planning their special day. But, after discovering the cost of weddings, an average of $35,000 in the US and £23,700 in the UK, the couple made the unconventional decision to charge guests to attend their nuptials. The idea initially began as a joke, but they warmed up to the idea when they realised they'd be able to have the party they wanted. In fact, the tickets were publicly available online and the bride announced on TikTok that anyone could pay to attend if they wished – even strangers. Marley Jaxx, 34, and her husband Steve Larsen, 37, gave guests the option of paying £42 each to attend the actual wedding day, or £735 for a three-day experience. 'We decided to charge because we started making a big list of everyone who we wanted to come, we were paying per head, and wanted a big party but the cost kept getting higher and higher,' Steve, an entrepreneur from Boise, explains. 'We said instead of people getting us a gift, or donating to a honeymoon fund – pay for your meal, and you can come party with us. 'It was never about what we could afford.' Despite initial hesitations, 300 guests attended, covering the £36,894 cost of the shindig, which took place on August 1. The celebrations featured brass players, an outside ceremony, a three tier cake and fire displays. 'The people who were at the wedding wanted to be there,' Marley says. 'Guests were commenting on how peaceful it was. It changed the feeling of the wedding. 'I thought it would be stressful, but it was peaceful. One of the guests said when people get a wedding invitation, there is an obligation to go. 'But when you choose to pay, it is a different feeling – it shows how much they appreciate you.' The newlyweds also managed to raise £97,807 to be donated to the charity Village Impact, which provides community-led education, leadership, and economic opportunities in Kenya. The couple say the opportunities for guests to donate were through bracelets made by kids in Kenya, a silent auction with art from Ugandan artists, and even a few guests committing to join them on their trip to Africa to build the school in July 2026. The two actors have turned the North Wales outfit from National League nearly men to a Championship team with ambitions of reaching the Premier League in the near future. However, the owner of National League side Truro City has now claimed their rise is "bigger" and "more special" than Wrexham's. Canadian businessman Eric Perez took over the club in November 2023 as part of the Ontario Inc consortium. Truro won the National League South title in April this year during the new owners' first full season at the helm. In doing so, they became the first club from Cornwall to gain promotion to the non-league's top tier, and Perez thinks that makes their accomplishments more notable than Wrexham's.
