The Yankees are currently teeing off on the Boston Red Sox in the first game of a three-game set in the Bronx Friday, with three hits from Aaron Judge and a three-run home run by Jazz Chisholm Jr propelling the Bombers to a 8-1 start.

Shortstop Anthony Volpe was among the batters to have a standout moment, with his two-run home run in the first giving the Yankees a 5-0 lead off of former Dodgers pitcher Walker Buehler.
Volpe was promptly hit on the elbow by a pitch from Buehler in the second inning, and exited as a 'precautionary' measure.
At time of writing, a new update has come in on Volpe from the Yankees.

The former Yankees top prospect left with an elbow contusion, according to MLB.com's Bryan Hoch, and the team is in the process of conducting X-rays and CT scans to determine the nature and severity of the injury.
While Volpe was examined by head trainer Tim Lentych, manager Aaron Boone walked out of the huddle in a move that didn't strike too much concern, though the Yankees clearly didn't want Volpe to suffer a further injury.

Volpe's home run in the first inning was just his third home run since May 12th, and his offense has improved notably.
His 20.7% chase rate is in the 90th percentile in baseball, and his .300 batting average and .786 OPS with the bases loaded have been massive for the Yankees in the midst of their pennant chase.
