Minister of Culture meets with Member of European Parliament Hana Jalloul
Minister of Culture Ghassan Salameh met in his office at the National Library-Sanayeh with Member of the European Parliament and Vice-Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Hana Jalloul. Jalloul explained in a statement that "the meeting discussed the general situation and Lebanon's relationship with the European Union, particularly with regard to cultural affairs." She said, "I was honored to meet with Minister Salamé, and it was a fruitful meeting during which we discussed a number of cultural issues." She added, "We are optimistic about the presence of this government, which represents a beacon of hope for Lebanon and the Lebanese, and we are confident that positive changes will take place for Lebanon and its people."

Minister of Culture discusses cooperation with Chinese Ambassador
Minister of Culture Ghassan Salameh received the new Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon, Chen Chuandong, in his office at the Sanayeh National Library. This formal visit provided an opportunity to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly cultural relations, according to the ambassador's statement following the meeting. He added: "We discussed modalities of cooperation between China and Lebanon in cultural matters and the dialogue of civilizations, especially since the two countries share an ancient civilization, which facilitates the implementation of joint projects. I also briefed the minister on the ongoing work in Dbayeh, where the new conservatory is under construction."
