The latest in the Micah Parsons contract drama spells good and bad news for Cowboys fans.
Parsons has yet to strike a deal with Dallas on a potentially record-breaking extension, but the superstar pass rusher assured fans he'll be attending next week's mandatory mini-camp nonetheless.
'I will be there!' Parsons posted on X on Tuesday. 'I haven't missed a mini camp in 4 years! Even though the contract is not done, I have teammates and a playbook! I'm preparing as if I will be on the field the first week of camp! But it's in the owner's hands. I'm ready to win a Super Bowl!'

The post backed up Dallas' first-time head coach Brian Schottenheimer, who voiced his confidence earlier in the day Tuesday that Parsons would be in attendance for the minicamp running from from June 10-12.
'I would assume,' Schottenheimer said. 'Micah and I talked a couple of days ago. He's doing a little bit of traveling but again, everything that he and I talked about, I expect that he will be here. I say Micah and I have had great communication and everything that I've asked him to do and vice versa, he's followed through on so, I expect to see him.'

Parsons had been in and out of the Cowboys' voluntary OTAs over the last few weeks.
The 26-year-old is entering the fifth and final year of his rookie contract, and is set to make a fully guaranteed $24 million in 2025.
But an extension would secure the four-time Pro-Bowler and two-time All-Pro an enormous raise, although, as Parsons said, owner Jerry Jones would have to approve such a move.

In his four seasons with Dallas, Parsons has notched the stats to justify such a pay bump.
He tallied a total of 52.5 sacks and 63 tackles for loss (TfL) – including 12 sacks and 12 TFL in 13 games last season.
