Erbil - SABA:
President of the General Wrestling Federation, Abdullah Al-Maghribi, has been elected as the First Vice President and Head of the Technical Committee of the West Asia Wrestling Federation, following his participation in the General Assembly meeting held in Erbil, Iraq.
Previously, Al-Maghribi secured a seat in the Executive Office of the Asian Wrestling Federation in Kazakhstan in 2021, making it the highest international position held by a Yemeni sports official.
Al-Maghribi expressed his appreciation for being elected, viewing it as a testament to the progress of wrestling in Yemen and the achievements of Yemeni athletes, who have won numerous medals in international competitions.
He affirmed his commitment to serving Yemeni sports and further developing wrestling both locally and internationally.
