Woffinden back on bike for first time after crash
The 34-year-old, from Scunthorpe, was placed into a medically induced coma in March after he hit a fence behind a protective barrier during a race.
In a video posted to social media, Woffinden is shown at an empty Olympic Stadium, Wroclaw, before riding around the track.
The Sheffield Tigers' rider wrote: "The last four months have been the biggest challenge of my life, but like I do with everything, I get knocked down, get straight back up and keep on charging."
He added: "All eyes on 2026".
The return to the bike came four weeks after Woffinden admitted he was unsure if he would ride again.
Woffinden was airlifted to hospital, underwent surgery and was placed into a medically induced coma after a crash involving his Rzeszow teammate on 30 March.
He later revealed he had suffered a double break in his right leg, a broken back, broken shoulder, multiple broken ribs, a punctured lung, fractured arm and extensive blood loss.
Woffinden is Great Britain's most decorated rider after winning Grand Prix world titles in 2013, 2015 and 2018. He also finished runner-up in 2016 and 2020.

Big men Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively II also missed big chunks of the season. In Irving's absence, Davis is expected to take on a huge workload on both ends of the floor. He'll have help from the highly anticipated rookie Cooper Flagg, whom the Mavericks drafted after getting fortunate in the draft lottery and landing the No. 1 overall pick.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder was stretchered off in pain after colliding with Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma as his team lost 2-0 to Paris Saint-Germain in the quarterfinals this month. 'Jamal still has crutches but the process is very, very positive,' Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl said Thursday at an event to present new signing Luis Díaz. Eberl added that the club expects Musiala could return around the same time as wing back Alphonso Davies. The Canadian player has been out since sustaining a severe knee ligament injury with his national team in March, but Eberl said he had his 'first exercises on the field' Thursday.
