‘Good Morning America' Personalities To Serve As ‘GMA3' Hosts After DeMarco Morgan And Eva Pilgrim Exits
Pilgrim is exiting for a new gig as host of Inside Edition. Morgan 'has decided to begin a new journey and will be departing ABC News,' ABC News president Almin Karamehmedovic wrote in a memo to staffers.

The immediate plan is for the show to continue what it has been doing in recent weeks, with members of the Good Morning America 'extended family' of personalities taking hosting duties on the show. They have included figures such as Lara Spencer, Will Reeve, Gio Benitez, Sam Champion, Rachel Scott and James Longman. Status newsletter first reported on the exit of the two GMA3 hosts.
Last year, Karamehmedovic announced a cost-cutting restructuring of the news division that saw the exit of Cat McKenzie as executive producer, with Simone Swink, executive producer of Good Morning America, taking over supervision of the show. The strategy has been to capitalize on the viewer familiarity with Good Morning America in the GMA3 hour.
GMA3 has gone through a number of host and format changes through the years. It started as GMA Day in 2018, hosted by Michael Strahan and Sara Haines. During Covid, it focused on the pandemic with the title What You Need to Know, and later evolved into GMA: What You Need to Know.
Morgan and Pilgrim have hosted the show since 2023, when they, along with Jennifer Ashton, succeeded Amy Robach and TJ Holmes. Ashton departed the network last year.

Dick's Creates In-house Studio to Create Sports Films
Dick's Sporting Goods is getting into the sports content business. The Pittsburgh-based retailer has launched Cookie Jar & A Dream Studios, an in-house content and production studio 'dedicated to telling powerful, human-centered stories through the lens of sport,' the company said Thursday. More from WWD Johnnie-O to Create Fan Gear for NFL Through New Licensing Deal Senator Warren to FTC: Block Dick's Sporting Goods' $2.4 Billion Foot Locker Acquisition EXCLUSIVE: Glamnetic and Fanatics Create Nail Sets Inspired by NFL, NCAA and MLB Teams The goal for the studio is to offer storytelling that will highlight the determination, triumphs and heartbreaks of sports. Although the studio is new, the retailer has been dabbling in sports storytelling for more than a decade. In 2014, it debuted its first documentary feature, 'We Could Be King,' which won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Sports Documentary. This past spring, the company picked up a second Emmy for 'The Turnaround,' a documentary that tells the story of Philadelphia Phillies' superfan Jon McCann. Over the past 10 years Dick's has produced five feature-length films and 10 short-form or episodic documentaries, with additional projects in the hopper. 'Dick's believes that sports have the power to change lives,' said Mark Rooks, vice president of creative, entertainment and sponsorships at Dick's. 'And we've seen through our work how true that is for so many who have excelled, triumphed against the odds, and been defeated in sport. There are so many incredible and inspiring human stories that deserve to be told, and we could not be more excited to showcase how individuals, teams and communities are shaping sport, bringing people together and unifying and building communities for thousands.' The official announcement of Cookie Jar & A Dream Studios coincides with the premiere of 'Big Dreams: The Little League World Series 2024' documentary. Produced in partnership with Imagine Entertainment and MLB Studios, the film will premiere on Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. ''Big Dreams ' is a great example of the kind of projects Cookie Jar & A Dream Studios aims to produce,' said Rebecca Covington, senior director of creative production at Dick's. 'Being able to share big sports moments with fans is something that drives our team, and we look at the upcoming years with great excitement as we know there will be so many unforgettable stories deserving of the spotlight.' The name of the studio derives from the history of Dick's, which was founded in 1948 by 18-year-old Dick Stack, who borrowed $300 from his grandmother's cookie jar to open a small bait-and-tackle shop in Binghamton, N.Y. Today, the company is the largest sports retailer in the U.S. with more than 850 stores under the Dick's Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, Public Lands and Going Going Gone nameplates. Kelly Clarkson postpones Las Vegas residency due to ex-husband Brandon Blackstock's illness: What we know
The singer announced that the remaining August dates of her 'Studio Sessions' shows at Caesars Palace will be postponed while she tends to her family. Kelly Clarkson says she is postponing her Las Vegas residency so she can be with her children because their father, her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, has been ill. 'Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,' Clarkson announced in a post on Instagram. 'While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.' The nature of Blackstock's illness was not disclosed. Clarkson added: 'I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.' The 'Since U Been Gone' singer's remaining shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace this month had been scheduled for Aug. 8-9 and Aug. 15-16. Her next run at the 4,100-capacity venue, which was previously announced, is set for November. According to Caesars Palace, ticket holders for the postponed dates can hold on to their tickets for rescheduled shows in 2026 or opt for a refund. According to Ticketmaster, Clarkson has six dates at Caesars scheduled for July and August 2026. Clarkson, 43, and Blackstock, 48, married in 2013. The couple announced their split in 2020, and their divorce was finalized in 2022. The American Idol alum and music manager have two children: River Rose, their 11-year-old daughter, and Remy Alexander, their 9-year-old son. Postponements and absences This is the second postponement of Clarkson's residency, which opened in July. The first show was abruptly postponed just hours before she was set to take the stage after the singer said that she needed to rest her vocal cords. "The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice," Clarkson wrote on Instagram on July 4. "I want the shows to be perfect for y'all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.' In March, Clarkson stepped away from her eponymous daytime talk show for nearly two weeks while a variety of celebrities acted as guest hosts. When Clarkson returned, she cited only 'personal reasons' for her mysterious absence, which stirred speculation among fans that it could have something to do with Blackstock. News Nation subsequently reported that Blackstock was sick and that Clarkson skipped show tapings to take their children to see him. Solve the daily Crossword
