Tales and Folklore with Fran O'Boyle at Culley's Bar
Fermanagh Yarn Spinners is keeping the spoken storytelling tradition alive with another exciting night of tales and fables in Culley's Bar, Enniskillen, at 7.30pm on Monday, 23 June.
Their next guest is Fran O'Boyle, a professional storyteller who has entertained audiences in schools, festivals, museums, and libraries all over Ireland and the United Kingdom.
Mr. O'Boyle specialises in re-telling traditional stories from the Anglo and Welsh borders, where he lived for many years. He is currently based in Donegal with Glens of Antrim roots.
Currently, Mr. O'Boyle is undertaking research into the rich folklore and captivating tales of northwest Donegal. He will bring his professional storytelling skills and deep knowledge of folklore to Fermanagh.
Hosted by Fermanagh Yarn Spinners, this monthly storytelling evening offers a warm and creative space where people can listen, share, and enjoy spoken stories.

Dennis and Mac pose as paramedics, with Mac aggressively 'helping' a choking man in the most Mac way possible. It's classic Sunny misbehavior, blending absurd disguises with a complete lack of regard for public safety or common decency. Familiar faces are making returns as well including Rickety Cricket, this time with dreadlocks, along with Uncle Jack and the eternally tormented Waitress. Dee, meanwhile, seems to be diving headfirst into the season's most physical comedy as she clings to the back of a speeding car while bleeding profusely. And if you ever wondered what a slapping competition at Paddy's Pub might look like, Season 17 is ready to deliver. Somehow, after nearly two decades, Always Sunny is still finding new ways to be creatively unhinged, and I love it!

This year marks the 67th anniversary of Alfred Hitchcock's acclaimed film Vertigo, which some say is one of the best movies of all time and certainly one of the English film director's masterworks. And this anniversary year ushers in some exciting celebrations honoring the psychological thriller and its stars, including James Stewart and Kim Novak, among other well-known actors of that era. Next up is the Vertigo67: Fourth International Film Conference, which will be held at Trinity College Dublin. Slated for August 13 – 15, the event will include presentations by international scholars and artists, and a special screening of the movie will take place at the Lighthouse Cinema. Visconti Pens As Objects of Creativity Visconti Hitchcock Vertigo fountain pen.
