Bollywood
's original nawab,
Saif Ali Khan
, is back in action—and this time, he's taking audiences on a high-stakes thrill ride with the upcoming thriller '
Jewel Thief
: The Heist Begins.' Speaking about the same in an exclusive conversation with us, Saif said, "'Jewel Thief' is a fun caper, filled with double-crosses and classic heist elements! It has scale and pace, and it should be a really enjoyable ride. I've always loved the part—it's a father-son drama at its core, which gives it an emotional foundation amidst all the action."
In this project, the 'Jaane Jaan' fame star
Jaideep Ahlawat
, will also be seen playing an equally pivotal role. Sharing his experience of working with Jaideep, Saif said, 'Jaideep is perhaps the most impressive actor I have worked with in recent times. He's incredibly skilled, and I have learned a lot from him during our time together on set.'
'Jewel Thief' also reunites Saif with
Siddharth Anand
, with whom he has worked in films like 'Ta Ra Rum Pum' and 'Salaam Namaste.' Weighing in on the same, the actor said, 'Sid is a big movie-maker. So it was a lot of fun to team up with him again. Back then, we were doing those very stylish rom-coms that still hold up and remain very cool. He always wanted to explore action. He tried to resist it for a while, but eventually, he couldn't help putting a bit of himself into this genre. It's exciting to see how he's evolved.'
Further, this isn't Saif's first OTT stunt; people still shower love on him for his 'Sacred Games.' The actor feels that OTT as a platform 'has been evolving constantly. I think it's now trying to become more accessible to the Indian mindset—more commercial, more grounded. When we did *Sacred Games*, it was a show that people aspired to watch.
'With 'Jewel Thief', we're making it more straightforward, but still retaining scale and style,' he concluded.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui slams streaming platforms for prioritizing profit over art: 'Baazar toh ban hi gaya'

Nawazuddin Siddiqui criticized streaming platforms for prioritizing profits over creativity, calling them marketplaces. He warned that overemphasizing commercial aspects harms art. Recently, Anurag Kashyap called Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos 'the definition of dumb,' sparking mixed reactions, including a subtle jab from Ekta Kapoor referencing Kashyap's 'saas-bahu' remark. Nawazuddin Siddiqui has frequently voiced his concerns about the Hindi film industry's shortcomings. Recently, he also took aim at streaming services, accusing them of putting business and profits ahead of creativity and artistic quality. According to him, these platforms have turned into commercial hubs, losing sight of true artistic values. Streaming Platforms Turning into Marketplaces Talking to SCREEN, Siddiqui said, 'Irrespective of any platform or any process, it starts out as great and then turns into a market. Baazar toh ban hi gaya hai. Studios in India keep saying we need 'commercial' qualities attached to every project. I don't agree with that. If the product is of a certain quality, then the commercial aspect eventually gets attached to it organically.' The Harm of Overemphasizing Commercial Aspects He explained that placing too much emphasis on the commercial side of art can cause significant harm. Over time, projects that begin with great passion often end up becoming purely business ventures. In this 2-hour 19-minute movie, killer is similar to Sonam Raghuvanshi, kills husband, climax will leave you in SHOCK; Film is…, lead actors are…

The whole nation has been shocked by the brutal killing of Indore businessman Raja Raghuwanshi during his honeymoon with wife Sonam Raghuvanshi in the hills of Meghalaya. The entire incident is nothing short of a crime series. As per reports, Sonam has been arrested along with her alleged lover, Raj Kushwaha, who has been accused by the Meghalaya police of orchestrating Raja's murder. With each emerging detail, the story is taking more twisted turns. The real story is similar to the reel story. A 2-hour 19-minute murder mystery crime thriller was released in 2023, where the heroine killed his husband with the help of his lover, just like the 'operation honeymoon'. The movie Jaane Jaan features Kareena Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Verma in lead roles, and the story is of a small place, Kalimpong, West Bengal, where Kareena runs a bakery and lives with her little daughter. Kareena lives separately from her husband. Her neighbour Naren is a brilliant mathematics teacher. He secretly loves Maya, i.e. Kareena. One day Kareena's husband, from whom she has been living away for years, comes home drunk. There is a fight between the two in which Kareena kills her husband. Then Naren helps to dispose of his body and also plots the cover-up step by step. Police inspector Karan Anand (played by Vijay Verma) solves the case with his charm and intelligence, but the climax will hit you hard. It's a well-structured screenplay. Writer and filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh attempted to fulfil the requirements by choosing the right cast. This Netflix thriller marked the digital debut of Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor. What happened with Raja Raghuvanshi? Sonam Raghuwanshi and Raja Raghuvanshi got married on May 11 and went for their honeymoon in Meghalaya just days later. On May 23, the couple went missing, prompting search operations for both of them. However, on June 2, Raja's body was recovered in a gorge near Weisawdong Falls in the East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya.

Ted on Sacred Games Our very first Indian original show was Sacred Games. And I thought, 'This is going to be great. People in India love movies. This is a TV show that feels as big as a movie, it has movie stars.' What's interesting about it is that it was very, very novel, but what I didn't understand was that we were introducing a brand new kind of entertainment in a country the size of India. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD On Heeramandi Heeramandi was probably one of the most creatively interesting projects I've worked on in India. I was involved in the greenlighting meetings for it. He (Sanjay Leela Bhansali) came to LA to do the pitch. He came in with this very big vision. Honestly, it almost felt like a dare—like he was saying, 'I dare you to make this; it's so big. He's a legend of cinema, so the idea of him making a TV Show was unheard of. I thought he came for us to say no. And then, when we said yes, there were lots of delays. It was a complicated production.
