Kyle Wilson-Taylor, seen here with Frankie Dettori, is the second jockey at the centre of the investigation
Group 1-winning superstar Noel Callow, who has won more than £22million in his career, was involved.
As was fellow top level-winning rider Kyle Wilson-Taylor, report Racenet.
Their scrap was said to have erupted during a heated argument after a race at Doomben in Australia on Wednesday.
Kim Kelly, Deputy Commissioner for the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission, said: "I can confirm that a stewards' enquiry has been opened into a physical altercation between two riders at the Doomben race meeting.
"A considerable body of evidence has been taken and the matter was adjourned to a date to be fixed to allow a rider who was taken from the course for medical treatment to give evidence."
Racenet report that Wilson-Taylor, 25, insisted he did not start the fight.
'King' Callow, 49, who became an Uber driver during one break from the sport, has been stood down for medical reasons.
It is believed that Wilson-Taylor is fit and well enough to continue riding pending the outcome of the probe.
It is not clear what did or didn't happen in the race to spark the scrap.
And any punishments will have to wait until the investigation is concluded.
Callow is one of the biggest names in Australian racing - but his career has been a series of ups and downs.
Amid a series of bans he banged in five Group 1 wins and enjoyed a lucrative and prolific stint in Singapore.
Wilson-Taylor is at the opposite end of the racing spectrum in that he is continuing to make a name for himself on the big stage.
But his big breakthrough came in the 2023 Tatt's Tiara aboard Palaisipan, a victory worth just shy of £250,000.
Fights breaking out between jockeys, while they don't happen often, are nothing new.

Several people arrested in Bali on drugs charges that could carry death penalty

The move comes after three British nationals accused of smuggling nearly a kilogram of cocaine into Indonesia were charged on Tuesday in a court on Bali. Customs officers at Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport arrested an Indian national with the initials HV, who was carrying a duffel bag, in the customs and excise inspection area on May 29. The officers found narcotic-related items in his belongings, authorities said. Following up on the interrogation of HV, later that day officers from the National Narcotics Agency of Bali Province arrested an Australian man with the initials PR, who has been visiting Bali since 1988. PR asked HV to bring the duffel bag from Los Angeles to Bali, said I Made Sinar Subawa, an official from the narcotics agency, at a news conference. During a search at a house where he stayed, officers found drugs in the form of hashish, a cannabis concentrate product, that belonged to PR and had been purchased over the Telegram messaging app. The hashish was shipped from Los Angeles and Philippines before finally being received in Bali, Mr Subawa said. Officers seized 191 grams of hashish along with some candies consisting of tetrahydrocannabinol, and 488 grams of marijuana. Both PR and HV are now suspected of dealing in narcotics, based on the evidence that was found with them, Mr Subawa said. 'PR is suspected of violating Indonesia's Narcotics Law which carries the death penalty, life imprisonment, or imprisonment for a minimum of four years and a maximum of 12 years,' said Mr Subawa. Along with HV and PR, the agency also arrested WM, an American, on May 23 while he was collecting a package from a post office in Bali. An officer opened the package carried by WM and found seven pieces of silver packaging containing a total of 99 orange amphetamine pills and secured one white Apple iPhone. The agency, at a news conference in the city of Denpasar on Thursday, presented the evidence, including marijuana and hashish, seized from the suspects. All suspects will undergo legal proceedings in Indonesia, including trial and sentencing. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime says Indonesia is a major drug-smuggling hub despite having some of the strictest drug laws in the world, in part because international drug syndicates target its young population. The south-east Asian country has extremely strict drug laws, and convicted smugglers can face severe penalties, including the possibility of execution by firing squad. About 530 people, including 96 foreigners, are on death row in Indonesia, mostly for drug-related crimes, latest figures from the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections show. Indonesia's last executions, of an Indonesian and three foreigners, were carried out in July 2016.

Greg Taylor cover broken amid Celtic transfer wait as Kvistgaarden emphatic amid £7.5m payday roadblock

It's set to be a blockbuster transfer window for the champions - and moves are already underway PAOK technical director Christos Karipidis has lifted the lid on talks with Greg Taylor. The Celtic left-back is weighing up his options ahead of his current Parkhead deal expiring this month - with Brendan Rodgers previously stating he is keen to keep the Scotland cap and see him battle it out with Kieran Tierney. ‌ But with the 27-year-old arriving from Arsenal, Taylor will see his status as first-choice left-back come under major scrutiny. ‌ PAOK have been strongly linked with the 27-year-old as they prepare for their Europa League campaign - and are said to have offered two year contract with the option of a third that will trump his current Celtic salary. Taylor is currently in Dubai with his family on holiday following the end of the double-winning season and speaking to Greek outlet Alpha, Karipidis appeared confident over an agreement. When asked about Taylor, he said: "We are simply awaiting the formal part." In terms of arrivals, Celtic are weighing up a blockbuster £12m bid for the Brondby star Mathias Kvistgaarden who is rated as one of the hottest properties in the Superliga. He has been called up to the Denmark national side for the first time amid rocketing interest from Eintracht Frankfurt and the Hoops - who have long been admirers of the 23-year-old. ‌ Before the end of the Danish season, the forward expressed he was ready to leave Brondby this summer. Speaking to TV 2 Sport after his first call-up he said: "I think I'm ready. I've made my mark at Brondby and in the Superliga, so I'm ready to take the next step." The club are also looking to offload fringe men - and despite Olympiacos will not pick up the £3.5million option-to-buy in Luis Palma 's loan El Heraldo report that the player's representatives are looking for "a route out of Celtic" permanently this summer. ‌ Gustaf Lagerbielke's permanent exit could also land the club a windfall - but FC Twente won't bring in the Swede long-term with a £3million option-to-buy with VI reporting there is a "good chance" he will return to Glasgow. Jonathan Joss' murder investigation takes turn as police backtrack on statement

Police have backtracked on a previous statement about Jonathan Joss' death as they state they were 'premature' in dismissing claims his murder was because of his sexual orientation. On Sunday night, Joss, 59, was shot and killed in San Antonio, Texas, with Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, 56, since charged with murder. Since Joss' death, his husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, shared a lengthy statement on Facebook, claiming the actor had been killed in a homophobic attack. A previous statement from a San Antonio PD spokesman claimed they did not believe Joss' death was related to homophobia 'Despite online claims of this being a hate crime, currently the investigation has found no evidence to indicate that Mr. Joss's murder was related to his sexual orientation.' In a press conference on Thursday, San Antonio's Police Department Chief William McManus retracted the statement, commenting that it had been released 'way too prematurely.' 'We shouldn't have done that, it was way too early to make a statement of that nature, we didn't have information to make that statement,' he said. More Trending 'We understand the LGBTQ+ community is feeling anxious and concerned, a lot of it has to do with that statement, we're sorry. 'The loss of Jonathan Joss was tragic and felt by the LGBTQ+ community, there's also a concern around the circumstances surrounding that death and the history leading up to that.' The late actor was best known for playing Chief Ken Hotate in the Parks and Recreation comedy series and for voicing John Redcorn on the animated sitcom King of the Hill, which ran for 13 seasons between 1997 and 2009.
