Man arrested in Danville after loaded firearm found in car
DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — A man was arrested in Danville after police found a loaded firearm in his car.
Danville Police said their officers stopped 34-year-old John Forman of Danville on North Bowman Avenue near East Harrison Street for both equipment and moving violations on Thursday morning.

Upon investigating, police found a loaded firearm in Forman's car. As a convicted felon, Forman is not allowed to carry a firearm under Illinois law.
Forman was taken the Vermilion County Public Safety Building, where he was charged with Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon.

One dead, two hospitalized in Decatur crash
DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — A 68-year-old Decatur man was pronounced deceased following the serious injuries he sustained in a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon. At approximately 3:11 p.m. on June 13, Decatur Police Officers were called to the intersection of W Rock Springs Road and Westgate Drive in reference to a crash involving two vehicles. The initial investigation revealed a Chrysler PT Cruiser was sitting in the eastbound lane of W Rock Springs Road facing westbound. A Chevrolet 1500 truck was traveling westbound on W Rock Springs Road and collided with the passenger's side of the PT Cruiser. The driver of the Chevrolet 1500 was an 18-year-old male and Decatur resident, while the passenger was a juvenile male from Decatur. Both occupants of this vehicle were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the PT Cruiser was a 68-year-old male and Decatur resident. He sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later. Additionally, there were no indications that the driver of the Chevrolet 1500 was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Members of the Fatal Accident Investigation Team responded to the scene and are actively investigating the crash. There is no further information available at this time. Man in critical condition following Chesapeake shooting: Police
CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – A man is in critical condition following a shooting in Chesapeake Saturday morning, according to the Chesapeake Police Department. Officers responded to the 3200 block of Border Road with reports of gunshots in the area and found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds around 4:40 a.m. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was determined to be in critical condition. Springfield Police searching for tips in Tuesday retail theft
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — The Springfield Police Department is asking for help identifying two people whom officials accused of retail theft. The theft happened Tuesday at the Ulta Beauty on South Veterans Parkway. Officials did not go into detail about the crime or the value of stolen merchandise, but they did release images of the suspects. One is a Black male who was wearing a navy-blue jacket, a white t-shirt and a blue baseball cap. The other is a Black, dark-haired woman who was wearing a red or orange top and floral-patterned pants.
