Virginia Giuffre's father insists she didn't die by suicide: ‘Somebody got to her'
The father of Jeffery Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre does not believe his daughter died by suicide, insisting instead that 'somebody got to her.'
Grieving his daughter's death on Thursday, Sky Roberts refuted his family's claim that Giuffre — the most prominent victim of the disgraced financier — could have taken her own life.
'No way,' Roberts said on 'Piers Morgan Uncensored.' 'I can't believe that this is happening. It's just, it's impossible.'

'And then for them to say that she committed suicide, there's no way that she did. Somebody got to her.'
Giuffre, 41, was found dead in her home in Neergabby, Australia, last week, with her family confirming that she had committed suicide and left a note behind with a final message for sexual abuse survivors.
Roberts said he continues to sob over his daughter's death, describing Giuffre as a survivor who stood strong for others despite the horrors she experienced when she was a teenager taken by Epstein.

'As someone who actually got out of a bad situation and made a good situation out of it, that she was helping a lot of other young girls that were feeling the pain of what goes on with people like that… I think she's strong, very strong, and that's why I don't think she committed suicide,' Roberts said.
'She had too much to live for. She had her foundation,' he added, referencing Giuffre's advocacy work.

Shohei Ohtani thought he was ‘in trouble' before Dave Roberts gifted him a toy Porsche
The last time Shohei Ohtani thought he might be in trouble was when his name was linked to a federal investigation into illegal sports gambling in March 2024. His name was soon cleared by authorities, who charged and convicted Ohtani's interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara, in federal court with surreptitiously stealing more than $17 million from the Dodgers superstar to pay off an Orange County bookmaker. Ohtani wondered if something was amiss Wednesday when manager Dave Roberts summoned him before the Dodgers' home game against the New York Mets. But not for long. Ohtani rushed into Roberts' office, saw a bright pink remote-controlled toy car on the ground and immediately started laughing. 'I have a gift for you,' Roberts told him. Woman pleads guilty to aggravated robbery at Urbana car dealership

(WCIA) — Nearly two years after the crime occurred, a woman has pleaded guilty for her role in an armed robbery at an Urbana dealership in 2023. On June 7, 2023, a Crispin Auto employee was robbed at gunpoint and a car was stolen. The next day multiple people were arrested in a McLean County town. Police officials said the car they were driving in was stolen from an Urbana dealership. Michaella Campbell pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery on Monday. She was ordered to serve 48 months of probation, 180 days in the Champaign County Correctional Center (with credit for 145 days previously served) and 100 hours of public service work. If Cook County approves, the probation will be served in their jurisdiction. WCIA previously reported that surveillance video obtained after the aggravated robbery shows the incident started with a test drive involving an employee and two White women. When the three returned to Crispin Auto, two Black men were recorded on surveillance footage running up to the car as the employee was getting out. One pointed a gun to the back of the employee's head and shoved her out of the way. Seconds later, the same employee was pepper sprayed by one of the women before she got in the car with the other suspects and drove away. Third defendant in U of I pro-Palestine protest pleads guilty to misdemeanor Three other people were arrested alongside Campbell, according to the Urbana Police Department. This included Michael Roberts, Deandre Young and an unnamed female juvenile. Roberts and Young previously pleaded guilty, in June and December of 2024 respectively, to aggravated robbery. They each received 48 months of probation, and a 180-day jail sentence. Roberts received 366 days credited for time served, while Young received 545 days credited for time served.
