How 49p could bag you a Lytham St Annes beach hut for the whole summer
Since arriving in 2012 the huts have welcomed more than half a million visitors, who love having a base for their day trip to the much-loved seaside town.
Equipped with electricity and a fitted kitchen, along with a table and chairs, they've become a huge hit with families and groups looking to hire them out for a get together or celebration.

With the best fish and chips on the doorstep and the option to order afternoon tea straight to your hut, it's hardly surprising they've been such a success.
And now the owner of the huts is giving one lucky person the chance to win one of the huts for the entire summer.
With just a 49p entry fee, the winner of the competition shared on the Beach Competitions website here, will have exclusive use of a hut from July 1 to September 1, 2025.

All you have to do is answer a simple question and submit your entry, costing 49 pence per ticket.
It comes after beach hut owner Stuart Robertson decided to launch the competitions website to help families make memories together. Others running on the site include the chance to win a four-night break in the nearby St Annes Beach Apartments, which they also own.
"It started with small prizes like a beach hut with champagne afternoon tea, an apartment getaway with spending money, that kind of thing," said Stuart. "But now we're ramping things up and launching our biggest giveaway yet - a beach hut for summer 2025.
"The winner gets exclusive use of their very own hut from July 1 to September 1. That's two whole months to make it theirs - picnics, seaside days, afternoon teas, you name it. It's something people ask me about constantly, booking a hut for the whole summer, or even owning one, so I'm buzzing to finally be able to say 'yes'."
He added: "I know there are a lot of competition sites out there now, but this one's really rooted in our story. The idea is to give people more of what they love about the beach huts - and create some once-in-a-lifetime seaside memories along the way."
Deadline for entries is 6.45pm on Friday, May 2, but the company reserves the right to extend it depending on the number of tickets sold.

The grasshopper is actually on the window of a moving plane, and about to fly off. Does this backyard pool setup feature a full kitchen? Sadly, no. It is just the reflection of the kitchen from inside on the window. Yikes! What is going on with this dog's teeth? The dog has a pinecone in its mouth! Wait, are these packages floating? No, no. The delivery person's photo is sideways! Why is this tiger so ginormous? It appears so big because of the lower camera angle at which this was taken. Your brain may have also interpreted the doorway as a normal height when it is not. Why is there a big tube across the street? The bird feeder is actually not across the street; it is attached to the black pole on the left. What is going on here? This is an actual staircase, and the wall and upstairs are just painted very cool. This is one of those IYKYK moments. Is this some sort of weird hairstyle? You may already know, but this person is looking up and you are seeing their chin hair! Is there a painted checkered pattern on this sidewalk? Nope. You are seeing the shadow of the fence. And, lastly, has this person been stabbed with arrows? Thankfully, no. The arrows are in a dart board that is being hidden by the person's body. Nintendo raises the Switch 1 price from $299 to $339
The original Nintendo Switch, which has cost $299.99 in the US since its release in 2017, is now priced at $339.99 on Nintendo's online store. Other first-gen Switch models are now more expensive, too, with the Switch OLED going from $349.99 to $399.99, and the Switch Lite increasing from $199.99 to $229.99. Nintendo said on Friday that its decision to raise the price was 'based on market conditions,' just after implementing a similar new set of prices in Canada on August 1st. The US announcement came just one day after President Donald Trump signed an executive order that will impose new 'reciprocal' tariffs on a range of countries. Trump's growing list of tariffs now includes a 20 percent levy on products imported from Vietnam, where Nintendo has transferred most of its production. Nintendo also issued $10 price increases for the Alarmo and Switch 1 Joy-Cons, which now cost $109.99 and $89.99, respectively. Prices aren't changing for the Switch 2 console, as well as Switch and Switch 2 games, whether physical or digital. With the price increase, the Switch OLED is now only slightly less expensive than the $449.99 Switch 2 (which doesn't have an OLED display). The Switch 2 has been a massive hit so far, selling over 6 million units since launch despite Nintendo struggling to keep up with demand. The Nintendo Switch just got more expensive
Nintendo has just raised the price of the original Switch in the US. The console, which has cost $299.99 since its release in 2017, is now priced at $339.99 on Nintendo's online store. The price hike will make other first-gen Switch models more expensive, too, with the Switch OLED going from $349.99 to $399.99, and the Switch Lite increasing from $199.99 to $229.99.
