Kiwi batter Devon Conway replaces injured Finn Allen for T20I tri-series against Zimbabwe, South Africa
The triangular series will kick off on July 14 with a contest between the host Zimbabwe and South Africa, while New Zealand will feature in their first encounter on July 16 against South Africa. Each side will play the other twice before a final, which will be played on July 26.
Wicketkeeper-batter Conway replaces Finn Allen, who missed the series due to a foot injury he picked up while playing in the ongoing Major League Cricket (MLC) in the United States of America.
A recovery timeline will be put in place for Allen upon further consultation in New Zealand.
Hay, Neesham and Robinson join the squad as additional cover for Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Glenn Phillips and Rachin Ravindra, who are in the Major League Cricket tournament final scheduled on Monday.
The Kiwis' head coach, Rob Walter, was disappointed that Finn Allen wouldn't be a part of the setup.
'We're really gutted for Finn, I was looking forward to working with him and to see him continue his form from the MLC, but unfortunately, injuries happen. We're lucky to be able to call on someone of Devon's quality to replace Finn,' Rob Walter said.

IND v ENG: Kranti Goud becomes youngest pacer to record ODI six-fer, all you need to know about Madhya Pradesh quick
India's Kranti Goud became the fifth Indian pacer — and the youngest — to pick up a six-wicket haul in WODIs after registering figures of 6/52 against England in their third WODI at the Riverside Stadium on Tuesday. Kranti also became only the second Indian to achieve the feat against England after Jhulan Goswami (2005) and the third Indian to pick six wickets in an ODI match, alongside Mamatha Maben and Jhulan. ALSO READ: All records broken and milestones achieved during England Women vs India Women third match Hailing from a small village called Ghaura in the Chhatarpur district of the Sagar Division, a young Kranti grew up watching boys play tennis-ball cricket on the ground opposite their house. She wasn't interested in the games the girls were playing; she was only glued to the cricket. For a long time, Goud didn't know spinners existed in cricket. 'In tennis-ball cricket, I used to see that the bhaiyas would just bowl fast. That's why I took to pace bowling,' Kranti told Sportstarin an exclusive interview during the 2025 edition of the Women's Premier League — her maiden WPL campaign, where she played for the UP Warriorz. The 21-year-old would go on to finish the WPL 2025 campaign with six wickets in eight matches. Kranti made her WODI debut in the final of the Tri-Series on May 11, 2025, against Sri Lanka. In May 2025, she was named in the ODI and T20I squad for the series against England.
