Darwin Nunez paid tribute to his Liverpool team-mate Diogo Jota by performing his celebration after scoring in a pre-season friendly against Preston.
Liverpool were taking to the field for the first time since the tragic passing of Jota, 28, and his brother Andre Silva, 25, in a car crash in Spain on July 3.
Tributes were paid to Jota and Silva on an emotional afternoon at Deepdale.
Conor Bradley put Liverpool in front in the 33rd minute, with Nunez making it 2-0 in the 53rd minute with a good finish.
After finding the net, Nunez performed Jota's PlayStation celebration. He also pointed to the sky in memory of his team-mate.
Raul Jimenez, who played with Jota at Wolves, previously paid tribute with the celebration after scoring for Mexico against the USA in the CONCACAF Gold Cup final.

Nunez and Jota made 51 appearances alongside each other for Liverpool.
Jota's passion for playing FIFA (now called EAFC) was widely known, with the Portugal international often competing in tournaments online.
He also founded his own eSports company - Diogo Jota eSports - which was later named Luna Galaxy after his pet dog.
Prior to the game between Liverpool and Preston an immaculately observed minute's silence took place at Deepdale.
Liverpool's club anthem 'You'll Never Walk Alone' was sung before kick-off, while Preston's club captain Benjamin Whiteman carried a wreath which he placed in front of the away end as part of the hosts' tribute.
Players from both teams wore black armbands, while digital tributes were shown on screens around the ground.
A black and white image of Jota holding the Premier League trophy featured on the cover of a 16-page commemorative matchday programme at Deepdale.
Merchandise stalls sold scarves and flags bearing Jota's name.
Liverpool confirmed this week that the club's No20 shirt will be retired in memory of Jota.
Jota joined Liverpool from Wolves in 2020 and made 182 appearances for the Reds, while he scored 65 goals and provided 26 assists.

Skipper Kosovare Asllani believes underdog perception ‘suits' Sweden

Sweden earned their place in the quarter-finals after finishing top of Group C with three wins from as many games, including a thumping 4-1 victory over Germany in their last group match. The Scandinavians have progressed deep in their last two major tournaments, finishing third at the 2023 World Cup and reaching the semi-finals at Euro 2022 – where they were knocked out by the Lionesses – but Asllani believes their perception as underdogs can be beneficial. Sweden finished top of Group C (Nick Potts/PA) 'People rarely speak of us as a team that can win the tournament so we're flying under the radar,' she said in quotes reported on UEFA's website. 'That suits us a little. We know that we can beat any team in the world when we're at our best. People should talk about us more.' Asllani is relishing competing in the knockout stages, telling a press conference: 'It feels like the tournament really gets going once the group stage is over. 'We have experience in these kind of matches and it is a little bit like the fun starts now when you test your mettle against the best teams. It's just a longing for the game to start now. 'It's going to be an incredibly tough match but I do think we're fairly evenly matched. You can tell that from the last two games against England, two draws.' England and Sweden met at the last Euros (Danny Lawson/PA) Sweden were beaten 4-0 by England in the semi-finals of Euro 2022, but Asllani admitted it is not a result she has dwelt on having met the Lionesses since then, drawing twice in qualifiers for this tournament. She said: 'I haven't thought about that match at all to be honest with you. What is most recent in my mind are the two most recent matches against England, two draws, and since then a lot of things have happened. 'We've played a number of matches after that against other teams and that is what you need to focus on. Of course, it's not as if I've completely forgotten that match, but it's not something that I dwell on. 'For my own part, I'm just longing for this game to start and start it with the attitude of 'yes, we're going to win this match'.'

Feyi-Waboso returns as Borthwick names England XV to take on USA

Elsewhere, there are debuts for centre Max Ojomoh, second row Arthur Clark and full-back Joe Carpenter as England bid to complete a transatlantic clean sweep of victories in the final Test of the tour. Borthwick, who played here for England last time they took on the Eagles on American soil back in 2001, took huge pride from his side's impressive 2-0 victory over Los Pumas and hopes they can cap a summer to savour at DC's Audi Field this weekend. 'We know the USA will present a tough challenge,' he said. 'There's been a great spirit in the squad throughout this tour. 'The players have worked hard for each other and pushed standards every day. 'Those selected this weekend have earned their chance through their effort and attitude. 'We aim to keep building the squad, learn from every experience, and deliver a performance that our supporters can be proud of.' George Ford, who brought up his 100th England cap in the opening game against Argentina in La Plata, captains the side from fly-half while Jack van Poortvliet, who scored the crucial late try to down Los Pumas in San Juan in the second, completes the half-back pairing. Bath star Ojomoh, 24, gets a first England start alongside Luke Northmore in the centres, while Caden Murley starts on the opposite wing to Feyi-Waboso and Sale Sharks' Carpenter dons the No.15 jersey. In the pack, Curtis Langdon starts at hooker after Jamie George's eleventh-hour British & Irish Lions call-up and Theo Dan's injury during the second Test in Argentina. Bevan Rodd and Asher Opoku-Fordjour flank Northampton Saints' Landon as props, while Gloucester's Clark gets a debut alongside Alex Coles in the second row. Chandler Cunningham-South, Guy Pepper – who made Van Poortvliet's decisive try with a brilliant break – and Alex Dombrandt make up the back row. On the bench, hooker Gabriel Oghre – called up as cover after George's Lions call-up and Dan's injury – fly-half Charlie Atkinson and centre Oscar Beard could also earn their first England caps.

I love you so much, and I miss you even more. I hate that this happened' 'Today, the world gets to see just a glimpse of your passion and talent and wow, you are amazing in this show. 'You cared so deeply about the people around you. You wanted to make a difference, and you are lighting up that stage like you were born to do. 'You were made to be a judge, to guide, to encourage, and to let your voice be heard. Watching you in this show, I've never been more proud. 'I just wish you got to see it. It's everything we knew it would be when we were at filming. 'This show will forever hold a special place in my heart because it's one of the last times I saw you, and I got to witness you shine so bloody brightly, but it's also allowed me to still feel close to you. Stripped across 10 episodes, fans wondered how the show would address the unexpected death of the singer - especially after reports that there were plans to cut down Liam's presence in the show. However, at the start of the episode, AJ addressed the audience with a powerful message, moving viewers to tears. 'When we came together to film building the band we never imagined we'd soon be saying goodbye to our friend Liam Payne,' he began as it faded out to a series of images and clips of the singer on the show. He continued: 'Liam is a guest judge in later episodes, and through his presence, we see his deep love for music and his unwavering commitment to helping others find their voice. It's through that spirit that we dedicate this series to Liam and his family.' Building The Band is available to stream exclusively on Netflix now.
