Host Kapil Sharma asked Iyer, 'When you take a catch to dismiss a senior player from the Indian team in the IPL, do you celebrate or act modest, like it just happened accidentally?'

With a grin, Shreyas replied, 'I feel happy. I actually feel glad. We get yelled at in the Indian team (Jab team me itna gaali khaate hai), and then, when we get the same seniors out…'
Before he could finish, Rohit interjected with a smile, 'I know he's talking about me.'
To which Shreyas quipped, 'Indeed, haan. Whenever I get a chance to get the seniors out, I enjoy it from the bottom of my heart.'
The moment has struck a chord with fans, and the clip went viral on social media.
On the field, Iyer has led PBKS to a dream season, topping the league table with 19 points and defeating Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2 to reach their first final since 2014. RCB, meanwhile, are also seeking their first title after reaching the final via Qualifier 1.

RCB fan frenzy turns fatal: 11 dead, 75 injured
Bengaluru: What began as euphoric celebrations to mark Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) maiden IPL title ended in tragedy Wednesday evening, when a stampede at the Chinnaswamy Stadium claimed 11 lives and left 75 others injured. The incident, one of the worst fan-related disasters in Indian cricket history, unfolded as thousands gathered to celebrate RCB's long-awaited victory. Those confirmed dead include Bhoomik (21), Sahana (19), Poornachandra (32), and Prajwal (20), Chinmayi (19), Dewanshi (13), Shravan (20), Devi (29), Shivalingaiah (17), Manoj (33), and Akshatha (age yet to be confirmed). RCB clinched their first IPL trophy on Tuesday night, ending a 17-year drought. With the mood in the city electric, the team announced a grand victory parade from Vidhana Soudha to the stadium, with Virat Kohli leading the procession, cup in hand. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah said: "It is deeply shocking. A moment of joy has been eclipsed by sorrow. Nearly three lakh people descended to celebrate, nobody expected so many people. Though 1,500 cops were deployed, they were outnumbered by the sheer size and enthusiasm of the crowd who were waiting to rush into the stadium. With two events planned — a public felicitation one at Vidhana Soudha and a reception at the KSCA — the police force deployed had to be split between the two venues, stretching them thin. "Fans, who had no idea on how to get passes or buy tickets for the celebrations, tried to force themselves inside," police said. The govt has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the tragedy. Confusion on entry into the stadium with no clarity on which gates to use, led to the stampede-like situation, said many who were at the scene.

A perfect storm of giddy, overenthusiastic fans, poor planning by officials, bad stadium management, stretched police force, shortage of time, clueless event management and lack of communication between stakeholders resulted in the tragic -- and totally avoidable -- deaths of 11 RCB fans and left nearly 100 injured. At the crack of dawn, RCB lit up social media with the big news: The champions were flying home with the coveted IPL trophy and would celebrate with a grand victory parade in Bengaluru. It was an announcement that caught the cops unawares as they had no communication about it. But it sent the already-electrified fanbase into overdrive. Then came the colossal collective failure: Police honchos failed to act swiftly and draw up crowd-control plans. Politicians turned the celebration into a photo-op frenzy, brushing aside warnings in their race to bask in reflected glory. Many brought their families to Vidhana Soudha to pose with the cricketers. TOI reporters, who could not even get in, found that most gates stayed shut and false rumours of gate numbers led to huge rush. Naturally barricades collapsed, metal grills broke down and those who fell -- mostly young people and women – found themselves unable to get up and got crushed and trampled.
