Prime Video axes 10 shows - was yours on the list?
By
Prime Video has axed ten shows in a devastating blow to fans - but did your favourite survive the cull? The streaming platform is the home to many avid telly watchers' much-loved films and series. However, some firm favourites are set to be cancelled after several seasons, and others after just one. Harlem, Clean Slate and The Summer I Turned Pretty are all well-watched and have raving reviews online. Despite this, they will not see another season on Prime Video. Read on below to find out which ten shows are being axed from the site.
Almost Paradise
The comedy drama lasted two seasons and delved into the story of drug enforcement officer Alex Walker (Christian Kane) who takes an early retirement and moves to live nearby a beach. However, he soon realises the area is full of resorts housing 'the rich and famous criminals of the world,' according to the synopsis. Both seasons of the action series, directed by Dean Devlin, consist of ten episodes each. Since Amazon Freevee, which the show was based on, has been cancelled, Almost Paradise is set to be cut too. Fans may be in luck, however, as producer Dean has reportedly shared he is 'looking for a new home' for the show.
TV fans will be heartbroken to realise that beloved comedy series Harlem has been brutally axed - despite its incredible 98% Rotten Tomatoes score . Harlem, created by Tracy Oliver, hit Amazon Prime Video back in December 2021. The drama returned for a second series in February 2023 and later that year it was revealed that there would be a third. The third installment premiered back in January but was unfortunately the last one.
Vernon Sanders, who is head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, said: 'As we prepare to say goodbye to this incredible series, we're both grateful for the journey Tracy has taken us on and excited for our global customers to experience a final season that truly honors these characters.' Executive producer Tracy added: 'It's been an incredible journey and I'm honoured to see the impact it's made in the culture, as well as the impact it's had on all of us who've been blessed to work on it.'
The Summer I Turned Pretty
Based on Jenny Han's trilogy, the hit teen drama is set to come to an end after the third series airs later this year in July. The Summer I Turned Pretty is centred on Isabel 'Belly' Conklin, a teenage girl who ends up in a love triangle with a pair of brothers. It stars talent such as Lola Tung, Gavin Casalegno and Christopher Briney. Amazon and MGM Studios' head of television, Vernon Sanders, previously issued a statement to elaborate on the success of the coming-of-age series.
'We've been delighted to see the passion with which fans have embraced The Summer I Turned Pretty, making Summer Fridays an entertainment phenomenon,' he said. 'This charming, deeply heartfelt series has shown the breadth of our customer base, appealing to a young, diverse set of viewers. 'Jenny Han is a gifted storyteller, whose fans have been clamouring for the third chapter of this story,' he stated.
Clean Slate
The Pradeeps Of Pittsburgh
Since premiering in 2024, the comedy has received positive ratings and boasts a strong 75% score on Rotten Tomatoes but is facing the axe due to the Freevee shutdown. The Pradeeps Of Pittsbrugh follows an Indian family who try to prove they are innocent to government agents and recall their 'initial life in America after moving from India'. Taking the viewer on a tale of humorous and heartfelt tales, each family member recounts things differently. Naveen Andrews, Sindhu Vee, Sahana Srinivasan, Arjun Sriram and AShwin Sakthivel star amongst others.
The Sticky
Hit comedy series The Sticky has also been brutally axed despite its glowing reviews. The TV show, created by Brian Donovan and Ed Herro, hit our screens in December last year. The Sticky is loosely based on the story of the Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist, which took place between 2011 and 2012. Unfortunately it has been confirmed that it won't be back for a second series.
Deadline has reported that the programme 'could not break through and draw wide enough audience despite solid reviews'. The Sticky was released on Amazon Prime Video on December 6 and saw six episodes in the first season, starring the likes of Margo Martindale, Chris Diamantopoulos, Guillaume Cyr, Guy Nadon and Mickaël Gouin. They were joined by Suzanne Clément, Mark O'Brien, Meegwun Fairbrother and Jamie Lee Curtis on our screens.
Cruel Intentions
The Amazon Prime Video series Cruel Intentions also faced the boot after just one season. The show, a spinoff of the 1999 film starring Sarah Michelle Gellar and Reese Witherspoon , hit the streamer last November. The late 90s movie was based on the 18th century novel Les Liaisons dangereuses, translated to Dangerous Liaisons, by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos. The updated iteration starred Sarah Catherine Hook, Savannah Lee Smith, Zac Burgess, John Harlan Kim, Sara Silva, Sean Patrick Thomas, Brooke Lena Johnson, and Khobe Clarke. Per Variety , the cancelled show was initially put together at IMDB TV in 2021, then was ordered by Prime at the end of 2023.
The Power
Sci-fi series, The Power, was adapted from the 2016 novel of the same name by Naomi Alderman and hit screens in 2023. The show follows a group of teenage girls who mysteriously develop a special power that allows them to electrocute people at will, according to the synopsis. Starring Toni Collette as Margot Cleary-Lopez, the democrat mayor of Seattle, Toheeb Jimoh and John Leguizamo, The Power consists of nine episodes. However, despite boasting a strong 76% Rotten Tomatoes score, the show has been axed from the streaming platform. In April, TVLine confirmed the news and said: 'The Power is in fact cancelled and will not be returning for Season 2.'
Citadel: Diana and Citadel: Honey Bunny
Citadel, first released on Amazon Prime Video in 2023, is a spy action series starring Richard Madden , Priyanka Chopra , Stanley Tucci and Leo Woodall. Originally, the show was going to see two spin-offs called Honey Bunny, set in India, and Diana, based in Italy, open up the storyline.
Both have seen just one season each so far, released last year. However, it has now been reported that they will instead be weaved into the second season of Citadel. But bosses have promised that the merge will bring the 'most exhilarating' installment yet.

Draco Malfoy actor Tom Felton to reprise role in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Tom Felton is to reprise his role as Draco Malfoy for the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play. The actor, who starred in all the film adaptations of JK Rowling's fantasy novels, will make a comeback as Harry Potter's school bully on Broadway at the Lyric theatre in New York later this year. The production said he was the first actor from the films to reprise their role on stage, in what will be Felton's Broadway debut. He said: 'Being a part of the Harry Potter films has been one of the greatest honours of my life. Joining this production will be a full-circle moment for me, because when I begin performances in Cursed Child this fall, I'll also be the exact age Draco is in the play. 'It's surreal to be stepping back into his shoes – and of course his iconic platinum blond hair – and I am thrilled to be able to see his story through and to share it with the greatest fan community in the world. I look forward to joining this incredible company and being a part of the Broadway community.' Felton, 37, made his West End debut in the supernatural thriller 2:22: A Ghost Story in 2022. He would begin his run in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on 11 November for a limited 19 weeks, the production said on Thursday. The show's producers, Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender, said: 'Tom's return to Hogwarts bridges generations of fans and breathes new life into a beloved story. We're beyond thrilled to welcome Tom back 'home' but also into a new family: our Broadway company.' The play, written by Jack Thorne – co-creator of this year's hit Netflix drama Adolescence – opened in 2016 in London and has had a Broadway run since 2018. It was co-devised by Rowling and is set 19 years after the events of the final book, with Potter now a Ministry of Magic employee who, along with his wife, Ginny Weasley, must send their youngest son, Albus Severus, off to school. In the two-part play, which stretches over five hours, Albus struggles with the weight of his family legacy at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and goes to extreme and dangerous lengths to right the wrongs of the past. Caitlin Clark forced to apologize to Indiana Fever fan after courtside incident
Caitlin Clark was forced to apologize to a few Indiana Fever fans before Tuesday night's game after she launched a large bouncy ball into the crowd. Clark is currently out of action with a quad injury, with her possible return being on Saturday against the Chicago Sky. With her trying to stay busy and support the Fever in action against the Washington Mystics, she was playing with a bouncy ball during the on-court introductions. Clark bounces the ball lightly on the Gainbridge Fieldhouse hardwood a few times before slamming it to the ground, expecting it just to go higher. The ball launches several feet behind Clark and into the floor seating behind one of the baskets. Clark runs over immediately trying to find the ball and apologizing profusely to the group of fans sitting in that section. pregame shenanigans with Caitlin Clark 😅 — Indiana Fever (@IndianaFever) June 4, 2025 Clark is the single best thing to happen to the Fever in franchise history, with the fans likely immediately accepting her apology. The point guard is not seen talking to them long before walking back onto the hardwood with her bouncy ball looking guilty at what had just occurred. Clark then was seen not bouncing her ball during the game and cheering on her teammates, alongside fellow injured Indiana star Sophie Cunningham. The Fever won their first game without Clark in the lineup this season over the Mystics, with a road trip to Chicago looming. Should Clark be healthy, she will be on the court against rival Angel Reese for the first time since their on-court incident from the opening weekend of the WNBA season. The incident led to a racism investigation from the league, which found no wrongdoing from Fever fans.

Channing Tatum looks tense with girlfriend, 25, at daughter's graduation as he risks run-in with Jenna Dewan
Channing Tatum looked a bit tense Thursday as he arrived at his daughter Everly's graduation in Los Angeles with his 25-year-old girlfriend, Australian model Inka Williams — just steps away from his ex-wife Jenna Dewan. The Magic Mike star, 45, maintained a serious expression while walking alongside Inka, who wore a chic polka-dot dress for the occasion. Tatum, who split from ex Zoe Kravitz in October after three years of dating, kept things casual in a white T-shirt layered with an open dress shirt, as the age-gap couple made their way toward the event before stopping for a brief conversation in the parking lot. Tatum and Dewan, 44, who were married in 2009 and split in 2018, share 11-year-old Everly, who appeared to be celebrating her middle school graduation. Jenna, meanwhile, stunned in a flowing lilac summer dress as she accompanied Everly, who looked adorable in a white floral mini dress with an oversized bow in the back. Channing Tatum looked a bit tense Thursday as he arrived at his daughter Everly's graduation in Los Angeles with his 25-year-old girlfriend, Australian model Inka Williams — just steps away from his ex-wife Jenna Dewan Tatum and Dewan, 44, who were married in 2009 and split in 2018, share 11-year-old Everly, who appeared to be celebrating her middle school graduation The Rookie actress was joined by her fiancé, Tony-winner Steve Kazee, with whom she shares two younger children—son Callum, 5, and baby daughter Rhiannon, 11 months. Channing and Inka had kept their budding romance relatively low-key, until the model broke her silence with a sweet Instagram post in April. The Balinese-raised beauty posted a tribute to celebrate the actor's 45th birthday. 'Happy life to the handsomest, kindest, funniest, stoopidest, most gorgeous human ever,' Inka wrote. 'Merci for making life beautiful and fun. Jtm trop fort,' she added, which is French slang for 'I love you.' Born in Melbourne and raised in Bali, Inka juggles a thriving modeling career with running her own fashion label She Is I. Reflecting on her upbringing, she told By Charlotte that life on the island shaped her into a 'very compassionate person.' 'I feel so connected to the culture and energy of this island. It's so sacred and deep,' she said. 'I think that's reflected in my day-to-day life and way of living.' Jenna, meanwhile, stunned in a flowing lilac summer dress as she accompanied Everly, who looked adorable in a white floral mini dress with an oversized bow in the back She also credited early modeling experiences with helping her 'build resilience and strength.' Channing's new romance came almost four months after he split from his fiancée Zoe. Channing and Zoe, 35, were romantically involved for three years and engaged for one before they called off the wedding at the end of October. The split was a particular shock for the couple, as they had not only gotten engaged, but Channing had been spotted with fresh ink of Zoë's initials on the back of his hand in September. The former couple were last pictured together on Channing's Instagram page in a post from September 3, which showed Zoë apparently snoozing on her then-fiancé's shirtless chest as he snapped a selfie of the two.
