Arch Manning breaks his silence on whether he will stay at Texas after this season
Earlier this month, the legendary Archie Manning, said Texas' starting signal caller wouldn't be entering the 2026 NFL Draft, where he would be projected as one of the top picks.
'Arch isn't going to do that,' Archie said to Texas Monthly. 'He'll be at Texas.'
Now, the 21-year-old prodigy has spoken for himself, 11 days before the No 1 Longhorns take the field against Ohio State in a top-5 matchup.
'Yeah I don't know where he got that from,' Arch said of his grandfather's comments. 'He texted me apologizing about that. I really am just taking it day by day right now.'
Peyton and Eli Manning's nephew did leave the door open about bolting to the NFL in several months. He's clearly focused on his first full season being the big man on Texas' humongous campus.

Manning enters the college football season as one of the most prominent athletes under the NCAA banner, as he is expected to lead the Longhorns back to the College Football Playoff.
One of the reasons Manning could stay in Austin, in line with what occurred with his family lineage of uncles Peyton and Eli Manning, is his ridiculous name, image, and likeness portfolio.
Manning is the highest-earning NCAA athlete, with his NIL evaluation, per On3, at $6.8million, which is higher than the annual value of most NFL rookie contracts.
Miami quarterback Carson Beck is second on that list at $4.3million, meaning Manning clears everyone else in college sports by $2.5million. That difference alone would make him the No 16 highest-profiting athlete.
Just like in the case of Shedeur Sanders, Manning's professional profits come with a higher risk for a larger reward.
Manning sat behind Quinn Ewers for two seasons with the Longhorns, with shouts for the latest from the quarterback bloodline to usurp his fellow five-star prep prospect.

August 20 - Samuel Basallo hit a go-ahead groundout in the 11th inning as the visiting Baltimore Orioles beat the Boston Red Sox 4-3 to sweep a two-game series on Tuesday night. The Orioles earned their sixth win in seven games despite being out-hit 8-6. Baltimore's Ryan Mountcastle and Colton Cowser had a hit and an RBI. Seven Baltimore pitchers held Boston hitless in 13 at-bats with runners in scoring position. Yennier Cano (2-6) tossed a scoreless 10th inning, and Corbin Martin who posted his second save, stranding Nate Eaton on third base in the 11th. Eaton did not try to score on Roman Anthony's potential sacrifice fly to center for the second out, and Alex Bregman popped out to end the game. In his first Red Sox start, Nathaniel Lowe hit a game-tying, two-run home run to right in the ninth to force extra innings. However, it was one of three straight frames in which the Red Sox loaded the bases without scoring. With Boston down 3-1 in the eighth, Connor Wong and Anthony hit back-to-back singles and Bregman walked to fill the bases. Orioles reliever Rico Garcia then entered and struck out the next three batters -- Jarren Duran, Trevor Story and Masataka Yoshida -- to get out of the jam unscathed. An inning later, after Lowe's homer, Boston drew three consecutive walks with two outs, but Yaramil Hiraldo got Story to ground into an inning-ending fielder's choice. In the 10th, Cano induced an inning-ending double play from Abraham Toro. Anthony, Wong and Romy Gonzalez all had two hits for Boston, which has lost three in a row. Boston's Walker Buehler labored through the first four innings, working around six combined baserunners to hold Baltimore scoreless. In the fifth, Jackson Holliday's Green Monster-banging double and a Luis Vazquez walk ended the Boston starter's day. Justin Wilson recorded the first out in relief, but consecutive RBI hits by Mountcastle and Cowser made it 2-1. A wild pitch by Greg Weissert allowed Mountcastle to score a third run. Sophie Cunningham reveals how she really feels about WNBA rival who caused season-ending injury
Indiana Fever star Sophia Cunningham has defended the WNBA star who played a role in her season-ending injury. Cunningham suffered a knee injury on Sunday night in Connecticut before the Fever later confirmed that she would be sidelined for the remainder of the season. The injury took place in the second quarter of Indiana's overtime win, when Cunningham went down hard after getting run into by Connecticut's Bria Hartley. She would be helped off the court with a towel over her head as she made her way into the locker room. Some fans - including Cunningham's sister and mom - weren't happy with Hartley, however now the Fever star has come out and defender her. Speaking on her podcast, Show Me Something, she said: 'I'm actually really good friends with Bria. 'I don't think that there was ill intent. I think it was a basketball play, I was just in the wrong spot at the wrong time. 'I have nothing but love for Bria and I even told my mom - because she had tweeted something. 'She [Hartley] would never try to hurt me. There are some girls that I think might but she wouldn't do that.' 'So, I have nothing but love [for her] and I hope people stop giving Bria some heat because I don't think she meant to do that at all'. Cunningham also delivered a fresh update over injury while on her own podcast, Show Me Something. In the latest episode, she said: 'I did tear my MCL. If you're going to hurt your knee, that is the best possible case. 'I was in the paint and someone ran into my knee and it just snapped. It went. And knee injuries are weird to me. But I felt a pop right away'. Shortly after she went off injured, Cunningham's mom, Paula, joined in the criticism and accused Hartley of endangering her daughter, after the incident occurred. Paula posted in a now-deleted post on X: 'Hartley is a disgruntled player having trouble everywhere she goes; she's plain mean and plays out of control'. As soon as Hartley made contact with Cunningham's lower right leg, the Fever standout immediately grabbed it and fell to the court. When cameras focused back on Cunningham during a stoppage in play, she was visibly yelling in pain. The Fever ruled Cunningham out for the rest of the game with a right knee injury. Cunningham had already been assessed with a technical foul in Sunday's game during a tie-up with Leila Lacan. The possible serious injury comes at a time when Cunningham's popularity has never been higher, after joining a roster and becoming close with Clark. Cunningham celebrated her 29th birthday on Saturday, with the Fever in the thick of the WNBA playoff race. The Fever have signed guard Shey Peddy to a seven-day hardship contract to replace Cunningham on the roster. Indiana will host the Minnesota Lynx on Friday night.

Diana Bojorquez, wife of Browns punter Corey Bojorquez, revealed the unexpected choice she made when listing an emergency contact for their daughter's school. As their toddler prepares to start school in Ohio, Diana posted a video on TikTok explaining the difficulty of navigating parenthood while living far from family. Diana explained: 'My toddler is going to start school next month, and we don't have any family out here where he plays in Ohio. 'And we don't really have friends outside of football just because we get so busy. We have a couple, but they don't live near us, like in the same city, so they live far.'
