
PIF announces pricing of $1.25 billion international sukuk offering

RIYADH — The Public Investment Fund (PIF) announced on Thursday the pricing of a $1.25 billion sukuk offering. The proceeds of the dollar-denominated offering will be used for PIF's general corporate purposes, the Saudi sovereign wealth fund revealed.
The seven-year sukuk was more than 6.5 times oversubscribed, with orders exceeding $9 billion. The sukuk will be listed on the London Stock Exchange's International Securities Market as part of PIF's international sukuk issuance program.
Ahmed Alrobayan, head of Public Markets, Global Capital Finance, at PIF, said: 'The strong investor demand for this new sukuk offering underscores PIF's robust credit profile, along with its role as a key driver of Saudi Arabia's economic transformation. The transaction represents a continuation of our established and diversified financing strategy, which draws strong support from international investors.'
PIF's long-term capital-raising strategy includes a diverse range of instruments, including sukuk and bond programs. Earlier this year, PIF completed its inaugural murabaha credit facility and last August renewed a revolving credit facility. PIF is rated Aa3 by Moody's with a stable outlook, and A+ by Fitch, also with a stable outlook.

The Ministry of Investment for Saudi Arabia and its Sport Sector Team have signed an investment agreement with RX Arabia to support the launch of FIBO Arabia in the Kingdom. The annual show brings together key players from the health, fitness, and wellness sectors to create a platform for innovations, investments, and trends tailored to an active lifestyle. Ministry of Commerce: Companies to be penalized if failed to submit financial statements by June 30
Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — The Ministry of Commerce announced that only 15 days remaining for companies, of which fiscal year ended on December 31, 2024, to submit their financial statements. These companies are required to file their financial reports by June 30, 2025, to avoid financial penalties in accordance with the Companies Law. The ministry emphasized that all companies must prepare financial statements at the end of each fiscal year in line with the accounting standards adopted in the Kingdom. These statements must be submitted within six months of the fiscal year's end, as stipulated in Article 17 of the Companies Law. The responsibility for filing lies with the company president, general manager, or chairman of the board, depending on the company's legal form. Submitting financial statements helps companies meet regulatory requirements, demonstrate operational transparency, and ensure compliance with market rules and performance benchmarks. It also protects companies from legal liability and supports shareholders and partners in monitoring performance, conducting financial analysis, and assessing corporate governance and transparency. This, in turn, enhances the company's credibility with financial and lending institutions. The ministry warned that failure to prepare or file financial statements in accordance with approved standards and legal provisions will result in financial penalties, as outlined in Article 262 of the Companies Law. Madinah records 82% satisfaction rate in quality of life, survey says
RIYADH: As part of its push to enhance livability under Vision 2030, Madinah has recorded an 82 percent satisfaction rate in the quality of life, marking a 16 percent rise over the previous finding, the Saudi Press Agency has reported. The new findings, released by the Madinah municipality, reflect significant public approval of recent improvements to parks, public services and infrastructure. More than 75,220 citizens and residents participated in the survey, according to the SPA. Driven by smart lighting, safe pedestrian pathways and improved public facades, satisfaction with the urban landscape rose to 78 percent — an 18 percent increase. Road quality satisfaction jumped to 62 percent, up 27 percent, following enhancements in road design and lighting systems. General cleanliness ranked among top-performing areas, with satisfaction reaching 81 percent. Neighborhood cleanliness stood at 71 percent, while satisfaction with environmental sanitation rose to 61 percent, a 28 percent increase, fueled by improved pest control, rainwater drainage, and faster municipal response times. The survey also showed 69 percent satisfaction with waste management, specifically the handling of construction and demolition debris. Some 71 percent of residents expressed satisfaction with direct municipal services, and 64 percent with indirect services, supported by the region's smart service portal and digital assistant. Public amenities recorded a satisfaction rate of 68 percent after the municipality added more than 14 new parks and expanded green space per capita to 2.1 sq. meters. Community engagement also featured in the survey, with 68 percent of residents satisfied with their role in shaping local decisions through open forums and channels of direct communication. The municipality said the results underscored its commitment to transparency and resident-focused development, and will be used as a reference point for future initiatives aimed at raising the quality of life across the region. The municipality has undertaken efforts to improve the city's infrastructure and tourism appeal. Madinah ranked 88th globally on Euromonitor International's 2024 index of the world's top 100 city destinations, and was seventh globally on the Tourism Performance Index.
