Former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov refused to shake Kate Scott's hand during a Champions League TV segment on account of his faith.
The football world converged in Germany on Saturday night as the Allianz Arena hosted the 2025 Champions League final between PSG and Inter Milan.
CBS Sports covered the action with their regular punditry trio of Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards and presenter Scott.
After Les Parisiens' crushing 5-0 victory, the group were joined at pitch side by popular livestreamer IShowSpeed and Khabib.
As the undefeated former fighter made his way over to his group he embraced each member individually before declining a handshake from Scott as her hand remained awkwardly outstretched.
Khabib then appeared to clarify his refusal to the presenter - previously known as Kate Abdo prior to her marriage to boxing trainer Malik Scott last year - who subsequently apologised on air.

Born in the Russian republic of Dagestan, Khabib is a devout Sunni Muslim and has been described as the faith's second most famous athlete in the world, after Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah.
In Islam it is forbidden for a believer to touch a member of the opposite sex that they are not related to.
The incident comes after a fellow UFC fighter and female team-mate of Khabib's revealed in 2020 that he would not train directly with her.
'It's a little bit weird because of their religion... they won't train with women,' Cynthia Calvillo told theScore.
'(Khabib) is still showing technique and stuff like that. So I still get to watch it. But it doesn't bother me … because they're not really being directly rude to me.'
Khabib's handshake refusal led to a mixed reaction on social media, with some fans insisting that he had not meant to offend Scott.
'Khabib respectfully declining Kate Abdo's handshake #respect,' wrote one X user.
'Beautiful! Very respectful from Khabib. I love to see this,' added another fan.
'I hope that she understood that it's a mark of respect in our religion and not a marginalization,' one fan stated.
However, others were less impressed and suggested Khabib had not shown the same respect to Scott as he did to her male colleagues.
'That didn't seem respectful. Forget about physical handshake, he even ignored her and didn't even greet and acknowledge her until she put her hands out,' one fan wrote.
Despite the initial awkwardness over the handshake, Khabib quickly settled into speaking about his beloved PSG after their dominant victory.
It was the French side's first European Cup triumph, and Khabib and fellow UFC star Islam Makhachev were there to witness it in person.

They won the first edition of the tournament back in 2019. Holders Spain and 2018 World Cup winners France will contest the other semi-final, which will be held in Stuttgart on Thursday night. It is the first time Portugal have beaten Germnay in any competition for 25 years. Their performance in the second-half was hailed by former Manchester City star Andy Hinchcliffe. He told Prime Video: "The genius of this goal is its simplicity. It's just pass and move football. Brilliant football to open Germany up. What a response to going behind from Portugal. He's not the attacking power he was but ultimately it looks as if Ronaldo's goal will be the decisive one. "The first half was a pretty even constant - Germany maybe shaded it. In the second half, yes Germany got the goal but it was an attacking flash. It's been a dominant performance from Portugal on and off the ball. "When Germany were 1-0 up, they adopted the right approach. They were looking for a second goal. But the substitutions from Roberto Martinez changed the complexion if the game. Western democracies have a duty to resist growing Russian aggression
SIR – Beyond the finances not adding up, which appears to be a feature of all Labour policy, the other thing that struck me about the Strategic Defence Review (report, June 4) was its leisurely response to what it acknowledged to be a present and growing threat. Surely the best answer to Russian aggression towards Europe is to increase support to Ukraine now, giving it everything we can without restrictions on use, while properly ramping up full sanctions and other deterrent actions against Russia. Russia is now weaker than it has been for some time, thanks to the extraordinary efforts of Ukraine. We in Western Europe have a moral obligation to defend Ukraine and other nations from repeated Russian aggression. Hopefully, at the same time, we may ultimately help Russia towards a better future, and deter China from resorting to conflict. Russell Martin appointed Rangers manager on 3 year contract as ex Southampton boss leads 49ers revolution
Martin is the man entrusted by the new Ibrox hierarchy to get Gers challenging again Russell Martin has been appointed as the new manager of Rangers on a three-year deal. Record Sport exclusively broke the news on Wednesday night that Martin will be officially paraded in the next 48 hours after convincing new chairman Andrew Cavenagh that he was the best man for the job. The Englishman has been without a club since getting the sack at Southampton last December, just six months after leading the club back to the Premier League through the Championship play-offs. It's believed the ex-Gers and Scotland defender had been in discussions with Leicester City but has knocked back the chance to replace Ruud van Nistlerooy by finalising a return to Govan instead. The appointment brings the near four-month-long search for a new manager in Govan to an end. The Light Blues had been without a permanent boss since sacking Philippe Clement at the end of February, with former club captain Barry Ferguson taking on the reins on an interim basis for the remainder of the campaign. But with 49ers Enterprises completing their takeover of Rangers last Friday, the hunt to get a new man in the dugout was ramped up. Sweeping changes in the Ibrox hierarchy have also seen Kevin Thelwell appointed as the club's new sporting director, with fellow Everton colleague Dan Purdy also joining Gers as technical director. Martin has already had a brief taste of what being at Ibrox is all about, having spent the second half of the 2017/18 season on loan with Gers during his playing career.
