'It is true that Lee Min has passed away,' a representative is quoted saying per The Korea Herald. 'The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances. The company is also still trying to understand the situation."

Min Lee Biography: From Los Angeles to Late '90s K-Pop Fame
Born on December 15, 1978, Min Lee (neé Lee Min-young) was born in Seoul, South Korea, but moved to the United States with her family at just eight months. Lee grew up in the Los Angeles, California area, the same city as her future As One band mate Crystal (neé Chae Da-hee), where she graduated from Fairfax High School, the SoCal school whose alumni include Mila Kunis, Demi Moore and Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
In 1999, Lee and Chae debuted together as the R&B duo As One with their first album Day by Day released on November 23, 1999, during a particularly busy month for Korean-pop acts with new releases by top girl group S.E.S., boy band g.o.d, punk band Crying Nut and the dance-rap collective Koyote. Still, As One managed to stand out from the competition for their experienced vocal styles with Day by Day songs like the title track and 'Wish You Wouldn't Know' becoming beloved classics, the latter of which was covered by popular K-pop singer Gain for a compilation album in 2012. As One scored other hit songs including 'Want and Resent,' 'You're Welcome' and 'Do You Have to Be Sorry.'
After the release of their fourth album Restoration in 2004, the duo signed with EMI Korea and joined a roster that included top K-pop acts of the day including DJ DOC and girl group Baby V.O.X. and continued releasing singles and albums.
In 2012, the duo moved to BrandNew Music, a Korean music company founded by Korean rapper and producer Rhymer, which allowed their past works to be celebrated and shared with a new generation of K-pop listeners with songs like 'Day By Day 2012' featuring rapper Verbal Jint (which hit the Top 25 of Korea's Gaon Digital Chart) and 'Want and Resent 2013' (a Top 20 hit).
While As One took an official pause from 2017 to 2019 to focus on their personal lives, the duo staged a comeback in 2019 with the signle 'It's OK Not to Be OK' featuring popular singer Lee Dae-hwi, a member of BrandNew Music's first boy band AB6IX.
As One hosted the radio program K-Popular on TBS eFM radio while remaining active as singers, dropping several holiday and live albums through their career. Most recently, the duo dropped two singles in 2025 including the harmony-heavy mid-tempo English track 'Still My Baby' featuring singer Bumkey, as well as a piano R&B cut 'Happy Birthday to You' in June.
The K-Pop Industry Remembers Min Lee
Jae Chong, the Seoul-born and Los Angeles–raised producer who has worked with artists like Uhm Jung-hwa, BoA, Jolin Tsai, JYJ and Aziatikx, shared his condolences through social media.
'Just lost another great artist and friend," Chong wrote on his Instagram alongside photos of him with Lee. 'I met Min when she was just 17 with big dreams and took her out to Korea to pursue a career in music back in 1998. I watched her career blossom as an artist. Always considered her as family. She was the most optimistic, positive person I knew. She will be missed dearly. Rest in peace.'
Singer Kim Hyun-sung, who debuted in 1997 and also staged a musical comeback in the 2010s, also shared his condolences on social media. 'I wanted to get in touch with you,' he said according to the Maeil Business Newspaper. 'I shouldn't have hesitated. I already miss your smile and the sound of your laugh.'

Paige DeSorbo, Andy Cohen, Lisa Rinna & More Bravolebs Win Big at Las Culturistas Culture Awards

The Las Culturistas Culture Awards 2025 votes are in, and, of course, several of your favorite Bravolebs won top prizes at the star-studded event. After making a "historic" landing on The Orpheum Theatre's stage in Los Angeles after a "12-minute ride" in the "Blue Origin Too" space capsule, Andy Cohen helped co-hosts Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers open the August 5 broadcast by passing the proverbial torch for the evening. "Wait, Andy, are you saying that, tonight, we have the keys to Bravo?" Bowen asked, while Matt added, "And therefore, by corporate extension, Peacock?" Andy's response? "Yes, boys, tonight it's all yours. Listen, don't do anything I wouldn't do, OK? Good luck." RELATED: See Bowen & Matt's Message for Andy Cohen Before the Las Culturistas Awards (EXCLUSIVE) Bowen, meanwhile, referenced an intimate question the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host asked NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal more than a decade ago, prompting Matt to chime in, "Well, I guess that means we can get away with a lot." Indeed, the LCCAs put a comedic, tongue-in-cheek spin on traditional awards shows, and here are all the Bravo cast members, past and present, who took home a "Cultch," which the Las Culturistas podcasters described as both "literally a West Elm doorstop ... yas-ified with spray paint and glue" and the "heaviest trophy in awards show history." Andy Cohen's 2025 Las Culturistas Culture Awards wins Andy earned two awards at the show, which was filmed on July 17. He, sadly, didn't have the opportunity to deliver a formal acceptance speech, though, because his were among the several non-televised nomination categories. RELATED: The 2025 Las Culturistas Culture Awards Categories & Nominees Have Been Revealed Andy's win for "Best Gay Guy — Famous" was announced in the middle of a clip package, and he only learned that he'd been selected as the "Father Award" recipient via his intro prior to presenting the final Cultch of the night for "Record of the Year." "I didn't know I won the Father Award!" Andy declared on stage after besting other such nominees as former president Barack Obama and Mark Ruffalo. "That was great." Lisa Rinna's 2025 Las Culturistas Culture Awards win Throughout the night, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Lisa Rinna modeled all of the nominated looks for "Outfit of the Year," before eventually collecting the Cultch herself for wearing "whatever the f--k she wants." In her acceptance speech, Lisa noted that it was the first award she'd won since her soap opera acting days "a really long time ago." She thanked her stylist, Danyul Brown, husband Harry Hamlin, and daughters Delilah Belle Hamlin and Amelia Gray Hamlin, whom she called her "biggest inspiration" and "greatest pride." "And I know my mom, Lois, is somewhere right up there tonight probably dancing her ass off," she added of her late mother, before encouraging viewers to "support our trans siblings" by ordering a Protect the Dolls t-shirt, which was also nominated in her category. Paige DeSorbo's 2025 Las Culturistas Culture Awards win Summer House alum Paige DeSorbo beat out four Lisas (including Rinna as an M&M) to win "The Allison Williams Cool Girl Award." While collecting her Cultch on stage, Paige called the big moment "truly such an honor" and joked that she "didn't even know Lisa Rinna was an M&M." In closing, Paige quipped, "To be honest, every girl in the world is a cool girl. So, whether you're brunette or you have long dark hair, whether you're on Summer House or on Winter House, um, this goes out to all the cool girls who are me. So, thank you." Angie Katsanevas' Las Culturistas Culture Awards win First, Sarah Michelle Gellar presented The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City's "pillar of the Greek community," Angie Katsanevas, with a solo award in the "Most Iconic Exchange of Words" category for her Season 5 "high body count hair" line. "I don't look like I have a high body count, and I don't dress like I have a high body count," Angie said, prompting a playful "I'm watching you" gesture, followed by a laugh from Britani Bateman in the audience. The RHOSLC Cast's Las Culturistas Culture Awards win Later, Angie returned to the stage with Britani and their RHOSLC castmates Bronwyn Newport, Heather Gay, Lisa Barlow, Mary Cosby, and Meredith Marks, to accept the "Best Way To Ride With Your Bitches" Cultch for the "big van that Housewives take to go on trips," earning them a standing ovation from Andy. "We actually won something!" Heather exclaimed, before asking if they had statues for all seven of them. Men shot alongside Kodak Black seek $10.6 million damages

Two bystanders wounded by gunfire outside a Justin Bieber-hosted party in 2022 are seeking $10.6 million (£7.9 million) in damages from Kodak Black. The men claim they saw the rapper "initiate" the altercation that led to the gunfire that struck the No Flockin singer, as well as them. The pair were set to begin a civil trial this month, but a judge has vacated the date. At a Wednesday hearing in Los Angeles, the lawyer for Adam Rahman and Mark Schaefer told the court that Black was the sole remaining defendant and should be found "in default". That means that he hasn't responded and should be held liable by the court. "Kodak has never been served with any lawsuit from California," the rapper's longtime lawyer, Bradford Cohen, told Rolling Stone. "I find it unusual that they're attempting to sue the very person who was the most injured out of the individuals who got shot." The plaintiffs first asked for a $62 million (£46.5 million) default judgment against Black last November. The court denied the request, citing inadequate proof of damages. A follow-up request for $10.6 million (£7.9 million) was denied last month, with the judge noting the men were required to show proof of medical bills. The lawsuit initially named Bieber and the owners of the venue where the shooting happened as defendants alongside Black. A judge ruled that the shooting was not "foreseeable" to the restaurant, so the corporate defendants were dismissed in June 2024. The plaintiffs voluntarily dismissed Bieber as a defendant a few months later.
