Woman stabbed at Westfarms Mall, suspects in custody
FARMINGTON, CT. (WWLP) – Police in Farmington, Connecticut are investigating a stabbing at the Westfarms Mall.
Enfield Police seek identity of alleged shoplifters
Police found a woman who was stabbed in the leg in the parking lot on Sunday afternoon at around 4:25 p.m., WTNH states. She was brought to a nearby hospital and is expected to be okay.
Police say a group of mostly juveniles went to the mall in order to have a fight. The woman walked out of the upper-level parking garage. Then, 18-year-old Destiny Burgos of Hartford, began fighting a 15-year-old girl.
As the fight took place, other juveniles were recording with their phones, and the 15-year-old allegedly took out a pocketknife from her pocket and stabbed Burgos multiple times in the leg before running off. Two juvenile suspects left the fight and went into an adjacent wood line and were found hiding in the woods.
The woman was taken to the hospital for her injuries and is expected to be okay. Four people, including three juveniles, were charged with breach of peace in the second degree. The 15-year-old was arrested and charged with assault in the first degree and reckless endangerment in the first degree.
Burgos was charged with assault in the third degree.

Man arrested in connection to 2023 crash that left East Haven cyclist dead
EAST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A North Haven man was charged in the 2023 death of a cyclist in East Haven, police said. Stephen Cote, 35, was allegedly driving a 2008 Chevy Equinox on Foxon Road when he struck 19-year-old bicyclist Joshua Cervero on July 16, 2023. Pedestrian suffers serious injuries after being hit by vehicle in Vernon Cervero died from his injuries on July 18, 2023. Investigation revealed that Cote was allegedly traveling at an estimated 57 mph in a 35 mph zone. The right headlight was also allegedly not working before the incident. Cote was charged with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle, traveling unreasonably fast and failure to have headlamps. He will appear in New Haven Superior Court on June 25. North Adams man sentenced to prison for raping three-year-old
PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A North Adams man was sentenced to prison on Wednesday for multiple charges related to rape of a child. 'Upskirting' case involved multiple victims, Berkshire County DA urges update on Massachusetts law Berkshire District Attorney's Office Chief of Operations Julia Sabourin shared in a news release that 29-year-old Austin Miller-Robinson was sentenced to 18 to 20 years in state prison for the charges of Aggravated Rape of a Child with Force and Rape and Abuse of a Child Aggravated by Age Difference. This sentencing stems from an investigation beginning in 2019, in which Miller-Robinson raped a three-year-old child. He was found guilty on June 4.
